07/10/2025: Great seafood pasta. Everything is fresh and delicious. The place is in a covered area with a view of the city. The place is simple, but the food and cuisine are excellent.

07/10/2025: I ordered spaghetti with clams and received a clear demonstration of basic incompetence in the kitchen. It wasn't a sauce, it wasn't a broth: it was overcooked pasta drowned in tasteless boiling water. The oil, garlic, and especially the creaminess of the dish were completely absent. The result was a watered-down pasta dish devoid of any flavor other than the cooking water. A "pasta with clams" where the clams were just a sad decoration. Furthermore, the raw seafood was clearly dirty and uncleaned, with intestinal debris not removed. Serving raw fish in these conditions is not only disgusting, but also puts the customer's health at risk. A complete lack of professionalism and attention to health standards. It's an insult to Italian cuisine and the very concept of catering. If this is the level, the only solution is for them to change jobs!

28/09/2025: The food here was good and portions generous. We came for the orecchiette which we had with fresh sliced tomatoes and freshly grated cheese. We asked for tomato sauce on the side which they kindly provided - it was standard sauce, not too flavourful. The Caesar salad was okay; it came with bottled commercial yoghurt dressing or oil and vinegar. Polpetta (fried meatballs) and arancini (rice balls) were tasty. Server was efficient. There was a per person service charge added to the bill (fairly standard at most places here). Their outdoor patio is dog friendly.

31/08/2025: A very disappointing experience. Despite having a reservation, my table was assigned after over an hour of waiting. I ordered a 50cl bottle of beer as listed on the menu (€6), but was served a 33cl bottle. I immediately pointed out the error to the waiter, who replied that they only have the 33cl version, even though the menu listed the 50cl version. When it came time to get the bill, however, I was charged for two 50cl beers at €6 each. I reported the error to the cashier, but the only response was, "I'll report it to the owner," without any correction. In effect, I paid €6 for a 33cl Peroni Gran Riserva, with a clear mismatch between what was on the menu, what was served, and what was charged.

25/08/2025: The best pizza we've had in Ostuni is theirs. The food is also of excellent quality. The service is excellent, and it was a pleasure dining there.

Camping where you are in contact with nature, the mobile homes are all very clean and well-kept with air conditioning. Excellent beach and pool service. All the staff is always attentive to the customer's needs...

27/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo posto sabato 26, attratti dalle recensioni e della menzione Michelin. Premetto che non è il primo ristorante che ha la menzione Michelin, ma non capisco davvero le ragioni a questo punto. Il posto di per sé è carino, nulla da dire! Il problema è tutto il resto... L'offerta prevede dei menù degustazioni e la scelta di piatti "à la carte". Abbiamo preso due secondi di carne ( che a questo punto mi sembra di capire che non sia il loro punto di forza), che non avevano nulla di gustoso, nulla. Ho preso una guancia di manzo che praticamente è arrivata già tiepida e una tomahawk di vitello che era inguardabile nella cottura ed era coperta da una simil patatina che doveva avere un sapore di nocciola, ma non si percepiva nulla, accompagnato da scaglie di tartufo ( anche quello senza sapore). Non è la prima volta che andiamo in un ristorante che ha la menzione, né tantomeno la prima volta che mangiamo di a tomahawk. L'entree di benvenuto erano dei tarallini e dei grissini, neanche poi così tanto freschi. Abbiamo preso 2 calici di vino, perché anche i prezzi delle bottiglie erano assolutamente sproporzionati. Capisco che i prezzi siano leggermente lievitati giustificati da una menzione "Michelin", si è consapevoli, ma non accetto di aver scelto e evitato i posti più turistici per mangiare qualcosa che non ha nulla di eccezionale e che non giustifica assolutamente la menzione. 2 secondi di carne e 2 calici = 77 € Prima ed ultima volta!

10/10/2025: This restaurant is located in the center of Ostuni, just steps from Piazza Sant'Oronzo. There are both outdoor and indoor tables at street level, as well as a small room on the mezzanine. We tried both the traditional dish of fresh orecchiette with meatball sauce and braciola with cacioricotta, both delicious, and a pizza "Città Bianca" with spicy salami, also very good. This is a typical restaurant with various traditional items, such as the Apulian "pumo" (good luck charm), available in many variations. The wine list is good, and water is on tap. Good value for money. Recommended! Anyone who says otherwise is absolutely lying!

30/09/2025: Our worst Ostuni dining experience due to the host. We waited 40 minutes for a patio table as the place had come so highly recommended. The server assured the group of young ladies behind us that he’d seat them asap, which he did, even though they’d arrived after our family and admitted that they, like us, didn’t have a reservation. The salad was simply lettuce with a few sliced tomatoes. The bag of bread was standard. The orecchiette with tomato sauce and the pizza were okay. The young man bussing the tables was very nice and friendly, but our experience with the gentleman server giving preferential treatment was certainly off putting and unpleasant.

09/07/2025: Yet another highly overrated restaurant on TripAdvisor! We were four for dinner and did the wine pairing along with the tasting menu. The food overall is mediocre at best. Some dishes like the chicory (which i normally love) were tasteless and blah. No dish rose to the level of delicious. The wines were fine. You get three glasses across eight courses. A white, a rose, and a red. All serviceable but not outstanding. The service on the other hand is weird. Very disorganized. Sometimes rude. We reserved a table some weeks in advance and confirmed via email the day before. We were told dinner service starts at 8:30. We arrived at 8:30 to find the tables mostly all full with diners well into their meals. There was no host to greet us and we stood awkwardly in the courtyard waiting to be helped. When we could finally get someone’s attention, a waiter came over and searched for our name but couldn’t find it. When we paid the bill later that night we were informed the reservation was under BOTH my last name AND my wife’s (different) last name - but when trying to get seated, I provided my name and we were told that they could not find our reservation. After we finally asked whether the reservation was under my wife’s name, the waiter saw that this name was on the list, and we got a surly, “so it’s your mistake!” We also stated on several occasions that one of our family has an allergy and this was confirmed twice via email. Yet upon sitting, the server was taken by surprise by this request and needed to go talk with the kitchen. The rest of the meal was a rushed series of mediocre dishes and wine. In food and service, this restaurant does not rise to the level of excellent. The food is only mediocre and the service is disorganized and often rude.

09/07/2025: siamo ritornati al Frantoio certi di trascorrere giorni meravigliosi, e così è stato! Un posto magico, ricco di storia e di dettagli in ogni angolo. Il personale sempre cortese e professionale attento alle esigenze degli ospiti e pronti ad accogliere le loro richieste. Le camere ben curate e spaziose e curate in ogni particolare. Posizione comodissima vicina a qualsiasi bella località si voglia visitare e poi, al ritorno, una comoda piscina aspetta gli ospiti che vogliono rinfrescarsi all'ombra dei meravigliosi ulivi o con un gustoso cocktail. Piante, giardino ovunque, pavoni, ulivi secolari. Insomma, un posto magico che è diventato posto del cuore

14/06/2025: Nuestra primera noche en Ostuni después de conducir 6 horas para llegar allí. Elegimos este lugar porque estaba cerca de nuestro apartamento. El aperitivo de queso estaba delicioso. El plato principal con berenjena no era bueno en absoluto.

03/07/2025: The octopus sandwich wasn't great, but it was okay (according to their own advertising, it's the best sandwich in town). €4 for a small bottle of beer, on the other hand, is a rip-off - better to ask about the prices beforehand. Missed opportunity, we won't be going there again.
