09/07/2026: I was in this restaurant two years ago and left a review then too. This time, having returned here again, I decided to write another one, because during this time my impression has not changed - it is still one of those places where I want to return. During this vacation, I came here for dinner every day of my stay. I ordered different dishes - pasta, pizza, potatoes and other items from the menu. Everything was very tasty: large portions, tasty and real Italian cuisine. This is exactly what I was looking for - not just a beautiful tourist place, but a restaurant with traditional cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. Before the trip, I read recommendations for where it is better to go to eat, and decided to choose an institution a little further from the tourist embankment, where many places are oriented specifically to tourists. And it was a great decision. There is a small menu, a cozy atmosphere, and most of the guests, as I later found out, are locals. For me, this is always a good indicator if only Italians eat in a restaurant. This is not the kind of place you look for for the perfect “picture” for Instagram. There is no unnecessary showiness here - there is a different atmosphere: cozy, family, kind and very Italian relaxed. Large, generous portions, simple and tasty dishes, pleasant communication and the feeling of a real local restaurant. I would like to separately note that you can order food to go. We overestimated our capabilities several times because of the large portions, so we took the food to go with us without any problems. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I came several times right after opening, when it was quieter, and one evening later I saw that there was live music playing here - this made the evening even more special. I would also like to separately note the staff. Very friendly, friendly people who helped with the choice of dishes. My English is far from perfect, but they always understood me and tried to help. It was especially nice to meet an Italian woman among the waiters who speaks Ukrainian - this was a big bonus and made communication much easier. I also want to note the speed of service: the dishes were prepared and served quite quickly, and everything was freshly prepared. The prices are quite normal and correspond to the quality of the food and service. I cannot single out any significant shortcomings, because the restaurant met my expectations. If you want to taste real Italian food in a cozy place, away from typical tourist establishments, I definitely recommend this restaurant. I was happy to return here two years later - and again I was very satisfied.

21/06/2026: We went for lunch on Saturday at noon and ordered the fish tasting menu... everything was delicious and everyone was really kind. They let us sit with my little dog, Lola, and they immediately brought her a bowl of water with immense love! Definitely highly recommended!

09/08/2026: Four of us showed up on August 9th at 1pm to eat and we all felt like we had bothered them... in addition to the dry piadinas, the attitude of the owner and the girls who serve the tables is forgettable... simply annoyed... I recommend other places

31/05/2026: Terrible experience. We couldn't get our food after waiting 50 minutes, and were told to wait another 20. We got up, and so did other tables. They gave priority to takeout, leaving the tables waiting. The girl serving us also seemed annoyed by our complaints. With all the piadina shops in Cesenatico, I definitely won't be returning.

08/08/2026: I've never been there because every time I call they never answer. They think I should show up there with the kids and then maybe not get a free spot. Terrible.

06/08/2026: We had lunch at this fantastic restaurant inside the Atlantic Village and were truly delighted. We ate wonderfully: fresh, carefully prepared dishes, generous portions, and authentic flavors. You can immediately sense the kitchen's dedication and the quality of the ingredients. Special thanks go to all the dining room staff: Cristina, Camilla, and Anna, always kind, smiling, and attentive to every detail. Compliments also go to manager Cristian Ceccarelli, who coordinates the service with great professionalism. Finally, a round of applause goes to the kitchen, with Luigi and Amir, for their excellent work and for providing us with a truly enjoyable lunch. A place I definitely recommend, both for the quality of the food and the hospitality. We will gladly return.

07/08/2026: A fantastic find in Cesenatico! Located directly on the beautiful Porto Canale, the Leon d’Oro restaurant offers an exceptional setting where you can fully enjoy the typical atmosphere of the Adriatic coast. We had a wonderful evening. The dishes were generous, prepared with high-quality ingredients, and bursting with flavor. The fish and seafood specialties were particularly successful, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The seafood pasta was delicious, as were the fried dishes, which were light and crispy. The portions are substantial, and the value for money is excellent. The staff were welcoming, smiling, and attentive throughout the meal. Despite the restaurant being busy, we were always served professionally and in a friendly atmosphere. You can feel their genuine passion for traditional Italian cuisine. Another highlight is undoubtedly the location, right in the heart of Cesenatico's historic port. Dining on the terrace with a view of the boats at sunset makes the experience even more memorable. If you're looking for an authentic place to enjoy excellent Italian cuisine in a beautiful setting, I wholeheartedly recommend Leon d'Oro. We will gladly return on our next trip to Cesenatico. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful experience!

05/08/2026: A fantastic restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere right on the canal. The food was excellent, the value for money was perfect, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

07/12/2025: We ate here today during the Christmas markets. Even though we hadn't booked and the place was packed, they still seated us. The food was delicious and the price was right for the quality and service. I highly recommend it.

17/08/2025: We found this wonderful rotisserie just steps from the hotel where we were staying in Cesenatico. It's a quiet, friendly place in a quiet area. We immediately had a great time; all the staff were very helpful and kind. We tried several dishes, and they all exceeded our expectations. As true Bolognese locals, we recommend the lasagna, which is truly delicious!

10/08/2025: The worst lasagna I've ever eaten. In fact, it wasn't lasagna but layers of pasta with béchamel sauce. I asked the person there why there was no meat? The answer was: "Romagnola lasagna has little ragu." A real feeling of being taken for an idiot. It wasn't little ragu that was on my plate, it wasn't at all. If you go there, forget the lasagna, it's a disaster and even a shame. €9 for a portion of pasta with béchamel sauce is well paid, plus the dish was just lukewarm (the béchamel sauce just lukewarm and set, it's awful). The Frito Misto wasn't bad. Very disappointed!

06/08/2025: We ordered four pizzas and I politely asked the waitress to have two middle ones, because I don't like the edges. Shortly afterward, the chef arrived and said it wasn't possible. We ate them anyway, but they were tough, like pizzas from four days ago. Unfortunately, they weren't good.

06/05/2026: A small, typical Italian café. The owner speaks perfect German. The coffee tastes excellent. The prices are very reasonable compared to Germany.

13/07/2026: My husband and I have been frequenting this beach for years now, and to be honest, today is our first day at the beach here in Cesenatico. As always, we had lunch here, and I have to say, everything was perfect: excellent food, Ivano and Nancy were wonderful and welcoming, Herbert the lifeguard was incredibly knowledgeable, and finally, the staff were very friendly... well, we've missed all of this!

29/06/2026: We're not used to writing negative reviews; we're usually people who try to see the positive in every experience, but this time it's really hard to ignore them. Even though a week has passed since we spent two days at Bagno Angelo, our children are still talking about the scene the owner caused with his son at lunch on Monday, throwing him out in a very rude manner. This is in addition to the frequent shouting we heard throughout both days, with profanities and all sorts of colorful language used in front of everyone. We believe this behavior is completely inappropriate: while the Bagno Angelo is like a home for the owners, they must not forget that what they offer tourists is a public and deserved service. People come to the beach and pay for some relaxing and peaceful time with their loved ones; they certainly don't pay to witness scenes of domestic violence or listen to all sorts of rants. And yet we still find ourselves having to explain to our children what happened and explaining that certain actions and phrases shouldn't be repeated. Which is why we won't be returning to Bagno Angelo... it's a shame, because the staff were so kind to all of us and the chef is fantastic!
