10/05/2026: Barely decent food in a festive canteen setting. The mural at the entrance is terrifying, and the atmosphere is a bit less kitsch than at Castello delle Cerimonie. The wine list was disappointing. The only positive note was the quick service, which (fortunately) allowed us to stay in the restaurant only as long as necessary.

01/06/2026: I don't understand how this place has so many positive reviews. Frozen and poorly cooked fish passed off as fresh, depressing and poorly maintained atmosphere. I hope my experience is related to a supply issue in the kitchen, but a little honesty in indicating what fresh food was available would have been much appreciated.

07/08/2026: A lovely seaside restaurant offering a varied selection of shellfish and seafood. My partner and I started by sharing some excellent oysters and an exceptional octopus salad. We then moved on to the catch of the day, which, fortunately, included John Dory. Everything was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the evening was enlivened by excellent live music. A recommended spot for a pleasant and relaxing evening by the sea.

22/07/2026: I'll start by saying that I'm not in the habit of writing reviews, but unfortunately, this evening I HAVE TO! AND I HAVE TO! Long story short? SHAMEFUL! Table for five, booked shortly before, maximum availability from the call. Beautiful place, beautiful atmosphere, beautiful everything. We arrived at 9:05 PM to eat in shifts (some earlier, some later, some suddenly risked not eating at all) until 10:30 PM. I'll also specify what we ate, for the sake of fairness: 3 oysters (gilardeau), 1 Catalan (terrible), 1 mussel sauté, having 2 young men and an elderly lady, 3 fried WHITE shrimp and calamari (calamari and SHRIMP AT THE TABLE), and one spaghetti with clams, mind you! SPECIFYING THEMSELVES WITH DOUBLE HORNS CAUGHT ONE BY ONE (Given the timing, I imagine they were caught on the spot), fish tartare (tiny) arrived after everyone had eaten (for goodness sake, the raw fish was delicious). The waiters were quick to argue among themselves instead of paying attention to the few tables that were there... Bill €306... paid €305, willingly paid elsewhere but not for what we ate and how we were served. On the receipt they marked 5 waters but in reality there were 4. The wine from the menu €25 paid €30 (as per the attached receipt). The oysters cost €6, on the receipt they paid €7, the tartare €30 was very good but the price was not so good! Because, beyond the unquestionable quality of the raw materials, in grams it must have been 100g or so, the service was ABSENT, they even asked how it went without even eating... that said, as people, alas, insiders, slaves to this beautiful profession... you deserve to work only for the Instagrammable location and the raw food because then... for the rest you're nothing! We eat everywhere, we pay any amount if justified... but at your place? NEVER AGAIN! P.S.... like great gentlemen, we left a tip, but only because we understand the work, not for anything else. If I may, I'll also give you a piece of advice... don't pay attention to just one table because at that moment they're spending a lot, canceling out everything else! Because maybe... you risk never seeing that person (like us mere mortals but accustomed to eating well) again... TO MAKE IT SHORT? I'LL WRITE IT TO YOU DIRECTLY! "THIS IS WHO YOU ARE AND THIS IS WHICH YOU DESERVE!"

12/04/2026: Fantastic Gigante pizza. Thin and easy to digest. Quality ingredients. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The owner is a wonderful person. Prices are reasonable.

23/02/2026: Pizzeria with an 80s vibe. The wood-fired pizza is very large, and the service is friendly and helpful, except for the man at the cash register. The pizzas are large; the problem is the menu, which is too extensive. It lacks some classic pizzas, giving way to absurd ones: Margherita with corn, Bianca with only artichokes... I would, in my opinion, slim down the menu, removing these types of pizzas to help those who need to choose. The fried foods are "thaw and fry," so they're banal. The pizza isn't bad; in my opinion, by streamlining the menu, simplifying it, and focusing on appetizers and fried foods, this pizzeria could make a leap forward. Good job.

23/05/2026: Definitely a top-notch restaurant for those seeking excellent, fresh seafood. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. Service is fast and impeccable. The chef is superb. The wine cellar is well-stocked. The bill is reasonable for the restaurant's caliber, but you can't go wrong with it.

15/05/2026: As usual, the experience was exceptional. I always come back and am always amazed by the quality of the dishes, which are meticulously prepared down to the last detail, and the consistently professional and friendly service.

27/06/2026: A very disappointing experience. We ordered pasta with sea bream, zucchini flowers, and cherry tomatoes, but it arrived without the zucchini flowers, and no one informed us. Only later were we told that they had been removed because they were of poor quality. In these cases, the customer should be informed and given the option to choose another dish. Furthermore, the pasta was rubbery, with very little sea bream, and practically inedible. When we mentioned this, we were simply told that the kitchen was struggling for an event in town, and the only option was coffee. Only after insisting, when it came to the bill did they discount us €6 on an €18 dish, which in our opinion should have been completely removed from the bill. Truly disappointing customer service.

