01/07/2025: The hotel is definitely not a 5-star hotel. It lacks in several areas. The rooms are very small, and the location is isolated. Therefore, a car is highly recommended. The beach is small and not very attractive. While breakfast offers a good selection, the orange juice must be ordered separately. The quality is questionable in some areas (the ham was bland...). The evening meal is good but VERY expensive. For example, two small spoonfuls of ice cream cost €10. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is very nice and well-maintained. There is NO disinfectant or cleaning products in the gym. Accordingly, you are confronted with unhygienic equipment. Additionally, the lights turn off automatically when you're on the treadmill, for example. This can quickly become dangerous. It's also not air-conditioned because it's located in a passageway.

30/06/2025: An oasis of peace, small-scale 5-star hotel. One drawback (the hotel can't do much about it). You prefer to eat inside because of the many wasps.🐝 But otherwise, an ideal spot with a (not part of the hotel) beach bar and boat rental. On the premises itself a swimming pool with life guard and more than enough space and sunbeds. Just enough parking space at the hotel. A surprise upon arrival, a voucher for a nice massage in the Spa. Tip, do rent a car, there is not much (nothing) to do in Conca Verde, but the places nearby 15-20 minutes drive are cozy and pleasantly busy. From Palau you can easily book a boat tour of the Maddalena archipelago. Food and drink in the hotel is very good, but also choose the local restaurants, here too you can dine excellently.

12/04/2026: Il Baretto is located in the main square of Santa Teresa Gallura and is a truly pleasant place to stop for a drink or a snack. Outdoor tables and sofas are perfect for enjoying the atmosphere of the square. The cocktail menu is extensive and top-notch: impeccably prepared, among the best I've ever tasted. The food is also excellent, with gourmet sandwiches made with quality ingredients. Service is quick and efficient, with minimal wait times. The staff is always friendly, professional, and attentive to their customers—one of the restaurant's true strengths. Special thanks to the owner, Aldo, who is always helpful and welcoming. Prices are in line with Sardinian fare, but absolutely justified by the quality offered. A place definitely worth a visit, highly recommended!

14/05/2026: We were there for the first time today and were very impressed. It's a shame we only discovered it on the last day. Beautiful location with a sea view, and the man who served us was super friendly.

10/06/2026: Pros First course: Seafood salad, Catalan-style octopus, spaghetti with clams. Second course: Seafood sauté, sorbet, and seada (and what a seada, guys). Everything was exceptional. Cons The restaurant isn't well-regarded, a real shame for a fishmonger's restaurant. Highly recommended compared to other renowned restaurants.

A Family Soul and a History You Can Breathe Founded between the late 1950s and early 1960s by Giuseppe "Peppino" Murru (lighthouse keeper and fisherman) and his wife Caterina "Rina," this place is a rare example of pioneering fishing tourism. Today, it's still run by the family with the same passion as ever: the fish arrives directly from their boats, the shellfish live in seawater tanks until they're brought to the table. No refrigerated trucks, no middlemen. Just the sea, every day. The atmosphere is that of a large family welcoming you into their home: sincere smiles, tables set with care but without excess, a slow, human pace that makes you feel immediately at ease. The Restaurant: When the Sea Comes to the Plate. The dining room, with its large windows overlooking the blue Strait of Messina, is the perfect place to be captivated. The menu changes daily based on the catch: there's no fixed menu, just what the sea has provided that morning. Generous portions, clean and sincere preparations. If you ask the waiter for a "structural" change to your dish, they'll make it for you. They'll bring them to you that way. - Would you like the lobster or the fish already shelled and completely deboned, ready to enjoy with ease? Just say so: the kitchen prepares it to order. It's not written anywhere, it's not an "official" service, it's simply the genuine helpfulness of a family that wants to make you feel good. A small, great luxury that transforms an excellent dinner into a bespoke experience, as if you were a long-time guest. Final Verdict The Albergo Ristorante Bocche di Bonifacio is not a Michelin-starred restaurant with dim lighting and magazine-worthy table settings. It is something much rarer and more precious: a place where nature is the protagonist, the fish is the freshest, and the people treat you like family. If you're looking for authenticity, breathtaking views, top-quality seafood, and unpretentious hospitality, this is your place. Highly recommended. And when you return, feel free to ask for a change... they understand immediately. I will be back. And I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the real Sardinia.
