We need a sincere application of more accessible and "fair" prices. I understand the history and the location, but this must not go against a basic pricing ethic!
04/10/2025: I don't know about the pastry shop, but the coffee or hot chocolate with cream are very good, especially the cream! The staff is very kind.

26/10/2025: I go in for an aperitif, and with a puzzled look the girl asks me, "Are you alone?" as if having an aperitif alone were forbidden. (She asks twice.) I answer, "Yes." I'm told there's no table service, so I grab my Coke Zero from the counter and sit outside. In no time, a couple arrives, and table service is offered instead, ordering a fruit juice and something else. Embarrassing. But aren't the rules the same for everyone?
26/10/2025: Excellent croissants with a wide selection of flavors, from classic to more original (Bueno, Raffaello, Galak, ricotta, mascarpone, pear and chocolate, etc.).
There is no table service.
The atmosphere is cold and lacks personality.
High prices. The brioches pictured (pear + chocolate and Galak) cost €2 each.

09/11/2025: Excellent food quality, service was initially quite slow, but then excellent. The wait for food was minimal. The only downside is the price of the various dishes, excluding pizza, which is a bit too high.
07/11/2025: I returned after a long time because my brother was sure it had improved.
A truly terrible experience! Worse than the previous ones, so much so that I already stopped going.
Four of us sat down before 8:00 PM: at 8:30 PM, we had no drinks.
We patiently asked again if we could at least have drinks, but the waitress replied annoyed that they would arrive and that they were full.
We were patient, and after 5-10 minutes, the food arrived for everyone without having received either bread or drinks.
At that point, we mentioned it, and a more courteous waiter managed to get us everything.
I must admit that the food was also quite disappointing, but moving on (in fact, we still ate and didn't complain further); it was a shame that we ate with the emergency exit door swinging open every time someone left, creating a rather unpleasant draft at the table.
After finishing our meal, after chasing the staff again, we managed to get our coffees and liqueurs (without ice, even though I asked for it).
I'll end up saying it at the register because, well, it's okay... a lot of people, I think the least I can say is that. While I'm speaking, the girl at the register stops listening and, looking at the customers behind me, says, "You're welcome."
A truly rude attitude I've never encountered anywhere else.
NEVER again.

15/10/2025: I ordered a tart for my daughter's birthday. It weighs around two kilos, 2.2 at most, the man taking the order tells me. The cost will therefore be around €65. Unfortunately, on the day of collection, we were charged €86 for a tart weighing a generous 2.6 kilos. They say the fruit is heavy... yet there wasn't that much fruit. It seemed more like a homemade cake than a pastry shop cake. The fruit was arranged in rows with plenty of space between them. Not to mention the pastry, hard as a rock... a decidedly negative experience both for the price, €20 more than estimated, and for the quality of the product.

06/10/2025: PARKING: THE TREASURE HUNT STARTS HERE
Largo Europa is certainly not "large" in name or in fact. Finding a spot is like winning a scratch-off ticket: it can happen, but don't count on it. If you enjoy the thrill of stunt parking or are a fan of "I'll put on my hazard lights and see," then you're in the right place.
ATMOSPHERE: LIGHTS, SHADOWS, AND CHANGING LEDS
The interior is spacious, airy, and well-lit. The LED lamp above each table changes color like a changing mood, but it succeeds in its purpose: it gives the evening that touch of intimacy that never hurts.
The only shame is that the tables are a little too close together: you feel part of a big extended family, even if you don't know anyone.
MENU
The menu is generous, varied, and appetizing. We opted for the apericena, choosing a full menu: honest portions and a selection that's filling without boring. The philosophy is clear: you come here for substance rather than aesthetics.
DRINKS: PROSECCO PASSED, SPRITZ IN THE CARE UNIT
The Prosecco does its job: sparkling, fresh, and timely.
The Spritz, on the other hand, seems like the result of a dispute between Aperol and Prosecco: uncertain doses, no balance. You drink it, sure, but more to quench your thirst than for pleasure. Let's just say it's not the cocktail that reconciles you with life after a hard day.
SERVICE AND WELCOMING: FACADE KINDNESS, SMILE ON STRIKE
The staff operates efficiently, but the empathy is probably left in the refrigerator next to the beers. There's politeness, but little warmth. The customer is welcomed, not embraced.
In short, it's fine for dining, less so for feeling like a "guest."
BILL: FAIR WITHOUT TROUBLESHOOTING
Prices are in line with the market, perhaps even slightly lower considering the quantity and selection. The quality-price ratio saves the day and earns a passing grade with a smile (ours, not theirs).
FINAL VERDICT: THREE STARS, BUT NO SPARK
"Al Macello" doesn't disappoint, but it's not surprising. It's one of those places you could mistake for ten others like it, and no one would notice.
A place where you eat decently, drink so-so, and leave with the feeling that... yes, it was good, but it could have been better.

19/05/2025: Excellent pastry shop in Desio, can make gluten-free or normal cakes. We have a guest intolerant to gluten, we used the latter and I must say that it was really beautiful and good! The owner at first sight seemed very sure of herself and now we know why! Just look at what a beautiful cake she made, a few instructions were enough and the result was fully achieved!
11/05/2025: I purchased some pastries on May 10th for my birthday, thinking I would receive fresh produce of the day. After the purchase, upon my request, I was issued an indemnity to take to a place and only then, as written, did I discover that the desserts were not fresh and had been produced on 8-9 May (deadline reported as 13 May).
Unfortunately, the quality confirmed my doubts: the pastries were not good, the creams were hard, the puff pastry was dry and the cannoncini were soft. It all felt stale. Obviously they advanced, it was awkward with the guests.
In the photo you can notice the soft and stale appearance of the cannoncino that I tried to eat this morning, I'll let you imagine the flavour.
All this for a good 40 euros (wasted) for just over 30 pastries.
Bad experience, won't be back. I do not recommend.

