10/06/2026: In the heart of the ancient city of Bitritto, we discovered a hidden gem. La Campagnola is a pizzeria located inside a former 17th-century olive oil mill. The location features ancient stone walls that lend the experience a relaxing atmosphere. The service from the entire staff is simply exceptional. The quality of the products is superb; I recommend the Slow Food cheese board and the Cinta Sienese pizza. Pizza chef Cosimo is a master of leavened products and will be able to recommend the best dishes for you, as will the entire staff. A fantastic experience; we will definitely be back.

10/06/2026: La Campagnola restaurant and pizzeria in the Bari hinterland, in the center of Bitritto, offers a balanced menu of typical local and regional specialties. The generous appetizers and welcoming atmosphere pay homage to the old 17th-century olive oil mill, which has been perfectly transformed into a refined, clean restaurant. Last but not least, a special thanks goes to the Bitonto prodigy, Cosimo, who gave us the opportunity to discover his world and his well-cooked, flavorful, and very light pizzas. I'll conclude by saying that the next time we pass through Bitritto, we'll definitely come to La Campagnola. And, as I always say, enjoy!

21/07/2026: We arrived at this pizzeria around 9 pm and immediately noticed the outdoor seating was unavailable, allegedly due to a "whirlwind" that had occurred shortly before. We sat inside, expecting to find air conditioning...but instead...we found a tropicalized dining room!!! Three air conditioners on...in what mode? Dehumidifier? Survival?? We couldn't even read the temperature on the display! The heat ruined our entire dinner. We asked for the menus and were told QR codes were available. They don't have paper menus. Be careful with the "antipasto del casale": the menu doesn't specify a minimum order for two people, and this isn't the first restaurant in Bitritto to use this deceptive formula! Normally, the menu should specify a minimum order for two people! As he lifted his napkin to start dinner, my husband found some dust on his plate... probably from the tornado. I'm giving two stars, not one, for the pizza, which was really good, and for the lady at the cashier, the only one who was kind and smiling.

13/07/2026: We had an incredibly delicious meal at Al Casale di Bitritto. We started with several delicious pastas as a starter, including the famous typical Barise pasta all’assassina. Highly recommended if you want to discover the local cuisine. For the main course, I chose a sirloin steak, and it was surprisingly tasty. At just €12, the value for money was truly excellent. Don't expect trendy or modern cuisine here, but rather authentic, traditional dishes prepared with care. And that is exactly what makes this place so special. A warm, cozy restaurant where you taste the true flavors of Puglia. We will gladly return again!

08/08/2026: Even though it was late, they welcomed us very kindly. I think this is very important for a business catering to the public. Excellent value for money. The pizzas were very good. We couldn't try anything else because the kitchen was closed. We'll definitely be back to try a good first and second course. 😉

05/08/2026: I dined at Petit Roi in Bitritto on Saturday evening, and my first impression was truly positive. The restaurant is new, modern, beautiful, and well-air-conditioned. The spaces are spacious, both inside and out, the seating is comfortable, and even when the restaurant is full, the noise level is still sufficient to allow for a peaceful conversation with those at the table. The owner welcomed us with a warm smile, despite it being a very busy evening, and all the staff were young, friendly, and courteous. The bathrooms are also new and well-maintained. It was very pleasant to see the refrigerators well-stocked with drinks and desserts. The bill was also moderately low, and I also appreciated the small discount the owner gave me. The only truly negative note was the vegetarian pizza. The menu described it as having a Margherita base, cherry tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, fresh mushrooms, and eggplant. However, it arrived without cherry tomatoes, peppers, or the pepper I had specifically requested. When I asked for an explanation, the first waitress simply acknowledged the complaint, while the second told me that the peppers weren't included. If that's the case, it would be appropriate to update the menu description or notify the customer beforehand. It was a shame, because this oversight ruined what had been a very positive experience up until that point. Despite this, the restaurant deserves a second chance. Next time, however, if a similar situation were to arise again, I'd send the pizza back.
