16/05/2026: The place is truly beautiful, well-maintained, and beautifully presented, which is why we chose to come here. I had booked specifying that three of the four people were celiac, after asking if gluten-free options were available and receiving confirmation.
Once we arrived, we had to remind ourselves of this several times, but gradually we discovered that many dishes were unsuitable, including some appetizers ordered and delivered without proper attention to the situation. After reiterating this several times, we realized that many of the dishes were unsuitable.
Being celiac isn't a choice, and those who are celiac often feel uncomfortable when dining out, because they don't always feel completely comfortable having to constantly ask for information or special requests. For this very reason, when a restaurant confirms the availability of gluten-free options, we expect greater preparation and attention. It's a shame, because the location truly deserves it.

01/05/2026: We tried sitting down and my boyfriend decided to go to the bathroom. While my friend and I were waiting, one of the waiters came and took our menus. I guess they decided we were not going to eat there. We just decided to leave seeing as these people obviously didn’t want us to stay. While walking away one of the waiters started shouting at us saying we should have just said we wanted to use the bathroom and not waste their time. We tried explaining but he just said GO!
Never have I ever seen this sort of behaviour in the food industry.

07/05/2026: The appetizers were generous. We had pizza and pasta, which were very fresh and delicious. Anthonio speaks a little French, which made it easier to get menu recommendations. The friendliness, service, and welcome were all excellent. We had a wonderful time!
03/05/2026: I visited Alta Marea Lab in Villanova (Ostuni) and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
I ordered an Angus tagliata, expecting the classic preparation: a whole cut of Angus beef cooked properly and sliced into even pieces. Instead, it was served as small, irregular strips, more like “straccetti,” with no proper presentation and not representative of what a tagliata should be. Having traveled extensively, this is the first time I’ve seen it served this way.
Overall, disappointing. The ingredients may have potential, but they are not handled or presented with the care you would expect.

From the outside you don’t understand if the place is open or not (you enter from the kitchen basically so it looks like a service door), and the owner hardly gives you directions with an empty place! “There’s the menu” she told, us pointing at a billboard across the street (are you kicking us away? 🤔)

02/06/2026: Generous portions, appreciable house appetizers. First courses should be avoided, even though the portions are generous, but they are poor quality and flavorless. Hospital-style food doesn't match the menu at all. Prices are normal. The kitchen has a lot to improve. The service is decent. The pizzeria was rejected at 9:30 on a Sunday, they ran out of dough. The wine list is shown, but not all of them are available. In the end, the waiter decides.
