08/03/2026: I had a grilled fish (a plaice?). There were still a lot of bones in the fish. And the price was far too high: 30 euros. That's without the side dishes that are usually charged extra in Italy.
The dining room, under a kind of covered terrace, was clean but simple, so the ambiance doesn't justify the high price.
14/02/2026: A definite stop while in Castellabate. It's in the center of town and a great place for either a cappuccino, or an afternoon aperitif!

04/02/2026: In August, I was supposed to celebrate a very important event with my partner. We were both very keen to dine at a particular table, in a beautiful location, on a platform in the middle of the sea.
We booked that particular table, making it clear how important it was for us to dine at that table. We made it clear that we weren't local and that we would return for dinner when that table was free.
When we returned on the day of our reservation, we were treated rudely and arrogantly. We were told the table had been taken. An arrogant and presumptuous young man whose professional skills certainly include the ability to welcome customers. Not even the slightest bit of displeasure came from the young man who, regardless of our having traveled about 50 km to dine at that particular table, wanted to seat us inside.
How sad. Lack of professionalism and thoughtfulness. Lack of kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail.
Sometimes, more important than the quality of the food is how it's served, with what grace and expression.
An arrogant owner will always serve bitter food and dishes. I won't be returning.
29/09/2025: James and the entire staff was amazing. We had a perfect evening with our family and friends. The pictures don't do enough justice to just how wonderful everything was for us.

07/09/2025: Great experience! The beach club is family-run, well-organized, and close-knit. The cuisine is traditional, using quality ingredients. I highly recommend it, especially for its value for money!
23/08/2025: Two miserable sandwiches with cooked ham and one with tomato and tuna for €12! Absurd.
Without issuing a receipt... it's only made upon request.

03/09/2025: Trattoria just a few minutes' drive from Santa Maria. Excellent prices for a trattoria, and fairly good ingredients.
We didn't try the pizza, but we did try the meat.
20/08/2025: They make really good pizza, cooked in a pan over charcoal, so it's a different kind of pizza than the classic one. The vegetable pizzas are especially good. The fried calzones are a must-try. I also tried the charcoal-grilled chicken, and it was a delightful discovery. Reasonable prices.

19/06/2025: Poche parole, è carissimo e il cibo non è all’altezza. Gamberoni sulla grigliata di mare insieme all’orata surgelata. Tortino di polpo e patate orrendo. Il prezzo poi 40 euro a testa manco fosse un 4 stelle. Consiglierei di rivedere un poco il tutto.
03/06/2025: Este lugar es un club de playa y una combinación de bar / restaurante ubicado en una playa de arena fina con aguas generalmente tranquilas. Hay más de 100 tumbonas y sombrillas bien mantenidas. Al menos un socorrista útil siempre está presente. También hay baños limpios y vestuarios. Aparte de una magnífica vista al mar Tirreno, el restaurante ofrece un menú consistentemente excelente. Los mariscos frescos y las frutas y verduras de origen local son abundantes y bien presentados. El bar completo ofrece algunos vinos agradables y hacen un gran Aperol Spritz. Los dueños Rosa y su esposo lideran un personal que es amable y brinda un excelente servicio. Nos encantó nuestra estancia de 7 días en Castellabate y felizmente pasamos 5 de ellos en Lido Santa María!

08/06/2025: NON prendete la frittura al italiana (frittelle alghe, patatine, crochet e palline di riso). I prodotti di bassa qualità e preconfezionati, fatti pagare come se fatti in casa. Pizza sottilissima....se piace. Nulla di particolare
27/04/2025: Ci siamo recati un questo ristorante domenica 27 aprile con dei nostri amici.
Abbiamo mangiato come anticipato delle alici ripiene eccezionali, impepata di cozze, come primi di pesce super buoni e secondo frittura di pesce.
Tutto buono, personale gentile ed accogliente.
Carmine il proprietario persona molto gentile e la cuoca è stata meravigliosa.
Sicuramente ci ritorneremo.

04/03/2025: Purtroppo era tra i pochi aperti e ci siamo capitati noi, il menù bambini aveva pennette al pomodoro e cotoletta, la carne della cotoletta era vecchia e puzzolente, abbiamo scelto un menù del pescatore che prevedeva spaghetti ai frutti di mare ma il cameriere ci dice che i frutti di mare non c'erano perché al mercato non gli sono sembrati eccellenti.. L'antipasto era composto da straccetti di merluzzo (tipo tonno in scatola per intenderci) e patate con la stessa consistenza, il tutto pieno di olio. Mezzo litro di vino della casa e una bottiglia di acqua , poco meno di 90 euro ..

Ristorante Bar Le Gatte

15/08/2024: Hanno la fortuna che la stella minima è 1.. meriterebbero 0 stelle.
Iniziamo la cena con soute di cozze e dopo mezz’ora viene il cameriere e ci dice che sono finite le cozze.
Ci servono degli antipasti di mare che tutto sommato erano buoni (finocchio e carote con pezzetti di salmone) e vi dico che l’antipasto è il pezzo forte.
Abbiamo avuto la sfortuna di arrivare ai primi e da lì inizia il vero incubo: Pasta cruda ad un prezzo anche quasi giusto se fosse stata mangiabile.
Durante la cena ci dicono che è finito il pane e il vino e abbiamo dovuto cambiare vino (dopo solo 2 bottiglie).
Gestione del ristorante pessima su un posto strategico con un grosso potenziale.
Pagato 400€ x 8 persone ma se li stracciavo era meglio.
Da rivedere!!

14/08/2024: Non so come ci si possa lamentare del personale di questo locale. Fabio, uno dei camerieri, è stato talmente gentile con noi per tutta la sera che ci ha lasciati tutti senza parole. Grandi ragazzi, continuate così, siete la speranza giusta per un mondo migliore.
Complimenti anche allo chef e a tutto il personale, cena super ! 1000000 stelle

10/11/2024: Siamo clienti dall anno 2020 e ci ritorniamo almeno 3 volte l anno .. il mio posto del cuore. Location stupenda e il ristorante che dire ..sublime …
25/08/2024: Ristorante pessimo. Pasta scotta, antipasti insapore, vino caldo, servizio lento e non professionale.
La posizione non può certo salvare una totale mancanza di professionalità. 93€ per due antipasti ed un vino. Nemmeno nelle peggiori bettole. Se non volete clienti o turisti, non aprite attività ricettive. Statene alla larga.

14/04/2025: Questo ristorante è un'esperienza sia per gli occhi che per il palato... Un panorama spettacolare, sembra di sovrastare il mare e i colori al tramonto sono unici. La location è calda il personale molto accogliente e professionale. Il cibo è veramente di qualità con una selezione di vini di tutto rispetto. Insomma da provare! Rapporto qualità prezzo giusto
