22/03/2026: As other customers have already described, the place is very special, being an old wooden building beautifully furnished with antiques. Unfortunately, there's no transparency in indicating which appetizers will be served or choosing a bottle of wine to open at the table! Then comes a choice of first and second courses. Dario is very kind and asks several times if everything is going well. So far, I'd say the place is exceptional, until it comes to the bill. And here's the rub... the total doesn't specify the breakdown of food and drinks. And for two people, he asked for €150😢 and without a commercial document. If you want, go ahead and have an experience that will remain in your memories.
22/02/2026: Very disappointing experience.
We called in advance and were told there were three starters and four mains available - but no one mentioned it was a mandatory fixed menu. When we arrived, no menu was provided, no prices were explained, and no one clarified how dinner worked.
Appetizers were brought to the table without explanation, and even a bottle of wine was opened and placed there without our consent. Only after we asked repeatedly did the owner inform us it was an €80 fixed menu (one starter, one main, and a second course).
The lack of transparency was unacceptable, but what made it worse was the owner’s rude and dismissive attitude.
We left without eating. This felt misleading and highly unprofessional.

27/04/2025: Los camareros muy agradable y amable. Tuvimos un aperitivo solo y pedimos también dos platos pequeños y un postre con dos cucharas ya que no tuvimos mucho tiempo. Porciones y calidad de la comida súper buena. El vino recomendado también era de primera.
El ambiente podría haber sido genial. Lo que molestó mucho fue el dueño estresado que trató a alguien en la cocina tan mal que lo escuchamos sentado afuera y arruinó el lugar tranquilo. Un comportamiento absoluto de “no ir” si usted es un anfitrión.

25/12/2025: ABSURD! Just this evening, for Christmas dinner, my partner, our golden retriever, and I were looking for a place to eat.
The man at the door (rude and grumpy) told us we couldn't sit in his restaurant (EMPTY! After all, how could it be otherwise with someone like that?).
Look. Considering the collapse of this country and all its businesses closed in recent years, perhaps it's time to reconsider their policies, considering it's 2026, not 1912.
The gentleman at the front desk even laughed as we left, pleased with his umpteenth failure (given all the great reviews).
No big deal, because we're at MADE MIO, which is definitely better.
25/12/2025: Stuck in the Middle Ages. On the evening of December 25th, my boyfriend and I went out to find a place to have dinner in a spooky and deserted Madesimo. We arrived at this completely DESERTED "restaurant" and asked for a table for two with a dog. They wouldn't let us sit because dogs aren't allowed. It's 2026. They probably lost their only customers of the evening, all because they wouldn't allow a dog. We travel everywhere with our puppy and have never been denied entry to a restaurant, anywhere in Italy. Madesimo was my entire childhood, but now I understand why it's become a completely ghost town; unfortunately, it's stuck in the 1940s.

15/07/2025: Cibo ottimo, soprattutto la polenta taragnaaaaa. Ci sono anche dei giochi per i bambini, gli asinelli,escursioni e poltrone per prendere il ☀️
10/07/2025: Dopo le passeggiate lungo e sopra il Lago di Livigno, dà soddisfazione il pranzo in questo caratteristico locale, dove sostanzialmente tutto è buono e gustoso ( dalle zuppe ad un semplice uova e bacon, ai più elaborati spatzle con noci e speck, fino ad un eccellente strudel). Bene così.

17/08/2025: 2 piadinas which were good overall, 2 beers and 2 coffees which were also good, but all for a total of €28 which is perhaps a bit high for two people and I would add another flaw: we didn't like the fact that dogs were not allowed.
20/07/2025: Rude and impolite, after ordering from them they made us leave the bar because we took a crepe from the shop opposite

Bella la parte esterna fronte retro, stupende le parti interne accoglienti, pulite e le tavole apparecchiate con gusto.
Credo di aver mangiato il miglio piatto di pizzoccheri della mia vita, avrei fatto il bis.
Dolci meravigliosi!
Le porzioni sono buone e l impiattamento stupendo, complimenti alla cucina.
Il personale cortese e molto accogliente. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo.
Alla prossima tappa a livigno ci torneremo sicuramente.
09/08/2025: Il ristorante è sempre molto bello e accogliente, con un’atmosfera piacevole che mette a proprio agio. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, pronto a venire incontro alle richieste dei clienti. Purtroppo, però, ho notato che la qualità del cibo non è più quella di una volta, e questo ha reso l’esperienza meno soddisfacente rispetto al passato.