22/10/2025: Shameful!!! This is the second time I've ordered piadinas online, and once I picked them up, surprise: they're really TERRIBLY made, with very little toppings, practically nonexistent prosciutto, and squaquerone or mozzarella cheese, you can't find it with binoculars.
At almost €7 a piadina, you expect to at least eat decently.

In a hurry, I stopped for a quick piadina. I tell myself, it's been a while, let's try again! Totally wrong choice. I opted for the piadina: La Dorata with the addition of grilled zucchini.
Terrible!
Stuffed with frittata, and so far so good. It's eggs. It should have had Montasio DOP cheese, but only tiny bits of what was actually more like Parmesan cheese were detected, placed on a small side of the piada, but they were almost nonexistent. The zucchini, which should have been grilled, were actually diced, not sliced, and most importantly, visibly boiled, not grilled.
The result was a bland piadina, tasteless and lacking in everything.
How about mocking the customer?

02/10/2025: THE PARKING LOT
Arrival. First mission: parking.
The parking lot isn't Malpensa Airport, but it's not the dead-end street outside my house either: a space shared with American Graffiti. A sort of car condominium, but I always find my spot in the end. And that, in itself, puts me in a good mood.
THE ROOM: LIGHT, AIR, AND STRESS-FREE TABLES
I enter and breathe. It's an airy, bright place, with enough tables to avoid ending up eating on your neighbor's knee.
Here, the concept of "fast food" doesn't just mean "eating quickly," but also "not staying too long": and so the turnover is natural, a bit like the tides. If you want a seat, don't despair: there's almost always a place to find.
THE MENU
"La Piadineria" is a chain, and it shows: the layout and menu are replicated like a successful copy-and-paste.
But at least the piadina can be customized: regular, whole wheat, and even a few variations that make those who have recently made peace with the scale feel less guilty. A wide selection, even for chronically indecisive palates.
SERVICE
Here, the story becomes epic.
Behind the counter, there's almost always just one person: a human multitasker who darts between the register and the coffee machine with the grace of a caffeinated hummingbird.
The result? The line gets longer, people huff and puff, the neurotic ones start their foot-tapping dance. Then, finally, you order, and, surprise, the piadina arrives as fast as lightning.
WELCOME: CHRONICLE OF AN ABSENCE FORETOLD
Don't expect Hollywood smiles or greetings: here, no one asks "how are you." But it's not rudeness, it's survival. When you work with lines of impatient hungry people, the time for "welcome" evaporates.
PRICE AND QUALITY: THE BILL (ALMOST) PAYS OFF
Here comes the trickiest part: the price. It's not exactly "fast food" (forget the €5 menu with a drink included). But the quality is there; the piadina is good and easy to digest.
CONCLUSION
"La Piadineria" is the perfect place for a quick break that won't make you miss the company cafeteria.
An experience that balances pragmatism and the poetry of simplicity.
Final rating: three stars (with a round of applause for the counter athlete, who deserves a gold medal).

08/07/2025: Good food, original and fun vegan options, and a lovely place. The only downside is that it's almost impossible to contact Hug online, and nowhere does it say they only accept reservations by phone (unlike many other places). Despite that, on the day of my reservation, I tried to call to say I was running late. I tried five times, and it was still busy...
I'll be back, but I won't make the mistake of trying to book again.

11/11/2025: We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is spacious and surrounded by greenery. The staff was friendly. Even though it was cold outside, the dining room was comfortable—even too warm. The food was plentiful and we enjoyed it. I recommend it.

18/09/2025: good bakery in a nice spot in Monza good baked goods, simple but not very attentive service, the platter with baked goods although very good with aperitif for 2 people 20 euros 2 bottled beers but it consisted of 2 slices of focaccia and a pizza, it should be taken care of considerably if you want to increase in this solution excellent potential,
27/07/2025: I arrived around 5:30 PM. The tables were 20 centimeters apart. I could hear the conversations of the people at my neighbors more than the voice of the friend I was sitting with. The pigeons were eating the crumbs from the next table. And to make matters worse, the waitress asked me to pay immediately, not after I'd finished my drink, looking at me like I was a thief. There was no receipt. Congratulations. I wanted to order another drink, but I got up and went to another bar for an aperitif. Terrible.

13/10/2025: The restaurant is too chaotic, it's hard to speak because of the noise. The service leaves much to be desired, as they brought us drinks we never ordered. The food is decent, nothing extraordinary, but it's edible. But the price is definitely excessive for what you get.

27/09/2025: We had breakfast here on a busy Saturday and one of the staff members went above and beyond to help us non Italian speakers understand the menu and to place our order. The fresh juice was delicious and so was the pinsa! Another staff member also came with some candy for our dogs. All in all highly recommend!

09/10/2025: Not recommended. I never write negative reviews, but this time I had no choice. A dish served with a hair, prices higher than the menu without any warning, and a bill that was €20 more than it should have been. Avoid.
06/09/2025: I've never seen worse service, an hour of waiting for a table and another hour for a plate of pasta... only two girls to manage everything, you ask for something and obviously a second later it's all forgotten.
