25/03/2025: Having escaped from the walls of Bologna for a trip out of town, we came across this restaurant by pure chance. The environment is welcoming, the service was fast and the staff were friendly. We only had two first courses but they were enough because the dishes are plentiful enough to not leave with a pit in the stomach. The quality/price ratio is right and our experience was positive. We saw generous portions of dishes around us that were presented very well so if you are in these parts don't hesitate to stop by

18/01/2025: Notice to sailors, something has certainly changed in the cuisine of this place compared to my review of a few years ago, since one of the delicious dishes represented by a mix of meatballs, the real flagship and subtitle of "Il Locale", has disappeared. Now the meatballs are there, yes, but scattered here and there on the menu, in individual proposals, not even related, at least in the ingredients, to the imagination of those offered previously. I therefore fell back on the chicory, unfortunately fanned by the flavor of garlic which I would have appreciated a hint of in the menu (what if I were intolerant?) or by the person who took the order, for at least a more informed choice. I wanted to add a side dish of roasted potatoes, which unfortunately turned out to be soggy. What can I say? I am very sorry. I wish “Il Locale” to rediscover the cuisine of some time ago.

09/10/2024: Found by chance, comfortable place, clean bathrooms, friendly staff. I would like to point out that we went the day before the holidays closed, so something was missing, but in general we felt that the fish was fresh. The passatelli were excellent, the cuttlefish ragout was a little bland but the tagliolini was good and we're not there with the gratin. The gratin was small and bland. Add a little more salt or taste, the mollusc/crustacean may not need it per se, but it is needed in the seasoning. I also recommend much less razor clams, rather, given the price, I would add a crab! We were 2 people: two au gratins, two first courses and a half liter of house wine (without dessert, without coffee, without bitters) we spent around 80-something Update response to owner: 1) I certainly don't add salt afterwards and if that were the case, there should be plenty of salt and oil at the table 2) I didn't expect crab in the gratin...I recommended the crab! It's different! At least read the reviews and constructive criticism carefully, don't close your ears proudly! After this I won't go back, it was better not to answer, another piece of advice

15/09/2024: I feel like giving 1 star, but not because of the food because it was good, but because of other things: first of all the owner doesn't know how to behave with customers, after having only taken a second course each she tells us that she would have prepared the bill for us, without even asking us if we wanted anything else or dessert, he practically chased us away. High prices Never again, not recommended I reply to your answer: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the place I mention is yours. I repeat that she didn't ask us if we wanted anything else or a sweet, but invited us to go to the cash register, which we then did (and didn't bring the bill to the table, as she said). Criticism must be accepted, it helps you grow professionally.
