11/06/2026: Excellent pizza, cooked in a hybrid gas and wood-fired oven. The dough is simple and light, the flavor is exceptional and very digestible. When you're feeling hungry, order a double-crust pizza and add the toppings. The family-sized pizzas (up to 3 flavors) are often larger than the box itself. Home delivery service, always highly recommended.

16/05/2026: Wonderful location and very pleasant restaurant … nicer than photos online suggest. Warm welcome and tasty food. However after warm welcome the service became pretty raw. Food slapped down - and staff seemed generally miserable. Very unlike any experience on this amazing island. When we left and said goodbye and thank you, staff totally ignored us.

11/05/2026: We chose pizza with eggplant parmigiana; delicious and plentiful.

13/07/2026: Now the meal didn't go quite right. We ordered 2 pizzas, one of which, mushroom and ham, was ordered without ham and a bottle of white wine. The pizzas came quite quickly, but the ham was still in the mushroom pizza, so we returned it. We didn't get the bottle of wine even though we shouted for it several times. The mushroom pizza came back and turned out to be really greasy, had the ham just been moved away? Finally, we ordered two glasses of wine, because delivering the bottle seemed overwhelming even though there were several waiters around us. Our Pescatore pizza didn't satisfy either. The broken shells of the mussel crunched unpleasantly in our teeth. Quite disappointed, we started shouting for the bill several times and getting it too felt just as overwhelming as the bottle of wine. Finally, we decided to leave the entire restaurant because nothing seemed to work. Things finally started happening at the front door and the waiter even ran after us and shouted that the bill had not been paid. After we had spent our time explaining our actions and criticisms, the restaurant started looking for the tables where the customers had been sitting. After waiting and arguing, an older gentleman arrived who had taken our order. He wondered what exactly we were complaining about, you have received what you had ordered. No apology or respect for the treatment we received. We asked for a discount, to which he said that the bill is only €44.50!! We also tried to communicate in Italian, which is helpful, even the language barrier cannot be invoked in this situation. Points for the great views from the roof terrace. We cannot recommend pizzas and bottles of wine at this restaurant. Maybe you will get better service at the street level take away point. That's how it is ☹️

30/06/2026: They said 5 minutes, and we waited 40 minutes on the street at 10:00 PM with 5 kids for 3 Margherita pizzas. They asked for a blanket in an empty restaurant if we wanted to sit after waiting 40 minutes. No excuse. Very disrespectful, and the pizza was uncut. Please don't go, or go for a bad experience. They told us 5 minutes, and instead we waited 40 minutes on the street at 10:00 PM with 5 kids for 3 Margherita pizzas. They asked us to cover ourselves in an empty restaurant if we wanted to sit after waiting 40 minutes. No excuse. Very disrespectful, and the pizza was ENTIRE. Please don't go, or go for a bad experience.

27/07/2026: We had a coconut and Nutella treat; the filling tasted only of butter and was disgusting. The three-flavor ice cream cup melted within 3 meters, and the flavor wasn't very distinct. I found the staff incompetent and rude (we weren't allowed to sit at the tables because "once you get the receipt, you can't sit down," even though the room was half empty). In short, if you want a post-dinner dessert or ice cream, don't stop by this place.

26/07/2026: Unqualified and incompetent staff with little desire to work! They'd rather wander aimlessly around this café, avoiding customers, than actually serve them! There are better cafés on Via Roma!

12/07/2026: It's a place that retains its 40-year-old style, but that's not a flaw—quite the opposite. The garden offers shaded areas for a relaxed breakfast away from the noise. The staff is very friendly. The pastries are good and updated with the latest trends, offering a variety of puff pastry. The coffee drinks could use some updating...

16/07/2026: An excellent experience at Gaetano Pizzeria: quality products, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive, professional service. Kudos to the entire staff for their kindness and customer service. A place we'll happily return to.

14/05/2026: Always good and kind. Excellent food. Prices have risen a bit lately, but that's the case everywhere.

08/08/2026: A total disaster, the only saving grace was the location. We went for a late lunch to grab something from the menu displayed outside. After an hour-long wait, with the place completely empty, during which we watched the waiter sit for a long time looking at his phone, he finally came to take our order, only to return several times because he'd forgotten what we'd just asked for. After another long wait, a paltry rice dish with corn and two small shrimp arrived, along with a plate of cherry tomatoes with dry, hard bread. The worst came when we got the bill: the price was triple the price on the menu displayed outside, justified by the fact that that menu was only for takeout, despite the waiter having told us we could order from that menu in the restaurant without mentioning any price increase. Terrible.

08/08/2026: Don't be fooled by the beautiful location: it's this restaurant's only good point. The service is slow and the waiters are unwelcoming, but what's worse is the value for money; we ordered two appetizers, a fish skewer that was clearly frozen, and water, all for 90 euros. It would have been too much even if the food had been good, but unfortunately, it wasn't.

22/05/2026: The best of the beaches on the island of Ischia, very hospitable owners Nunzio at the bar, Ersilia at the restaurant and Peppe in the kitchen, everything quality and a close-up view of the Aragonese castle and the island of Vivara.

10/08/2026: A €4 cover charge for disgusting stale bread; the dishes are not at all representative of Italy. We ordered two simple pasta dishes, disappointing for a restaurant in Italy. In short, I do not recommend it.

09/08/2026: We were approached by a seemingly very friendly owner and were tempted to try the meal. He quickly directed us to the dish, which was the catch of the day (€60 for two), and we accepted. The bruschetta offered as an amuse-bouche was simple, the octopus salad was well-cooked but without parsley; there was just lemon juice and a few lettuce leaves with a barely visible drizzle of oil. The most outlandish part was the grand arrival of the fish dish, which he claimed was blue fish from the island. It was, in fact, the biggest rip-off and farce imaginable in the restaurant industry. At €60 for fish, in a restaurant, you'd generally be offered sea bass, sea bream, or white seabream. This was mullet, a fish that costs less than €10 per kilo, completely different. I asked the owner about it while he was filleting it, but he didn't answer. He thought he could rip us off, so we told him there was no way we were paying that price for that kind of fish. Besides, the sauce was watery and heavily lemony, and the accompanying potatoes were tasteless. The owner was furious but didn't argue with us about the type of fish we were served. In the end, he deducted 20 euros from the bill, but it was a very tense situation. As a result, he didn't give us the complimentary limoncello he'd promised at the beginning of the meal. This restaurant is absolutely to be avoided.
