13/10/2025: Terrible experience. Yesterday we called to ask for some information, but they hung up on us while we were still talking. We stopped by the restaurant today, but they wouldn't let us in because we had a small dog in a closed bag. The staff was rude and unhelpful. They obviously don't need customers.

10/10/2025: Simple trattoria. Menu announced verbally. Few dishes, but very tasty. A very good roast. Spartan service with long tables for several people. Typically a small town place, but very pleasant.

28/11/2025: Terrible service; good but expensive wine.

25/09/2025: Lovely place, very friendly staff. We only had a glass of wine and two appetizers. Next time we'll try something from their enticing menu. On a very positive note, I lost my wallet inside the restaurant, but found it the next day intact!

05/03/2026: What could you possibly expect from a restaurant located in the heart of Pozzuoli, a melting pot of Neapolitans and tourists from all over Italy and perhaps the world? It's not an elitist restaurant, so you have to settle for the culinary offerings and their quality. The first thing you notice upon arrival is the overcrowded outdoor terrace: often, all too often, you end up chatting with the people at the next table. If you're a tourist (which fits the stereotype), it might be fun, but if you're looking for a bit of privacy, this isn't the place for you! Quite the opposite! You might run into (as we did) a super-confident (and wine-fueled) person who takes his latest conquest out to dinner and shouts and screams because he has to let everyone know. If they then spot you and choose you as their conversation partner, they might start telling you how their love story began... the suggestion is to quickly pay the bill and run away: do you want dessert? Coffee? No thanks! You might also (again due to the limited range) witness some truly unpleasant scenes where the restaurant manager (as if he were the owner) rails almost ferociously against the newest member of the restaurant staff for a minor mistake (but the owner is happy). Ultimately, given the high attendance and the fact that it was almost the end of the season, the staff was definitely undercooked. The portions are fair for the price, the dishes are appealing, and after all, being a seaside restaurant, if even the fish dishes aren't good, it wouldn't be so renowned (unjustifiably, in my opinion). The fried fish is quite good when the oil is fresh, but it could be improved: I saw another one arrive at the next table that was overcooked. I must acknowledge the attempt to separate the aperitif area from the dinner area (though it's not always successful), and I can't imagine what would happen otherwise. I would have added half a point to all the options, but Google doesn't allow this.

15/11/2025: One word: flawless!!!! We celebrated our son's first birthday...we made a great impression, congratulations from everyone!! Salvatore was available from the start, with everything...the menu, the decor, the guests...that day he delighted us with his cooking, everything was truly delicious, so good that we don't have photos of the dishes...but for the first time ever...we celebrated an event without wanting to change a thing about how it went! A perfect day!! That's what happens when you deal with people who love their work!!!!

17/02/2026: A very welcoming place with helpful staff. The food is very good. It's perfect for families with small children because it features a large indoor and outdoor play area. These areas are included if you go for lunch or dinner, but they're also available to anyone who wants to entertain their little ones without stopping for lunch.

17/01/2026: I went for lunch today. A cozy place, with plenty of sunlight. The food was good and fresh. I enjoyed the hot bruschetta. Affordable prices. 2 waters, 1 gnocchi, 1 Sicilian pasta, 1 pennette, 1 portion of bruschetta, 1 portion of fries, 1 portion of octopus. Total 45 euros. Highly recommended. There's a large parking lot with blue lines nearby.

02/02/2026: RUINED SUNDAY We had booked this restaurant for a family Sunday to celebrate my daughter's graduation, having just returned from Milan. Having fond memories of the place, I called ahead to specifically ask if they catered to celiac disease and lactose intolerance. The answer was clear: "Yes, no problem." Once we arrived, however, the situation was the opposite. When ordering, we mentioned the intolerances and were arrogantly told: "You can sort it out yourself, just avoid what you see on your plate." When we asked for specific ingredients (since butter and dairy products aren't always visible), we received rude and superficial replies, demonstrating complete ignorance on the subject. Result: my daughter was only able to eat an octopus salad. Added to this was the truly sloppy service: a bottle of wine ordered from the menu wasn't available, the alternative was poured directly into glasses without tasting, and one of the glasses even contained water, which the wine was carelessly poured into. Meanwhile, other diners were served appetizers of questionable quality, while my daughter received none. When we asked for gluten-free bread, we were told they "never bought it." At that point, we asked for the bill (€130) and left. The problem isn't the price, but the unacceptable way they treat customers, especially when it comes to allergies and intolerances. We had called ahead precisely to avoid this, but the restaurant demonstrated utter superficiality and disrespect. I almost never write negative reviews, but I do so to spare others this terrible experience. Ignorance, incompetence, and arrogance ruined our Sunday. Absolutely avoid.

