20/12/2024: It's definitely my favorite place. Everything was fantastic, from the starter to the dessert. Seasonal dishes studied in detail, excellent flavor combinations. Last night the velvety soup and pumpkin mousse were incredible. Really very good. The service is no exception, always highly prepared but also friendly and nice to customers. Top. I always come back, for me it feels like home. See you next Saturday 😜

30/08/2024: Due nuclei familiari composti da 5 adulti e 3 bambini. decidono di prenotare in questa trattoria poco fuori Modica. Il solo fatto che abbia dovuto prenotare cinque giorni in anticipo mi ha messo un minimo di tensione: mi aspettavo il locale. fighetto, pretenzioso, algido. Nulla di tutto questo! Abbiamo preso quattro antipasti sette primi e un secondo. Tutto straordinariamente buono, seppur semplice. la gentilezza del proprietario è stata eccezionale nell'accontentare le bambine presenti e nel rispondere alle nostre innumerevoli domande. La mia pasta con i ceci era semplicemente straordinaria come la pasta con mollica e salsiccia e come le tagliatelle al ragù che hanno preso le bambine. Vino con un ricarico onesto, liquori offerti e un cannolo molto buono. Una vera chicca.

29/08/2024: It was our first night here in Munich. We found the place to be close to our hotel, and I'm so glad we did. It was the best Italian meal I've had in years. The food was superb, the inside of the place was super charming, and the service was impeccable. The owner was a very charming man who made us feel like family. We will definitely be going back before returning to the States.

04/12/2024: One of the fastest pizzerias in Modica also thanks to the presence of 2 ovens. I remember the impeccable management during the Covid period. Very attentive to customers. Prices higher than average but all in all normal.

28/08/2024: Location carina, arredo interno molto bello e di design. Eravamo un gruppo di 10 persone abbiamo ordinato un mix di antipastini fritti tra cui le panelle ( ben fatte) e il baccalà in pastella ottimo, ottime le pizze napoletane con bordo alto e i dolci tra cui la i bocconcini di pizza dolce fritta alla nutella e il babà di San Gennaro…una prelibatezza… prezzi nella media

05/08/2024: Tijdens ons verblijf in het hotel vlak naast dit restaurant (ook een aanrader!) dineerden we 2 keer bij Lorenzo Ruta. Er was een groot verschil tussen beide ervaringen. De eerste keer kozen we de 6-gangen degustatiemenu. De menu kondigde het zelf al aan: "Niets is wat het lijkt" en "Elk gerecht is onverwacht en oprecht", en daar is helemaal niets van gelogen. Ook de geserveerde aangepaste (Siciliaanse) wijnen waren top! Bij ons tweede bezoek kozen we voor de 'Tradizione' 4-gangen menu. Hier wordt aangekondigd dat dit menu het verhaal van Modica (de stad vlakbij) aan de hand van locale gerechten vertelt. Dit was ook wel lekker, maar minder naar onze smaak. Wat ons betrof kwam dit niet tot aan de enkels van onze eerste ervaring. Anderzijds kan over smaken en kleuren kan niet gediscussieerd worden. De bijgeschonken wijnen waren wel weer voortreffelijk! Het restaurant en het terras zijn zeer mooi en modern. Het personeel is vriendelijk (al zagen wij dat ze hun frustratie over een andere aanwezige en blijkbaar veeleisende klant niet konden verbergen), maar een groot gebrek is wel de kennis van het Engels (of een andere taal buiten het Italiaans).

13/06/2024: Un esperienza unica, non si può parlare di una cena ma piuttosto di un percorso di sapori inaspettati, ingredienti di altissima qualità lavorati con maestria. Locale molto curato, servizio eccellente, gentilezza simpatia e professionalità.

28/09/2024: Absolutely stunning dinner last night with my wife. We had a shorter version of a tasting menu and really should have gone with the longer one, since every dish was so beautiful, creative, thoughtful and delicious. Service was just as fantastic as well, our server recommended a phenomenal wine that we absolutely fall in loved with and would never discover otherwise. You should definitely go and eat here. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was absolutely one of our favorite meals we had in Sicily.

