10/11/2025: An excellent dinner at Tavernetta Cinquantotto, a restaurant that perfectly combines a traditional Neapolitan atmosphere with a modern and refined touch. The tuff interiors and soft lighting create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for both a romantic dinner and a special occasion. The menu offers seafood and meat dishes, with the freshest ingredients and never boring combinations. The appetizers are excellent, balanced in flavor and presentation; the first courses are a must-try, where tradition meets a touch of creativity. The service is impeccable: courteous staff, well-timed courses, and great attention to detail. The quality/price ratio is also excellent, considering the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience. In short, a restaurant worth discovering and that will leave you wanting to return. 09/11/2025: 🍋 Return to Meta: Emotions and Haute Cuisine at Tavernetta 58 We returned to Tavernetta 58, and once again, the experience was simply extraordinary. Raffaele, the owner, welcomed us with his usual kindness, his smile and attention to detail making every guest feel at home. Claudio accompanied us to the table, offering impeccable service and extraordinary guidance on a true tasting journey through creativity and tradition. We began with two appetizers that were a concentration of originality and technique: Essenza di Parmigiana, an eggplant in osmosis stuffed with Agerola provola, breaded with its peel powder and panko breadcrumbs—a play of textures and flavors that reinterprets a great classic with a modern twist. Octopus cooked at a low temperature with garlic and thyme, then glazed with teriyaki sauce and covered with a glaze made from the octopus's cooking water: a surprising dish, balanced and full of personality. For wine, we chose Biancolella di Ischia, a native white grape of the island: fragrant, elegant, and perfect to accompany the entire meal. The first courses lived up to expectations (and even exceeded): Tortello alla genovese, with a soft and flavorful filling, served over a velvety and intense Parmesan fondue. Terra Mare, a masterpiece: pasta buttons filled with Vico Equense caciocavallo cheese and shellfish bisque, with clams, raw scampi, and flavored green olive oil. A dish that elegantly and harmoniously expresses the territory between the sea and the hills. To conclude on a sweet note, two unforgettable desserts: Tiramisu, classic but perfectly executed. Ricordi Siciliani, a poem of flavors: creamy ricotta encased in a cylinder wrapped in pistachio icing, with chocolate chips, candied orange, and a crispy cannoli shell. Special praise goes to Chef Pasquale, a true interpreter of signature cuisine that combines technique, passion, and respect for the raw ingredients. In short: Tavernetta 58 is an unmissable stop for those seeking a refined yet authentic gastronomic experience, in a welcoming setting with meticulous attention to detail.

01/01/2026: If you want to wait 20 minutes for your drinks to arrive, 40 minutes for entries, and the 1.5 hours+ (more close to 2), and then eat average food (I would actually say the flavour is bad the area) then go here. And so you know, this isn't total time this was in-between courses, so essentially we wasted over 2.5+ hours waiting If you have a brain and dont want to pay over charged prices for a tourist trap I suggest going somewhere else

11/11/2025: Very nice location, friendly and attentive staff, good food, and a very special sparkling Aglianico. Well done, The new management has greatly improved the menu, with unique first courses and richer presentation for the second courses. Their slight lack of experience is compensated for with great kindness and empathy...

09/12/2025: We were there with a group of five. During our five-day stay in Meta, we ate there three times. The pasta was incredibly delicious and, in my opinion, the best I've ever eaten in Italy. The carbonara is highly recommended! The location right on the sea is breathtaking. Therefore, I recommend coming in the evening to enjoy a wonderfully delicious pasta while watching the sunset and listening to the sound of the waves. The staff was always friendly and attentive. For the small town of Meta, this is an absolutely outstanding restaurant and a must-visit for any pasta lover! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.

29/09/2025: My wife and I picked up two pastries by chance. The staff were all so friendly and nice.. The lemony tart was amazing. Truly excellent. Sitting outside felt very cozy as well despite the traffic.

11/11/2025: I was extremely happy to find this jewel during my stay in Meta. The Roberto and Bianca were very welcoming to us!! The food was great, and it was the perfect place to end a long day. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try even more of their menu. Excellent!

01/01/2026: The experience was beyond negative!! I'll start by saying I don't eat meat, so I ordered a croquette (zucchini and provolone) only to discover that (despite it not being listed among the ingredients) it also contained cured meats. I pointed this out to the waitress, who, instead of making sure I could eat something else or apologizing, explained that the base of all the croquettes is the same as for a classic croquette, so I should have expected cured meats (YOU GUESS). The two first courses arrived: a completely bland gnocco alla sorrentina and a fettuccine alla Nerano completely cold and drowned in oil... everything was inedible. Slow service, rude staff, and excessively high prices for the standard of the place.

30/12/2025: The giant croquettes are delicious, both classic and Genoese; the Sorrento-style gnocco is unforgettable; and the spaghetti with clams is top-notch!

23/11/2025: The best restaurant of our trip to Sorrento and the surrounding area 🤩 We had bruschetta, crudo and treccia, spaghetti alle vongole, gnocchi alla sorrentina, and tiramisu. With two coffees, service, and everything else, it came to about €70 for both of us: very reasonable compared to other prices in the area. Everything was delicious, even simple dishes like bruschetta and gnocchi alla sorrentina. Highly recommended. A big thank you to the waiter on Saturday evening, November 22nd, who was incredibly friendly, cordial, and punctual. It was a pleasure to have dinner with you.
