05/05/2024: We went to Anime and Core, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to our expectations. The main problem was the waiting time: between the starter and the first course we waited more than 45 minutes. We don't know if there were any problems in the kitchen that evening, but the service was decidedly slow. We had asked for information on the rustic appetizer and the explanation we were given was rather vague: "it contains various typical things and then cured meats and cheeses". In the end we were served a plate with eight mini portions, which at 15 euros seemed excessive for the quantity and variety offered. The only dish that really impressed us was the roasted octopus on potato cream, which at 18 euros was perhaps a little expensive but of good quality (at least this one, recommended). As for the first courses, the portions were generous, but the flavor didn't impress us. The overall price seemed high compared to the quality/quantity of the food and the service received. We reported our disappointment regarding the starter and the response we got was unprofessional: "well, what do you want, it's a dish". We did not persist with further disappointments precisely to avoid other obvious answers. We probably weren't lucky, but our experience was disappointing. Let's hope it was just a "bad day" for the restaurant, but for the moment I don't feel like recommending it.

06/04/2024: fresh salad, very good pizza, the lemon mousse is a dream, the service is very accommodating and the atmosphere is modern but welcoming, highly recommended.

07/04/2024: Best restaurant of our trip to Sicily! Very authentic, friendly, inexpensive and, above all, super tasty. If it's not on the menu, be sure to ask for pasta. We got a pasta with asparagus, tomatoes and ricotta, which was delicious.

You won't regret it....a very small place, with the dish of the day (we had fresh pasta with ricotta and broad beans - a delight -) and some salads, sandwiches and platters. Excellent products, the owner transmits his passion for cooking to you. Definitely a place with a soul!

04/03/2024: Caltagirone is the city of the famous ceramics or staircase of Santa Maria del Monte. We stumbled upon this bar by chance one evening. Given the time they offered us an aperitif. The service was fast and efficient. They brought us lots of things, a huge aperitif and everything was very good. If you're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by. Excellent value for money .

21/04/2024: Even though it was a Saturday, the waiting times were average. Soft pizza with excellent ingredients, friendly and courteous staff. They gave us a nice dessert at the end of the dinner. Certainly recommended
