02/10/2025: *Baglio nightmare* Don't stay in this Hotel! Everything is just old and run-down. We arrived and noone was there. Then someone barely speaking english came and told us receptionist will come at 6pm because he is with his kids now. At least they gave us the keys. We spent 2 min in our room: moldy smell, old furniture, rusty bathroom fixtures, shower door not working properly, mold in the shower. We went to the reception and asked for another room. Next room: same things. Then we had a look at the "beautiful" property in anticpation for a nice pool, whirlpool, tennis court and much more. Reality: pool smells like urine, whirlpool empty but full of leafs and frogs waiting to die, spa area closed, broken glass on the children playground, more fountain with bad smell and full of leafs and no tennis court to use. No tennis net, a broken down fence and just a lot of horse poop on the court. We called the receptionist, who referred us to the owner. By now we have decided we didn't want to stay here any minute longer in the middle of nowhere. We could not do anything here we were anticpating to based on these 15-20y old fotos they have online. We told the owner we don't want to stay and that we wish not to pay for anything we booked, because nothing was as promised. The owner didn't apologize in any way at any time and just said some things were "closed for maintainance". Probably he didn't even think about coming to his hotel to try and solve the problems we were complaining about. We never met him and couldn't speak to him in person. After the first call he did not take the phone anymore and was only available via whats app. We spent the whole day contacting expedia and check24 whom we booked it through to try and solve the problem. In the end we found out hat the owner had no intererest whatsoever in solving this. Later he said we would have to pay for 50% of the whole amount, because he could have given the room to other guests that weekend. Well, he could have given any other room to any guest, because we saw every key of every room still at the reception. And also we didn't see any other guests in the whole hotel area. It was just spooky. But we thought for 50% of the price that its worth not staying at this horrible hotel and ruin our vacation. We left the place knowing we will pay half the price for nothing. On the last day of our actual stay he charged our credit card, but not with 50% but 80% oh the amount without any communication. We texted him and never got a reply. I happily advice anyone thinking about staying there to immedeatly look for anything else because everthing else will be better than this run-down ruin. We wish we had read the recent google reviews earlier. The people experiencing the same we did were just portrayed as liars. Hopefully soon there will be enough pictures oh the conditions that forces him to renovate oder change the old images on the internet. This place might have had its charm in the past but now it's just disgusting. And fake information. We feel cheated.

02/10/2025: I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Unfortunately, you can't take photos of the smell. Do yourself a favor and book a different hotel. You wouldn't want to spend your vacation here.

07/08/2025: Très bel hôtel situé dans le charmant village de Scopello. La vue sur la mer depuis la chambre que nous avions choisie était superbe. Le petit-déjeuner et les dîners étaient délicieux — je les recommande vivement. La piscine était très agréable et originale ! Elle paraît plus petite sur les photos du site, mais en réalité, elle est suffisamment grande pour nager confortablement. Le jardin est absolument magnifique, et le restaurant du midi, à l’ambiance décontractée, offre une très belle vue sur la mer. Le service était chaleureux et très agréable.

03/08/2025: Tutto perfetto! Location (panorama mozzafiato che permette di vedere la splendida costa di scopello nonostante il ristorante si trovi in una zona collinare), servizio impeccabile e cortese, materia prima di ottima qualità e piatti presentati con un’idea dietro la preparazione, bilanciati e saporiti! Si intuisce che il lavoro dello staff è volto a dare il meglio per la clientela e questo è possibile soltanto quando si mette passione ed amore per il proprio lavoro. Molto cortese e piacevole anche il gestore del locale che ha permesso di concludere questa esperienza con un ulteriore sorriso! Consigliatissimo!

21/08/2025: Chemical ice cream, flat beer. Not recommended if you're looking for real Italian ice cream.

13/08/2025: I paid €6 for a "drink," as it says on the receipt, served at the counter and consisting of a draft Messina beer served in a 33cl plastic cup. Surprised by the price, I asked someone I was with how much they'd paid for the same drink they'd just bought, and the answer was €4.00. Advice to non-Alcamo patrons: ask for the price list before consuming, as prices can change within half an hour.

17/09/2025: This evening I bought a package from this pastry shop for my son's birthday. The hot food and the good cake, we're talking about 200 mixed pieces. Well done, congratulations, I made a good impression on friends and relatives. Thank you very much. See you again for my 40th birthday.

10/08/2025: I got a hot food package with cake for my daughter's birthday. Everything was delicious, the staff was welcoming and very friendly. I will definitely be back.

06/10/2025: Trattoria with a warm welcome, typical dishes cooked perfectly, house wine, a Grillo, more than pleasant and paired perfectly with the dishes. Aurora, super waitress

05/10/2025: This has become my favorite restaurant. The food is excellent, whatever you decide to order. The owner, Mariella, is a wonderful, friendly person who engages everyone. The atmosphere is comfortable and you feel right at home.

08/09/2025: A lovely family reunion, the restaurant was chosen for its location, easily accessible to all diners. The rest was a lovely surprise: excellent food, good quality and plentiful, the staff were all female (which I sincerely prefer), and then, last but not least, there was Priscilla, who, with her empathy and a smile for everyone, makes your day better... I hope to return soon.

04/10/2025: I had breakfast at this bar for three days with my family during our stay in Castellammare, thanks to a special arrangement with a guesthouse. If our vacation was fantastic, it was also thanks to this establishment that made us feel at home away from home. The food was all delicious and fresh, and everyone was kind and patient with us. Thank you for your wonderful work and your smile!

17/09/2025: Owner did everything he could to find back my hat that I lost the day before; including checking camera footage, and looking for the guy on his motorcycle.

15/10/2025: Fine, super greasy compared to authentic silician pizza. Bright white lights inside

13/09/2025: We returned to this pizzeria for the second time because we think it's one of the best pizzas we've ever had. The staff is really friendly. Highly recommended!
