Locanda Rossignoli 1913 In Casale monferrato

A traditional restaurant just steps from the main square in the historic center of Casale Monferrato. A charming, quaint atmosphere invites you in. A fairly extensive menu with options for à la carte or a few tasting menus. Two of us opted for the latter, while the ladies tried other dishes. All the dishes were truly excellent, plentiful, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the service was subpar; after more than a half-hour of waiting, we had to call someone to order, even though two tables who arrived after us had already done so. Furthermore, the waiters moved around the tables agitatedly, especially one man in shorts with large pockets, who looked visibly nervous and inappropriately dressed. Nevertheless, we ate very well, with a more than fair bill.

An unexpected encounter in Casale Monferrato: a historic establishment with knowledgeable and very helpful young waiters. Delicious food in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. A truly pleasant surprise. Thank you.

The food was excellent, the service very friendly and quick. The menu is highly recommended and offers good value for money. My absolute favorite was the vitello tonnato.

We went for lunch during the week: we sampled traditional Piedmontese dishes, and it was all delicious. They were beautifully executed, and the ingredients were truly top-quality. The vitello tonnato had a real tuna sauce, not a bland tuna mayonnaise; the tartare was excellent. The agnolotti, especially the texture of the filling, reminded me of my grandmother's (I have Piedmontese roots). Finally (and this doesn't hurt 😉), they're very close to Portinaro, the home of authentic krumiri!

The waitress was friendly, but then the owner came and treated me with disdain, as if she were more important because she had money. I have money too, but I consider myself equal to everyone else. Your attitude was unacceptable; you didn't even say goodbye when I left. Very rude. Otherwise, Lavocina is exceptional. Thank you to the cooks.

The food selection lives up to expectations. The ingredients, clearly fresh, are carefully selected, resulting in dishes of excellent quality, well-executed, and harmonious in flavor. Overall, this is a restaurant that strikes a balance between hospitality and cuisine, leaving a decidedly positive impression.

In the heart of Casale lies this historic, traditional inn. My partner and I started with a caramelized onion tarte tatin and veal with tuna sauce, both excellent. I then ordered the purple potato gnocchi with Castelmagno cheese, which were very good, while my partner had the tajarin with Bra sausage, which was also very good. Very professional and friendly service. Recommended!

The atmosphere is refined yet retains the flavor of old-fashioned eateries. The service is attentive and friendly. We had lunch here, with two appetizers and two first courses, all very good and fresh. A place we'll gladly return to.