10/09/2024: Amazing food, lovely ambiance and great service. This is a fine dining restaurant working with fresh local ingredients. They even make the limoncello with the lemons they grow! The pasta with bottarga and teh rissotto with prawns were incredible, the Olive Oil they served with bread is the best that I think I will ever try. I would order mostly pasta dishes as opposed to their standalone fresh fish just because the pasta plates are a true standout. Recommended 200%

Locale semplice nelle campagne di Modica dove abbiamo finalmente assaporato la cucina tradizionale del posto e non le solite cose da turisti 👏 bravi non cambiate nulla !

01/12/2024: Saturday evening with a group of friends we go to eat a pizza we have been customers for years, UNFORTUNATELY yesterday we were treated very badly by a waiter when we arrived and to top it all after we also ate the dessert and ordered the bitter he told us to leave the table in one way......instead of being able to relax and spend a couple of hours with friends we are just stressed out we don't come anymore that's for sure some people's pizza was also burnt too bad it was our favorite place

21/11/2024: Disastrous evening. With only 3 tables to serve they made a disaster. An appetizer with three ingredients and they forget one and then a salmon fillet full of bones. Furthermore, at the end of dinner I was asked if I wanted the bill at the table. I don't think it's the waiter who should ask the customer if he wants the bill but the customer should ask for it. In practice they literally sent us away.

20/08/2024: Right in front of the Modica Cathedral, with outdoor tables, a truly pleasant small bistro, attentive service, excellent dishes both in flavor and presentation. Fast service (we also took advantage of the fork booking with a discount). Highly recommended!!!!

11/12/2024: An excellent family run bar serving everything from coffee, pastries and local Sicilian specialities (all home cooked every day), huge selection of beers and spirits and the best gelati around! Not forgetting their own Modican chocolate. Bellissimo!!

01/10/2024: Da qualche anno, ogni estate il ritorno a Marina di Modica è reso più lieto dal Bar Nino e Salvatore. L'accoglienza è sempre calorosa ed educata, la colazione ottima ed il gelato spettacolare (provate i gusti pistacchiosa con cannella o cassata). Insomma quando la qualità si sposa con la gentilezza è sempre un connubio vincente. Ci rivedremo l'estate prossima. Un caro saluto anche alla signora gentilissima.

08/07/2024: There is no Modican who doesn't know their specialities, for many years a point of reference for kids and not only, for all lovers of real rotisserie, when you enter you no longer want to leave the place: pizzas, focaccias, pastieri, arancini and much more, all following the Modican tradition. When I go to Modica it becomes my obligatory stop, stop by, you won't regret it. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

12/10/2024: God Siciliansk frokost med skinke, pølser og ost til forret og henholdvis. spagetti med muslinger og carbonada som primi platti og tiramisu og espresso til dessert. Alt velsmagende - særligt tiramisu, hvor mascarpone havde lidt mere ostesmag.

12/10/2024: Ristorante scelto un po' casualmente passeggiando per modica... Che dire?! Abbiamo preso due antipasti: polpette di melanzane super consigliate!, e fiori di zucca ripieno molto buono ma, gusto personale, avrei preferito la "pastella" esterna leggermente piu sottile ma nel complesso buoni anche loro! Due primi (linguine con pesto di pistacchio e guanciale davvero OTTIMI, ravioli di ricotta con datterini.. piatto un po piu semplice ma davvero ottime materie prime. Dolce: provate ASSOLUTAMENTE il cannolo scomposto.. mai mangiato cosi buono! Una delizia! Complimenti! Insomma, ristorante super stra consigliato!!! Per di piu personale veramente gentile, ci siamo fatte dare un po di indicazioni per vedere al meglio la città e la ragazza è stata veramente disponibile e ha saputo indicarci dei posti davvero belli!!