01/12/2025: We arrived at 4:00 PM, were seated, and didn't have a long wait even though the place was busy. We ordered two first courses (1 linguine with clams and 1 linguine with seafood), which were good, but the mussels were cold and the clams were very small. For the second course, we ordered a calamari platter for two (we specified "abundant"), and we received a normal amount of calamari, not too small but not too large, and a nice plate of mixed salad. We went to pay, and the lady at the table charged us for two calamari platters (we'd only ordered one, but at most she'll charge me a little more because I specified "abundant," not a whole one) and a plate of salad for the "modest" price of 10 euros, which I hadn't even ordered. I specified the items I ordered and ate, and the lady replied that she had ordered two fried items even though I'd asked for one. Then I checked the receipt and found the salad I hadn't ordered. As is my custom, I paid, thanked her, and never returned, without a fuss.

08/02/2026: If you're in Monteruscello and want to eat well, hearty, and without frills, Polli e Contorni is definitely worth a visit. This rotisserie offers much more than just the classic fare: chicken is the star of the show, but the selection is surprisingly extensive and well-curated. In addition to chicken and turkey, you can find both chicken and pork sausages, trachie, and tasty slices of meat, all cooked with care and flavor. A special mention goes to the grilled chicken, offered in unique versions like chicken in wine or chili pepper. The chicken in wine, in particular, is truly excellent, juicy, and fragrant, a choice I recommend without hesitation. The baked potatoes are also excellent, flavorful and well-cooked, the perfect side dish. The panuozzo selection is also very interesting, offered here in a decidedly oversized format, designed for those who are truly hungry. For the bravest (or hungriest) there's even an extra-large version, a true gastronomic challenge for several people. The venue is unique and well-structured on multiple levels, with a splendid rooftop terrace that makes the experience even more enjoyable, especially on mild evenings. On Friday nights, the atmosphere is made even more fun by karaoke: a well-organized event with a talented and engaging entertainer. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and helpful, a detail that makes all the difference. The small parking lot is also convenient. In conclusion, Polli e Contorni is a casual yet refined place, ideal for eating well, in abundance, and with a smile. I recommend a little more attention to the organization of the restrooms. Overall, recommended.

08/03/2026: I've known this location for several years. I was used to it and was guaranteed a safe bet under the old management. But unfortunately, there's a new management that, in my opinion, needs to be reconsidered. The bathrooms lack soap and hot water. We order a Margherita for my son and a Cistecca Montese sandwich. The Margherita arrives, and we immediately notice that the mozzarella is floating in a centimeter of water. We call the waiter, have it remade, and explain the reason. He brings it back, this time with less water, but without basil (you can't see a Margherita without basil in Naples and the surrounding area). Cistecca Montese, I specify that instead of the melted cheese, I'm substituting scamorza. The sandwich arrives and I see that there's both melted cheese and scamorza—horrible! We remembered the children's playground much better. It was freezing down there, there were three or four air conditioners blasting at 30°C but you couldn't hear a thing. My son asks for his jacket to play in, that's all there is to it.

05/03/2026: With the new management, the service really needs to be overhauled. We waited more than two hours for the sandwiches... plus there was a pizza that arrived instead, it was a disaster right away. You asked and no one knew. They were at the mercy of the people who came and asked if anything had arrived and looked at each other... it's a shame because the sandwich was very good. I hope this is just the beginning...

24/07/2025: I called for two Margherita pizzas and they refused to bring them, saying, "I've never been to your house." This all seems absurd to me because she was also rude.
