07/01/2025: We had dinner in this restaurant after visiting the beautiful village of Acaya, a welcoming environment with a fireplace which on a January evening, even if not very cold, warms the body and mind, we ate a good seafood salad and octopus in pignata , exquisite, a first course with aubergines and sausage, the second course horse meat that melted in the mouth and some fried foods including the typical Salento breasts, all washed down with a good Susumaniello

15/12/2024: Immancabile, unico. Abbiamo scoperto per caso l’osteria perfetta a Strudà in provincia di Lecce, lo scorso giugno. Il cibo parla solo di cose buone, l’atmosfera è super accogliente, locale. Il menu ti racconta solo bontà e bellezza autentica, senza ma e senza se. Si trova in una piazzetta che declina i canoni salentini al 100%. Noi abbiamo cenato, la prima volta durante il passaggio di una processione. E’ stato un po’ come assistere ad una rappresentazione, e, con il dovuto rispetto per la celebrazione, questo è stato per noi singolare e memorabile. Il “ Salentoshire ”, ormai si sa in tutto il mondo, è una meta unica e speciale. L’osteria “La Chiacchieretta ” lo incarna. Si trova in una piazzetta raccolta che ti delizia con cosi tanta bellezza che ti resta negli occhi. Il nome del locale: “La Chiacchieretta ” è il manifesto della “mission” di questo locale così semplicemente “unico”. Ed è l’anima di Maria Grazia che rende possibile questa emozione. Lei è una signora così simpatica. Molto indaffarata, che ti regala con entusiasmo istantanee della la sua narrazione: fra un servizio al tavolo e un’occhiata vigile alla sua cucina, e rende tutto così interessante e bello. E tu diventi parte di questa bellezza che ti circonda insieme al gusto delle cose buonissime che assapori Così la tua cena è un amichevole convivio che ti conquista e ti fa solo venire voglia di tornare e tornare. 06/01/2025: An unforgettable experience at Locanda York I had the pleasure of discovering Locanda York, a new opening in Pisagnano, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. The place is simply wonderful: a perfect mix of elegance and warmth, with refined furnishings and details that make the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing. The real magic, however, lies in the staff. From the first moment I was welcomed with a smile and professionalism that is rarely found. Each team member is attentive, friendly and passionate in their work. They were helpful in recommending dishes and making sure everything was perfect during dinner. The cuisine, then, is the real flagship of the Locanda York. The menu offers dishes that celebrate local flavors with a touch of creativity. I tried an appetizer that combined flavors and textures in a sublime way, a simply delicious fresh pasta first course and a dessert that closed the evening in a perfect way. Each dish is prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, and you can see the passion behind every detail. Locanda York is much more than a simple restaurant: it is a place where food becomes an experience, where you feel welcomed like family, but with a service worthy of special occasions. It's rare to find a place that balances quality, atmosphere and hospitality so well. If you are near Pisagnano, you cannot miss a visit to Locanda York. I'm sure you will fall in love with this place just like I did!

03/12/2024: Excellent pastry and ice cream shop. Also delicious tea biscuits and artisan chocolates. Try the quince jelly, copeta and dried figs. Super cream puffs and cakes. The rotisserie and fried foods are also good. Great for birthday catering. Friendly staff

04/12/2024: Ho avuto il piacere di pranzare presso Masseria Caronte e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza davvero eccezionale. Il locale è accogliente e ben arredato, con del personale estremamente professionale e cordiale. La qualità del cibo straordinaria. Consiglio questo ristorante!! Eccellente.

05/01/2025: The ancient inn is located on the outskirts of Vernole whose location takes you back in time. I spent New Year's Eve with my family and had a decent dinner and overall the service was quite quick. The starter was very small while the first course whose medallions stuffed with burrata and fish were very welcome. The sea bream was a little less pleasant than the panettone. However I recommend it.

24/10/2024: Locale vecchio stile, molto carino e accogliente, pulito. Staff cordialissimo e gentilissimo. Tempi di attesa brevi e qualità-prezzo accettabile. Peccato però che ci sia arrivata una pizza bianca anziché col pomodoro, nonostante sul menù fosse indicata, appunto, con l'ingrediente del pomodoro. Quindi prima di ordinare, appurate che i vostri piatti contengano realmente gli ingredienti indicati sul menù.

14/12/2024: un posto dell'anima, dove puoi in santa pace gustare un ottimo pranzo davanti al caminetto e sentirti a casa; nulla da dire in ordine alla location un pò lontana dall'abitato della frazione di ACAYA ; personale gentile e preparato, tanto discreto quanto condiscendente in uno: professionale. Piatti molto buoni con alcuni picchi di eccellenza "il cuore di vitello" sicuramente con le nostre rape, un piatto che valorizza quinto quarto e territorio, l'agnello con l'insalata di finocchi super. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente per assaggiare altre proposte di questo locale che cambia menu in base alla stagione. Non diamo il massimo solo per il primo ai funghi che avremmo preferito fossero tutti cardoncelli ma nulla da eccepire solo una questione di gusto personale.

Each dish is prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, carefully chosen by the Chef to enhance its flavor and presentation. Smell and taste, therefore, but also touch, hearing and, above all, sight, because at Don Fausto food and art chase each other and then embrace each other. The flavours, colors and materials intertwine like brushstrokes on the living canvas. The Chef is an all-round artist and, as we know, art, like food, nourishes the soul, tells ancient stories and suggests dreamlike visions. Each dish is a composition, an ephemeral work that lives in the moment of its tasting, while each work of art hanging on the walls becomes a banquet for the spirit, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
