They tell you they don’t have normal beer so you buy the most expensive alcohol. They serve the normal drinks to the people who go to eat.

13/08/2024: I went by today with the kayak and I saw that in the garage attached to your restaurant there is a small outboard motor half sunk almost submerged in the water... I wanted to tell you but I couldn't find anyone in the place.
Anyway your place is very nice.

31/07/2024: Pizza and calzone to die for, service good and all very reasonably priced. We would go back if it was not for the mosquitos. We were plagued with them, even though inside and rushed our food and ran. That part of the lake does seem to have a mosquito problem at the moment.

03/09/2024: Pizza beautiful to look at, but very watery, tasteless and raw inside.
The overcooked chips were hard to chew, as was the fried fish.
The service was not very organised.
02/09/2024: Quiet environment, dishes not comparable to the prices, which in my opinion are too high, service a little slow and listening to customers not very receptive.

Una pausa con i caffè provenienti da tutto il mondo, biscottini e assaggi di liquori.
Accoglienza stupenda, è sempre un piacere parlare con il proprietario.
Consigliatissimo!
03/08/2024: Locale semplice e particolarissimo nello stesso tempo, per arredi, atmosfera e cortesia. Il caffè non viene solo "consegnato" ma ben descritto e illustrato, dall'origine alla torrefazione, con ampia possibilità di scelta. Piacevolissima chiacchierata con il team in merito alle caratteristiche, proprietà e provenienze dei vari tipi di caffè (acquistabili anche in grani per asporto). Servizio corredato di biscottini e vari assaggi di amari e liquori per un'esperienza sensoriale unica.

10/08/2024: We had to wait a long time before we were finally helped, it was expensive and the food was cold and not yet cooked. And 1 of the children now has food poisoning.... once and never again
10/08/2024: Eating was hell, drinks were hell, service was nothing 3 times, they were doing nothing and we still hadn't ordered anything. The prices are through the roof for food that is not edible at all, in short, not recommended, I also got food poisoning so definitely not recommended

06/08/2024: Great setting, both inside as outside. Menus inspiring but a bit confusing as different at lunch and dinner - with a rather - too - limited choice at dinner. Quality of food very good and presentation very good but somehow erratic .. as for example filet steaks were of different from one guest to another ..good wine card. Very kind service.
06/08/2024: We made a reservation for my daughter's birthday 10 days in advance, both by phone and by e-mail. However, when we went, they could not see the reservation and asked rudely if we could come tomorrow evening. There are much better places in Orta Lake.

20/08/2024: The residence is located a few steps from the lake, a well-kept garden, the painter's statue, about 500 meters from the landing stage for the island of San Giulio
17/08/2024: Very friendly typical village but unfortunately the municipality shuns motorhomes and other vans. A single parking lot is reserved for them more than 500m from the village and at a cost of €20 regardless of the time spent. Motorhome owners are therefore invited to spend their money elsewhere!

18/08/2024: We stopped for lunch on Friday 16 August 2024...after a trip to the San Giulio island...a place with outdoor tables in a cute little street we ordered a plate of rice with radicchio and provola...and it arrived cold...but cold, cold !!!..being lactose intolerant, I asked if there was a first course without cream, I was told that all first courses had the addition of cream. So I took a second course with potatoes and battered cod.. .the potatoes were frozen and rubbery, the cod and the breading were all stuck together and cold with raw pieces...in addition to a plate of battered courgette flowers which were dry and the bread in the basket was from the day before, a negative experience...I don't recommend it to no one... in the end I would have preferred to eat a piece of pizza 🍕 in the bakery
17/08/2024: It looks like a tempting place because it's quiet and in the shade but it is a huge ripoff. Paid €40 for the tiniest caprese salad (served in a dessert plate) and pesto pasta. Absolutely do not recommend.
No, we took ONE caprese for 11 euros (basically for a mozzarella with two slices of tomato served in a dessert plate) and ONE small plate of pasta with pesto for 12 euros (children's portion) apart from this very kind staff

07/06/2024: Very nicely located right at the harbor, we ordered lasagna, it tasted okay, so not bad but not particularly good for Italian cuisine either. Unfortunately, it was served on a plate and not in a nice casserole dish or specially prepared. This could be optimized with more attention to detail.

23/08/2024: Nous allons régulièrement dans ce restaurant familial depuis de nombreuses années. Le cadre est magnifique et reposant. Ce restaurant hors du temps propose des plats traditionnels simples et bons. Le personnel a un potentiel d'amabilité qu'il utilise avec parcimonie mais le service sans être des plus rapides est efficace.
06/08/2024: Nice terrace right on the lake; nice setting. Rather inspiring traditional/ typical menu choice. Fair quality and value for money. Service pretty approximate.. smiling is not in the menu .. ie friendliness and smiling seems to have been banned by the property - especially the old manager sitting behind the glass cashier post …

15/07/2024: Pessimo locale, personale e proprietari maleducati, gusti mediocri, prezzi cari. Non ti permettono di sedersi in modo comodo, pur essendo i tavoli esterni vuoti ( eravamo in due stipati in un tavolino stretto)
31/05/2024: Locale da ammodernare, ingredienti di qualita' pessima, indigeribili, porzioni scarse riscaldate al microonde servite comunque tiepidine, servizio troppo lento
La nota piu' dolente e' per il personale e la proprieta', scortesia e maleducazione la fanno da padroni, nessuna attenzione, arroganza nemmeno tanta velata.
Prezzi medio alti, rapporto qualita'/prezzo pari a zero.

16/10/2023: Abbiamo pernottato 2 giorni in questo agriturismo e ci siamo trovati benissimo.
Ambiente curato e pulito, colazione abbondante con dolce e salato.
È presente anche una zona relax.
Personale gentile e attento alle esigenze dei clienti.
Dotato di parcheggio interno e con una bella passeggiata si può raggiungere a piedi anche il centro del paese di Orta S. Giulio.

28/07/2024: Le lieu est magnifique, les prix sont abordables, la nourriture est délicieuse et les dames sont accueillantes et adorables bref génial 😀
16/07/2024: Sabato 13 luglio registro un'esperienza alquanto negativa: dopo aver chiarito con la cameriera che volevamo solo bere una cosa, è arrivata la proprietaria, presumibilmente, che in modo molto sgarbato e imperativo ci ha fatto spostare ad un altro tavolo, sebbene quello su cui ci eravamo appoggiati non fosse riservato e altri tavoli fossero liberi. Abbiamo ordinato una birra e un caffè freddo allungato con latte vegetale e ghiaccio e ho fatto presente che sono allergica alla nocciola. La proprietaria mi ha assicurato che si trattava di latte di soia.
La birra sarà stata anche accettabile, ma nel mio caffè freddo non c'era ghiaccio, e vabbè!, ma soprattutto aveva un sapore davvero disgustoso, non sono riuscita a valutare quanto caffè e latte di soia ci fosse, ma mi ha fatto pensare che ci potesse essere stato mescolata dell'acqua gassata, ho addirittura avuto l'impressione che avesse un vago sapore di birra......Dopo averne assaggiato un cucchiaino non ho potuto trattenere il voltastomaco, sono corsa a pagare e me ne sono andata pensando che, nonostante per il mio nuovo lavoro frequenterò spesso il lago, non metterò più piede in questo posto che si segnala unicamente per una location carina, il resto è davvero da dimenticare e mi dispiace di non aver letto altre recensioni perché lo avremmo evitato di sicuro.
