02/02/2025: We went to the Usignolo Restaurant, located in Viggiona (VB). From the first reviews and photos it immediately attracted us, and we were not disappointed at all. As soon as you arrive you can admire a breathtaking view of the entire lake, while the interior is modern and very classic. The spaces are large and the arrangement of the tables is very beautiful and functional. The restaurant is very bright due to the large windows, which give the possibility of admiring the view even from inside. As an appetizer I ordered an encore of Piedmontese Fassona tartare and salmon. Truly exceptional dish, the meat and fish were really fresh and their quality was very high. A very, very good dish and highly recommended. As a second course I ordered spaghetti with seafood. This dish was also really delicious, here too you could feel the quality of the products and their freshness. A small negative note is the fact that the pasta was a little too salty. The service is normal, the staff is very friendly and quite fast. Sometimes we waited a moment longer but it was certainly due to the large turnout. Furthermore, a positive note is the parking spaces, although the restaurant is located on a hill it has plenty of them available. A truly delicious and highly recommended restaurant, go there as soon as you have the chance!

16/11/2024: We had the great pleasure of eating at Ristorante Usignolo above Cannero Riviera and it was an experience that we will remember for a long time. Even the journey along the winding roads with a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore was impressive, but when we finally sat down on the terrace, we were simply thrilled. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains, especially at sunset, was simply breathtaking. The menu immediately impressed us – a perfect mix of regional specialties and Italian tradition. The fresh fish dishes and homemade pasta in particular were an absolute highlight. You can immediately tell that they cook here with the best ingredients and a lot of love. Every dish we tried was thought out down to the last detail and incredibly tasty. The service was as warm as it was attentive. We immediately felt welcome and the team's recommendations - be it for the food or the wine pairing - were excellent. Everything was served with a smile and we had the impression that every guest was truly valued here. The atmosphere was simply indescribable. The combination of excellent food, warm service and this incredible view made the evening very special. It felt like a getaway for the soul. We can only warmly recommend Ristorante Usignolo. If you're in the area, you should definitely reserve a table - especially on the terrace. This restaurant impressed us not only culinary but also emotionally, and we will definitely come back.

29/10/2024: Wir waren in diesem Restaurant am Abend mit Reservierung. Chef freundlich, Serviertochter unfreundlich und kurz angebunden. Coperto 3 Euro pro Person für ein bisschen Brot! Die Pizza war ok, Weinauswahl ok, bei den restlichen Speisen kleine Portionen. Die Preise sind eher hoch. Wir gehen sicher nicht mehr dorthin.

30/12/2024: I was in Cana at the weekend, good service, nice place, average food even a little subdued compared to what I expected. Let me start by saying that on the weekend it is MANDATORY to take two dishes each, so even if you are not hungry and one dish is enough you are obliged to eat!!! Good seafood appetizers, although nothing exceptional, the first ones left a lot to laugh about. I often go out for dinner and for the price paid (€300) I expected something exceptional, but instead everything was mediocre and no more. I was disappointed because I was expecting excellent, high-level cuisine. I took spaghetti with scampi, but the flavor didn't blend well, it was as if the spaghetti had been thrown on top of the sauce with scampi and mixed. I'm really sorry because being a restaurant that only deals with fish I thought it would be really good, but no!!!

08/10/2024: After a long journey, we arrived at our holiday destination on September 15th and took a seat on the terrace in a positive mood. When ordering a Weizen beer, the gentleman who came to take it was very unfriendly. He clearly wasn't waiting for us. The food was also not very good (despite hearing positive reviews). In our opinion, definitely not recommended.

04/10/2024: The pizza is really excellent, one of the best I've ever eaten. We have been here several times and the meat and fish dishes also taste good. I cannot understand the many negative reviews regarding the service. On the contrary, I find the waiter super personable and funny. Maybe some people just don't understand his sense of humor.
