02/10/2025: *Baglio nightmare* Don't stay in this Hotel! Everything is just old and run-down. We arrived and noone was there. Then someone barely speaking english came and told us receptionist will come at 6pm because he is with his kids now. At least they gave us the keys. We spent 2 min in our room: moldy smell, old furniture, rusty bathroom fixtures, shower door not working properly, mold in the shower. We went to the reception and asked for another room. Next room: same things. Then we had a look at the "beautiful" property in anticpation for a nice pool, whirlpool, tennis court and much more. Reality: pool smells like urine, whirlpool empty but full of leafs and frogs waiting to die, spa area closed, broken glass on the children playground, more fountain with bad smell and full of leafs and no tennis court to use. No tennis net, a broken down fence and just a lot of horse poop on the court. We called the receptionist, who referred us to the owner. By now we have decided we didn't want to stay here any minute longer in the middle of nowhere. We could not do anything here we were anticpating to based on these 15-20y old fotos they have online. We told the owner we don't want to stay and that we wish not to pay for anything we booked, because nothing was as promised. The owner didn't apologize in any way at any time and just said some things were "closed for maintainance". Probably he didn't even think about coming to his hotel to try and solve the problems we were complaining about. We never met him and couldn't speak to him in person. After the first call he did not take the phone anymore and was only available via whats app. We spent the whole day contacting expedia and check24 whom we booked it through to try and solve the problem. In the end we found out hat the owner had no intererest whatsoever in solving this. Later he said we would have to pay for 50% of the whole amount, because he could have given the room to other guests that weekend. Well, he could have given any other room to any guest, because we saw every key of every room still at the reception. And also we didn't see any other guests in the whole hotel area. It was just spooky. But we thought for 50% of the price that its worth not staying at this horrible hotel and ruin our vacation. We left the place knowing we will pay half the price for nothing. On the last day of our actual stay he charged our credit card, but not with 50% but 80% oh the amount without any communication. We texted him and never got a reply. I happily advice anyone thinking about staying there to immedeatly look for anything else because everthing else will be better than this run-down ruin. We wish we had read the recent google reviews earlier. The people experiencing the same we did were just portrayed as liars. Hopefully soon there will be enough pictures oh the conditions that forces him to renovate oder change the old images on the internet. This place might have had its charm in the past but now it's just disgusting. And fake information. We feel cheated.

30/08/2025: A disappointing dinner and a hefty bill. The risotto with shrimp and stracciatella was tasteless, like plain rice. The sardines alla beccafico were three in number, tasty enough but indigestible. The service was slow and not very attentive. I don't recommend it.

06/10/2025: Fantastic pizzeria! We ate very well and were thrilled with the pizza with lemon zest shavings 🍋!! Very friendly staff and clean place.

13/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant with a stunning terrace to admire the most beautiful sunset in this area. We found the service very friendly, the seafood dishes high-quality and presented with impeccable care. Even the desserts were truly top-notch (must try)!!! Excellent value for money. 04/10/2025: I was here this summer and I must say it was a truly pleasant experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly and kind, with a warmth that truly reflects the Sicilian spirit and makes you feel instantly at home. The prices are more than fair: €20 for a beach umbrella and two front-row loungers is a real luxury, considering that where I'm from, the same price is just for parking for a day at the beach. Highly recommended for those seeking relaxation, a warm welcome, and the authentic flavors of Sicily.

19/07/2025: Zelig immediately gives you a warm welcome—in one word: family, always available. We've had quick lunches, tasty dinners, and carefully prepared dishes with a Sicilian flavor. We loved the evening they organize every Friday with a buffet, live music, disco, and fireworks to finish. I highly recommend an evening or a lovely day at the Zelig Lido.

24/09/2025: It was a very pleasant surprise... Even though I was more than a little certain when I booked it... A family atmosphere, attention to detail, all the staff were very kind, as were the owners. The hot tub in the suite is beautiful. The cuisine was excellent... The food was truly good, and the breakfasts were also excellent. A heartfelt thank you to everyone... I would happily return.

22/09/2025: My wife and I spent a week at this delightful hotel, located opposite the marina and public beach of San Vito Lo Capo. We were delighted by the kindness of all the staff and the excellent cuisine in the restaurant, which, from breakfast to dinner, delighted us with everything and more, including the best local dishes. The building is a bit dated, but in the end, only the bathrooms and a few details in the rooms, such as the practically unusable mosquito nets, suffer from this. However, the management did a great job of equipping the bedroom with a small stove, which came in handy! Overall, a highly recommended hotel!

03/10/2025: At the end of September 2025, my wife and I spent a week at this hotel called Trinacria in San Vito Lo Capo, half-board. We had a great time; Fabio and all the staff were always helpful and kind. Highly recommended hotel. Excellent restaurant with a variety of seafood dishes. Excellent cleanliness, and everything else. I will be back.

02/10/2025: September holidays. Small, clean hotel in a great location. Excellent food. Friendly staff. The private beach is too small and narrow to rotate the loungers properly.

21/09/2025: Access is quite far from the main road, about 15 minutes. Rustic decor, good capacity. Service is quite slow, but no worries, we're on vacation. Digital menu, but no network available, luckily the owner gives us Wi-Fi. Good quality dishes. Prices are ok.

Then the waiter, or rather the manager who was billing us, took us by surprise with a quick, blunt remark that tips aren't included in Italian fare. However, the bill included coperto. It's a shame to rip off tourists like that.

03/10/2025: Best resto in scopello, with focus on fish and seafood. We had sword fish rolls with breadcrumbs, blueberry, pine & orange (incredible), pasta vongole (excellent) and tuna in pistachio crust (delicious). Make sure you sit outside on the terrace, not in the courtyard.

17/08/2025: I'm editing my review, having been here four years ago. I'm not removing the five stars because we had a good time at the beach, even though it was quite far from the sea. We went to eat at the Bagno Sirenetta restaurant in the evening, and I can say that the pizza was good, although they could have done better with the vegetables and eggplant. The fried fish was good. However, the service from the short, flip-flop-wearing girl who served us was terrible. I'm giving zero points for the service. Because we could see the faces she made when we asked her to take away the pizza in the container and a coffee. I'd say her behavior was unpleasant. Then she spilled the food she was clearing off the table all over my little son. Her apologies were half-hearted and noticeable. We also found the head of a small shrimp from the mixed fried fish on top of the Margherita pizza we'd asked to take away, as if it had been put there on purpose. I don't know who the girl is, whether she's the owner's daughter or granddaughter, but it would be better to leave her at home and hire other waiters who are more suitable for the service. 10/10/2025: An absolute insider tip! Fantastic food, incredibly attentive service! Beautiful ambiance! First, a stunning sunset, then the illuminated seawater right in front of our table. Five of us were there, and we all had freshly caught fish and several drinks. We paid around €40 per person. Highly recommended!