21/06/2026: Simple, all seafood-based dishes, but flavorful and high-quality. We ordered an appetizer that included all the appetizers and found our table filled with deliciousness! Then came the calamarata and the tagliolini with lemon and sea bream. Everything excellent! Finally, a portion of profiteroles. We were truly satisfied with our choice. The girl who served us was very good!

15/05/2026: Ten Years of Affection, Swept Away by Greed. I started frequenting this grill when it was still a proper butcher shop, with four tables set up between the meat counters. I returned for almost ten years, bringing everyone I knew, because the place truly deserved it: exceptional meat, friendly staff, a genuine and present owner. And above all, a quality-price ratio that was unmatched. Today, I no longer recognize that place. Prices have risen steadily and inexorably: from 35-40 euros per person, they went to 60-65, then 75, and now they easily reach 90 euros. I understand the general increase in the cost of living, and I would be the first to accept it if justified. But here there is no justification: the quality of the products has not followed the same upward curve as the prices. Furthermore, there used to be a special consideration for long-time customers, a tacit acknowledgement from those who had believed in that place from the beginning. Today, however, everyone is being bled, without distinction and without mercy. The thing that hurts the most is not the price itself, but the logic that seems to be behind it: it's clear that they're leveraging habit, affection, and the loyalty of longtime customers, the very people who believed in this place from the beginning. It's a form of opportunism that I find hard to accept. I'm not the only one who thinks this way: the discontent is widespread and increasingly widespread. For the same price, you can eat excellently at grill restaurants of a much higher standard. The value that made this place unique has been lost, and all that remains is the bill. I take the decision not to return with genuine sadness. My affection for this place goes beyond the owner and the inconsiderate way he's recently been treating those who supported it from the beginning. I'm attached to what this place was, to the memories I've built there, and giving it up is a painful choice. But I can't continue to reward with my presence and my money those who have deliberately chosen to betray the trust of their most loyal customers. I have recommended this restaurant to everyone I know, with conviction and affection, for almost a decade. From now on, I will do the opposite, with the same conviction.

03/05/2026: May 1, 2026 I ordered a seafood salad and a clam sauté. The seafood salad consisted of just four mussels and a dozen clams, along with some frozen, low-quality squid: overall, a poor and disappointing dish. The clam sauté was average, neither good nor bad. The bread was also a negative note: there were only three slices in the basket, decidedly too few. I also noticed that other tables were constantly asking for more bread. Ultimately, the impression is that the service wasn't well-organized... perhaps you weren't prepared. Hmm.

02/10/2025: This food was lovely enough to remind me of a healthy/quick dinner out of a home kitchen but not from a pretentious restaurant such as this one with the chef wanting compliments by showing up after each meal and reminding us that everything was made in house. The food lacked flavour and presentation. The whole experience was almost depressing with the atmosphere lacking in so many ways and the menu being so devoid of any kind of information or excitement that we really wanted to leave before ordering but the waiters were too overbearing to allow this and basically intimidated us into staying. It seems that the restaurant is stuck in the classic cuisine of 40 years ago and refuses to innovate in any way from its menu to the atmosphere. The waiters were arrogant and annoyingly would often come in twos or threes just to take an order and reminded us that everything was made in house each time they came to the table just as the chef did. They didn’t notice when we had no water left and we gave each waiter a chance to notice but none of them did and we were the only table in the whole restaurant. They brought us bread when we arrived whilst we waited for our meals but nothing to accompany the bread and then when we paid, we noticed that we were charged for it when we didn’t order it in the first place! The entire experience was extremely disappointing and to top it all off, it cost the two of us 80 euros for a main meal, a desert to share and a bottle of water to share. We appreciated what they aim to do by making things from scratch and keeping the menu classic and simple, but we will not be returning for the aforementioned reasons. Good luck to them

10/09/2025: THE FIREPLACE... With such a welcoming name, you expect it to warm your heart and stomach... and indeed, they do, even if the bill at the end leaves you feeling a little burnt 🔥💸. The food? All good, no complaints, but a bit pricey for what you get. Wow... then you order one thing and in the blink of an eye, without warning, a different dish arrives. Meanwhile, the SPACIOUS CHEF Nazzareno wanders among the tables with his unmistakable hat, ready to challenge anyone, just like me, who loves ordering green beans. Would I go back? Yes, but this time we'll go straight for a first course, without hoping to satisfy ourselves with a nice portion of sea bass or sea bream. No surprises, no burning fireplaces... you know what? The wallet.
