19/09/2025: We arrived at 8:10 PM and left at 10:28 PM. I ordered pizza, and good luck! When I finished, 10 minutes later, my friend's fritto misto finally arrived. It's the first time I've spent 10 minutes at the cash register just to pay.

25/06/2025: Ho avuto il piacere di pranzare e cenare per due giorni presso il ristorante Il Rifugio, scelto e selezionato dalla mia azienda per un soggiorno di lavoro. Fin dal primo momento, il locale ha trasmesso una sensazione di cura e accoglienza: ordine e pulizia impeccabili, un ambiente davvero piacevole e ben tenuto. Ogni piatto servito è stato una piacevole scoperta: la presentazione curata nei minimi dettagli, capace di valorizzare al meglio le portate, e il gusto... semplicemente eccellente. Si percepisce chiaramente la scelta di materie prime di alta qualità e un’attenzione particolare nella preparazione. Il servizio è stato all’altezza delle aspettative: personale cordiale, attento e professionale, sempre disponibile e con il sorriso. Ottimq esperienza gastronomica che ha superato ogni aspettativa, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente Il Rifugio a chi cerca una cucina di qualità in un ambiente curato e accogliente.

19/10/2025: Better to give it a wide berth Our visit to this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing in several respects. A pork dish we ordered was served undercooked twice. Only on the third attempt was the meat fully cooked – however, the repeated reheating made it dry and unappealing. The children's schnitzels seemed to have been industrially prepared, as they were all identically shaped and very tough. The fish plate consisted of small pieces of fish with a lot of skin and hardly any meat, heavily fried and coated in a thick, floury coating – tasteless. Another dish wasn't even cooked but still appeared on the bill. The staff didn't respond to this with understanding or an apology, but rather with a discussion. The pork, which we complained about, was also charged in full. The portions were small overall. It was obvious that ready-made products were being used; fresh herbs or attractive presentation were nowhere to be found. The service was slow, unfriendly, and made little effort to make the experience pleasant. The owner was present, but he acted hectic and unfriendly, didn't greet us upon entering or leaving the restaurant, and generally didn't give a professional impression. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've ever had. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot recommend it. ... Better avoid Our visit to this restaurant was completely disappointing, despite various expectations. A fried meat dish was served twice, not completely cooked. Only the third time around, the meat was cooked perfectly, but due to the repeated heating, it was already dry and tasteless. The cotton fabric for children also has industrial products: it has the same shape and is made to last for a long time. 05/09/2025: A wonderful place in the heart of the picturesque monastery complex. The food is very good, and the prices are reasonable. However, the unfriendliness of the staff, even when speaking Italian, is a real imposition.

16/10/2025: We were able to enjoy the view of the lake during our stay. The pizza we ordered wasn't as tasty as we'd hoped... canned mushrooms (!) and the dough? So-so. Service: There was service, but it was somewhat lackluster and disinterested. A feast for the eyes is also part of the experience. I wouldn't go there again.

16/10/2025: The location right on the lake is impressive. The pizza taste was less impressive. Mediocre at best. While well-topped, it was extremely bland, which is a shame. And Jan is right, canned mushrooms are a no-go.

23/07/2025: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance with my partner. The restaurant is very, very good, with fresh ingredients. We'll definitely be back.

Elsa Chef sopraffina, piatti davvero ottimi, e sapori veri di piatti cucinati con amore. ( le tagliatelle hai 30 tuorli a dir poco sopraffini!!!😋😋) Lunedì torno da voi!!🥰😋

02/08/2025: A Piedmontese restaurant in the center of San Sicario Borgo, completely pet-friendly (see photos). Simple but beautifully prepared dishes, with exceptional pork cheeks. The service was also very friendly and they took care of our dog, explaining how to make salsa verde (because we were curious). Accessible bathroom.
