10/03/2024: Food no better than what I find in the supermarket, hot ricotta is heated ricotta, tell me what's the point. Scacce of very low quality and sauce of the same quality, the only thing I found very good were the sweet ravioli, nice big and full, very tasty. Too bad there were only two. Anonymous meat, not even who knows how well cooked, it was quite stringy. for dessert some morsels of canestrelli with ricotta, good but these too nothing special, for goodness sake I ate 3 of them so it's not like they were disdainful. But it wasn't really anything special. Even the coffee was, so to speak, octopus water. The place as a farmhouse is very rural, old and ruined cutlery, paper tablecloth and narrow space, if nothing else well lit. Nothing to say about the service, the guys were quite easy going and kind. in the end the bill was quite cheap, €18, it could be ok but given the quality of the food I wouldn't go back. I repeat myself for goodness sake it wasn't disgusting but I ate better cooking alone at home. If I go to a farm I expect a better experience than just having avoided cooking.

10/05/2024: Cioccolateria che ha saputo sfruttare il business della cioccolata con la pubblicizzazione di tour guidati alla scoperta di una delle cioccolata più famose al mondo. Il tour è’ a pagamento.. la cioccolata cara.. a Modica ci sono posti in cui la fanno più gustosa nel rispetto della ricetta originale. Bisogna però dare merito a loro che dal punto di vista turistico non hanno rivali. Bene così!

07/05/2024: Antica Dolceria Bonajuto was chaotic when we went on a Wednesday in April – too many people in the lobby were vying for attention from the few attendants. The factory’s way of servicing customers was inefficient – one at a time for numerous tastings rather than attempting to address the needs of multiple customers simultaneously. Fortunately for us, we had pushed our way to the front and were able to sample different chocolates – all cocoa plus sugar without milk – before selecting a handful to purchase. We were disappointed that there was no tour that day of the oldest chocolate factory in Italy as advertised. Some groups had booked up all the available slots, so unless we wanted to wait until May, we were out of luck. There should have been better communication about this. Without the tour, Bonajuto was no better than any other store in Modica offering samples of their chocolate. Nobody really cares that it’s the oldest producer when you’re eating that day. Still, it was fun to see the folks in the back preparing the chocolate and deserts. We happened to meet a local chocolate connoisseur who advised us on a couple of specialties to try. The “Mpanatigghi e Nucatoli” had a secret ingredient with historical and religious origins. Cherry Wonderdog won’t spoil the fun for readers by spilling the beans here, but it’s definitely worth exploring during the visit.

19/03/2024: I always forget they exist but every time I go I am never disappointed. Both when I order sandwiches and when I order tacos. I recommend adding the chips because they are truly divine. Seeing is believing! They only sell Sicilian products (you can also notice it from the drinks: they don't have Coca-Cola but Polara for example). A philosophy that should be encouraged.

31/12/2023: Found by chance along the road, we went in believing that they had a fixed menu which they naturally do during the week for those who work, we ordered the lolli with fresh porcini mushrooms as a first course, really very good, the pasta cooked to perfection, really very good, second we had the boiled beef served in an airtight mouth with all its sauce, cooked very well and with just the right amount of salt, really very good, a unique experience for the palate. Advised

19/11/2023: splendid and easily digestible pizza, during dinner the owner, as well as the one who bakes the wonderful pizzas, explained to us that he uses ancient grains and works them delicately, I would say that the result is wonderful, some of us took the shank and the boiled in a jar, everyone happy, well done

19/05/2024: Very disappointing. There are tables to sit at, there is no table service and this would have been the reason why there is no bathroom! The provision of food and drinks (the table next to us had wine in the glasset complete with glass glasses) is regardless of the table service! Plus the owner insisted that it was takeaway food!!! Finally, the bar next door had a broken bathroom but it must have been an accident...

01/05/2024: A real treat!!! Fresh products, fried fish and delicious calamari rings!!! If you are in Modica I recommend you stop by!!!

28/04/2024: Spectacular wild strawberry granita! Pastry shop outside the center where it is absolutely worth savoring an excellent granita. Prices above average but worth a stop!

23/04/2024: Recommended by local acquaintances, I go to this place to taste their famous granitas. I had a ricotta granita with coffee foam and a brioche for €6.30. I gave 4 stars because the granita was simply fabulous, while the brioche disappointed me, I found it a bit stringy. It may have been a coincidence, who knows but I will more than willingly go back. Cost in line with other well-known pastry shops in Modica. A flaw, but perhaps I didn't see well, I didn't see the price list at the counter, but I didn't know the approximate prices. To conclude, a recommended place to come back.

13/02/2024: Gran bel locale sito nel centro di Modica. I piatti lasciano a desiderare a contrario del servizio super cordiale e invitante, purtroppo pecca molto nel conto finale in quanto i prezzi, a mio parere, sono un po’ altini per quello che viene offerto dalla cucina. Tutto sommato ci siamo divertiti.

06/01/2024: Castigo non perché sono cattivo ma perché non tollero dare soldi buoni e ricevere cibo e servizio “non buoni” Il nome mantiene le aspettative. Una cucina familiare tradizionale con sapori antichi. Ottime le zuppe ma anche il resto. Un ottimo posto per pranzare/cenare e per far conoscere a degli ospiti stranieri le nostre tradizioni culinarie. Prezzo/qualità adeguato

06/02/2024: Dear owner, I invite you to remember how the phone call took place, you seem confused and have a poor memory. I suggest you go back to school and study the grammar of the Italian language, then you learn the profession of the pizza chef... in practice... using good food and in theory... giving good suggestions. Anyway, the mozzarella was not on the pizza but scattered on the cardboard, impossible to eat it, the rider himself thought it was correct not to charge for this "pizza" which he brought back. You eat it, dear owner! This was followed by a phone call from her which I couldn't answer because she was busy preparing something else for dinner, and shortly after the rider returns to get the money for a horrible pizza which she also got back!! He should be ashamed! I have read the other reviews and I confirm that kindness and education do not belong to you. Good luck... the road to your professional and personal improvement is very long! I'm closing!

27/12/2023: Terrible products, service arrived two hours late, they forget to even bring the food that they made me pay for, I call them back twice and finally at one in the morning the tray of chips, crepes and wraps arrives, unwatchable not to mention the pizza , all my friends felt sick, strong stomach ache to vomiting, needless to say it's better not to take anything, thank you never again

01/11/2023: Posto delizioso si piedi della chiesa di San Giovanni. Dispone di una terrazza adatta sia al pranzo che alla cena. Forno a legna interno. Pizza e panini molto buoni prezzi decisamente alla portata
