19/04/2026: Six of us sat at a table covered in crumbs and water. We politely asked the waitress who took our order if she could clean it. She didn't come back immediately, but after a few minutes, she brought our order, but she didn't clean the table. We did it. She noticed and came back to clean, but by then we were finishing breakfast and had cleaned. Not even a word of apology. Cleaning tables is optional for a few.

01/04/2026: What an amazing place! Had a fantastic breakfast with some friends, pastries were delicious and drinks and coffees were spot on. I would totally recommend trying the granita and brioche. Also, the personnel welcomed us and was friendly and professional.

01/03/2026: I've ordered takeout from Pizzeria S. Antonio in Modica Alta several times, and I can say the pizza is truly delicious! The dough is light and well-leavened, the ingredients are high-quality, and the flavor is always impeccable. Another super positive is the prices: truly, very reasonable, especially considering the quality they offer. So far, I've only tried the takeout service, which has always been punctual and organized, but I'll definitely be eating there sooner or later. Highly recommended! 🍕

12/08/2026: Good food - we had the pizza. The price-to-quality ratio was okay. A very atmospheric place. We tried the desserts and wouldn't recommend them. They were okay, but nothing extraordinary. You can get much tastier parfait or tiramisu anywhere in Modica or Noto. The waiters were polite but busy. We waited about 20 minutes for the pizza. Like almost everywhere, the English was a 2 on a scale of 1 to 5, so it's best to use a translator :-) or learn Italian.

11/08/2026: For having brought us Manirico Poidofede, also known as Manipoido Ricofede or even Piedipoido Fedepiedi, is very very Sicilian good.

09/06/2026: The food is good, but unfortunately the location suffers from its labyrinthine layout. To eat the pizza (which is excellent, by the way) you need to be incredibly patient, as it takes a long time, given the amount of work they have to do. The fact that the place was packed (and they also do a lot of takeout) confirmed to us that it was worth the wait. They also accommodated us by delivering the pasta dish with the pizzas (I assure you, this isn't always a given in very crowded places on a Saturday night). Overall, the feedback was positive. I recommend it.

25/05/2026: Food was great. Had the mussels, pasta with sardines and fennel, seared tuna. Each was perfectly cooked and well plated. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Spoke perfect English. Prices were very reasonable. Would recommend

29/05/2026: Good hotel, safe motorbike parking and a good breakfast .

28/05/2026: We stayed at this wonderful hotel from May 19 to May 26, 2026. We were pleasantly surprised by its location, very close to the main cities and the sea. The room was spacious and spotless, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Convenient parking and very friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely return.

28/06/2026: The place eats well both as a restaurant and also as a pizzeria, in summer there is the possibility of outdoor seating.

22/06/2026: During our vacation, we dined at this restaurant two nights, sampling both the pizza and the seafood. Everything was excellent, the service was very efficient, and despite the fact that the second night there was a classy pizza party, none of the other tables experienced any delays in their deliveries. The staff was friendly and attentive. Celiac-friendly dishes are also available.

06/07/2026: We visited this restaurant on Sunday 21st of June at around 1:30 p.m. The city was very quiet, and there was only one other table of two people in the restaurant. Given the strong reviews, we were expecting a very good experience. We were six adults and two children. At first, the waitress was very kind and accommodating, asking whether we preferred to sit inside or outside. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we started ordering. We ordered a variety of starters, including Polpette di Manzo, Scaccia Selection, Cavato con Ragù, and Baccalà Pastellato, along with two glasses of wine. The wait for the starters was around 30 minutes, despite the restaurant being almost empty. Since we had children with us, we politely asked whether service could be a little faster, but the response felt cold and dismissive. When the starters finally arrived, they were very disappointing. The Scaccia Selection in particular was poor: it felt reheated, soggy, and lacking freshness or flavor. The rest of the starters were also very average and lacked character. For mains, we ordered Busiate con Sarde, Ravioli, Linguine, and Spaghetti al Pomodoro. The timing was again very slow, and after the long wait for the antipasti and primi piatti, we were already frustrated and simply wanted to leave. Overall, this did not feel at all like a 4.5-star restaurant. Perhaps we came on a bad day, but with only one cook and one waitress, the restaurant clearly struggled to handle a table of six adults and two children, even when it was nearly empty. The food was underwhelming, the service became uncomfortable, and the experience felt like a tourist trap despite the excellent reviews. I am writing this review even three weeks later because the disappointment stayed with us. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it based on our visit.

23/07/2026: The arancini at this place are a must! Everything they make is excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the prices are fair. I encourage anyone visiting from out of town to stop by; they won't be disappointed! 😀

21/07/2026: They say they make the best rustici in Modica here. Try the meat pastieri.

12/08/2026: An absolutely disappointing dinner. For tourists unfamiliar with fish, it might be okay, but when they offer, for example, the "carrellata" (a platter of fish), which includes meager quantities of substandard food for €38, you'd be quicker to write "theft" on the menu. Not to mention the "fritto misto" (mixed fried fish), a minimal amount of calamari plus a couple of shrimp, which should be called "the dish of shame." For those like me and my family who know their fish and enjoy eating it, even paying more than is fair, it was a huge disappointment. Over €100 wasted. AVOID.

24/06/2026: A charming, serene place immersed in the spectacular natural setting of Modica. The selection of flours used is among the finest, all locally sourced. All the other ingredients are excellent as well. Kindness, courtesy, and attention to the needs of their guests. This is more than just a pizza, it's a sensory experience!

01/02/2026: Very rustic pizzeria with exposed stonework. Nice, secluded location. Parking is awkward and narrow, plus the entrance is on the opposite side of the parking lot. The service is decent; the waiter is attentive and tidy. The pizza isn't good; it tastes like focaccia and is overcooked. The ingredients are decent, nothing exceptional. The most disappointing thing is that they advertise themselves as a restaurant and pizzeria, but on Sunday evenings they only serve pizza.

01/06/2026: First and last time. Lack of seriousness and professionalism towards customers. My husband ordered a €15 grilled meat platter that included chicken, rib eye steak, sausage, and a slice of pork chop. The plate arrived, and we found a small piece of chicken that looked like someone else's leftovers and a sausage knot cut open to make it look bigger. When the waitress asked, "Is everything okay?" we pointed out, clearly, that the chicken was almost nonexistent. I could go on, but I'll stop. When we got to the cashier, the chef told us he'd run out of chicken (it was only 8:00 PM and no one was there) and so he'd put in a whole rib eye steak (as small as my hand) instead of half! I didn't want to add to the fuss because I already thought the situation was embarrassing, but really, no comment. I don't like giving negative reviews, but this time I thought it was necessary. Customers shouldn't be taken for granted. We all work, and having our money stolen is pissing us off. It's not fair. Do something else and maybe do it better.
