I paid €6 for a simple Zabvov (zabaglione without cream, not bombardino) and served it myself because I left with a small shot glass...when a whole bottle at the supermarket costs €10...and in mountain resorts, drinking double the amount, I've never spent more than €4!! It's a rip-off! Shame on you!

16/03/2026: During the Olio Capitale fair, we stayed at a hotel near this Trattoria.
We were returning home tired from the event, so one evening we decided to find somewhere close to eat and go to bed.
A few steps later, we found Trattoria Primavera: from the outside, it seemed like the perfect place to eat well and spend a fair amount.
And so it was!
Inside, there's a counter with classic appetizers, made the way they used to be:
• Breaded eggplant
• Meatloaf
• Fried zucchini
The whole thing was perfect for an aperitif before sitting down to dinner.
At the table, we were surprised: we ordered a tagliata and a fillet with parmesan cream, mushrooms, and porcini mushrooms. They turned out to be excellent dishes, and above all, plentiful!
As a side dish, we ordered a second portion of pan-fried sauerkraut: homemade with sausage!! Amazing!
Cabernet Franc on tap: worth a try.
After refueling, we made friends with the regulars, and being in Trieste, when you start to get along with people, it's an unforgettable experience.
The amount of homemade grappa we drank, sourced from the nearby region, hasn't been officially revealed yet... but the evening was both engaging and unforgettable.
Well done!!
08/03/2026: Family seafood dinner on a Friday. Everything was excellent, but the trio of fish tartare was a true culinary gem! Friendly and impeccable service. Well done!

08/03/2026: We went there at 2 pm for a bite to eat. We hadn't booked, but there were about ten tables available outside. I should point out that the restaurant is open all day, but despite there being plenty of seats to fill, the waiter apologized and didn't seat us. Luckily, there's an Osmiza 100 meters away that, despite being busy, thank God, doesn't turn people away and offers excellent service, authentic products, and a decent quality/price ratio! PS: An hour later, upon returning from the Osmiza, the same old empty tables... They were still empty!!!
14/12/2025: First night in Italy, had to have some pizza and Tiramisu!

07/03/2026: Hotel Sonia in Trieste is a perfect choice for those seeking a functional, unpretentious base. I stayed in a single room, which, while decidedly small and basic, was offered at an excellent price, making it a very good value for the area. Cleanliness was standard, and service was prompt and efficient. It's a convenient option for those looking for an affordable base for a quick stopover or business trip, while accepting some compromises on comfort. Fair value for the price.
24/02/2026: Everything was excellent! A single room cost €40. Excellent conditions. For this price, you obviously don't have to add parking or breakfast. The only thing is that parking costs €30 per night and breakfast is €15. I chose to park just outside the hotel, to the right after the Q8. There are plenty of free parking spaces, and I had breakfast at the gas station bar. From the outside, it doesn't look big, but I can tell you that inside, it's a giant maze. I even had a laugh trying to get out of it in the morning. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. I'll gladly return.

Ottime rane e lumache.
Quest'anno ho assaggiato una sublime tagliata di muflone.
Pasta con stracotto di daino migliorabile...personalmente non farei lo stracotto per questa carne.
Buon tagliere di formaggi.

20/12/2024: Wir haben eine sehr gute gemischte Vorspeisenplatte gegessen. Das Service ist ausgesprochen langsam. Das Lokal liegt sehr abgelegen und hat eine ruhige Terasse.
