24/12/2025: I hadn't booked, but they welcomed us anyway, saving the day. Warm, welcoming, and cozy atmosphere: you feel at home... "pampered," as they say these days. Great service, a delightful owner, perfect Nebbiolo wine, seemingly simple and directly peasant cuisine, yet rich and elegant on the palate. The appetizer tasting highlights the meticulous attention to detail in the Russian salad (not overly acidic), the tartare (with separate dressings for individual customization), and the veal with tuna sauce, a smaller (and probably more expensive) but much more delicate cut. Gnocchi with Piedmontese toma cheese that didn't need to be chewed...they melted between your tongue and palate! Cheeks in a wine sauce that again didn't need to be chewed, except for the tactile desire to taste their softness. Zabaglione with krumiri...idyllic. The Bunet...there...slightly subdued compared to the absolute excellence of the rest. I have to thank you for the fantastic experience. We will return as soon as possible. Thanks again.

12/01/2026: The food is excellent, the place is beautiful and historic, the price is reasonable, only one small flaw: the bathroom doesn't have ventilation or a window, so the air is a bit "HEAVY" and ends up reaching the nearest tables.

26/12/2025: Christmas lunch. Expectations were very different. The only exception is the adequate service; the quality of the dishes is unacceptable, especially for a Christmas lunch. The place was cold; we ate with our jackets on. Never again.

Impeccable service, with the perfect amount of time to savor and enjoy the meal. Finally, four-legged friends are also welcome and pampered. A place to go and return to. Highly recommended.

09/11/2025: Located outside the center of Casale Monferrato, this restaurant is highly recommended for its simplicity, the kindness of the staff, and above all for its devastating first courses, made with homemade pasta (I had the pappardelle with venison and berries, my partner the agnolotti, and my friend the tagliatelle with chestnut flour and pumpkin). We fell in love!

17/01/2026: On the drive home on a dull, rainy day, we made the spur-of-the-moment decision to stop for lunch in the farmhouse. Looking at the Google map, we chose Il Galletto, a little outside the center: a very fortunate choice. Don't be fooled by the unassuming entrance. In the simple setting, the dishes are traditional and very good. The portions are generous, and the service is friendly and fast. We wish we could have tried something else. We'll be back.

01/01/2026: I discovered it by chance while desperately searching for a place open for lunch today, January 1st. What can I say? Fantastic food! Flavorful and non-greasy mushroom tagliatelle, a wonderful braised beef. Zucchini and toma puff pastry was delicious and incredibly flavorful. And to finish, the krumiri with warm Marsala cream and the best bonet I've had in days of tasting. Definitely go! (And the prices are very, very fair.)
