17/05/2026: A Sunday literally ruined!!! Mediocre tasting house appetizers, 4 inedible first courses that were worth throwing away, but the most disgusting thing was seeing the owners smoking in the dining room as if there was no tomorrow, in the presence of children and pregnant people, a nightmare!!! We will never go back!!! Extremely high prices: 4 mixed appetizers, 4 disgusting first courses, a bottle of wine, a coke on tap, 4 waters €340!!! Everything was a nightmare!!!!!!

02/02/2026: RUINED SUNDAY We had booked this restaurant for a family Sunday to celebrate my daughter's graduation, having just returned from Milan. Having fond memories of the place, I called ahead to specifically ask if they catered to celiac disease and lactose intolerance. The answer was clear: "Yes, no problem." Once we arrived, however, the situation was the opposite. When ordering, we mentioned the intolerances and were arrogantly told: "You can sort it out yourself, just avoid what you see on your plate." When we asked for specific ingredients (since butter and dairy products aren't always visible), we received rude and superficial replies, demonstrating complete ignorance on the subject. Result: my daughter was only able to eat an octopus salad. Added to this was the truly sloppy service: a bottle of wine ordered from the menu wasn't available, the alternative was poured directly into glasses without tasting, and one of the glasses even contained water, which the wine was carelessly poured into. Meanwhile, other diners were served appetizers of questionable quality, while my daughter received none. When we asked for gluten-free bread, we were told they "never bought it." At that point, we asked for the bill (€130) and left. The problem isn't the price, but the unacceptable way they treat customers, especially when it comes to allergies and intolerances. We had called ahead precisely to avoid this, but the restaurant demonstrated utter superficiality and disrespect. I almost never write negative reviews, but I do so to spare others this terrible experience. Ignorance, incompetence, and arrogance ruined our Sunday. Absolutely avoid.

29/12/2025: Finally, a pub that's a pub. Where you'll find a friendly and helpful owner who'll give you advice, where you'll find wooden benches, where you can eat a sandwich that you can truly call a sandwich... and then you realize you didn't spend a fortune. Truly appreciated!

04/08/2025: This restaurant is just steps from the port of Policastro. I went for dinner with my family and we had a wonderful meal. The appetizers, first courses, and second courses were truly delicious. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked. They also make pizzas, which looked truly inviting. I highly recommend it.

There were 4 flavors so I asked them to recommend the best one including strawberry, chocolate, and pistachio but neither of the staff members spoke English so I was really flustered. Then they added a corn and paid lol but it was still delicious.

03/06/2026: If I could give ZERO stars I would, giving 1 is already too much, we went in to get a yogurt to spend a quiet evening, as soon as we entered the waitress with acne stares at us and comments on our every step, clearly looking for an argument over nothing, the shocking thing is that she did it as if it were a normal thing, raising her voice and attracting all the attention of the customers who looked shocked, especially the younger ones, she was in a corner with her arms crossed saying loudly "Are you looking at me? Why are you looking?" (She had already targeted us from the beginning, probably she had time to waste humiliating herself) The shocking thing is that no one in the group was looking at her. While we were still inside she passes in front of us and throws her hair at us continuing to say "Are you still looking" as she walked, not even looking us in the face, it seemed like a comedy film. As if that weren't enough, as soon as we sat down to eat, she pulled up a chair and sat down in front of us while talking rudely on the phone... if you don't feel like working, you'd better do something else. A UNIQUE, degrading environment. Salerno is full of beautiful places that are a thousand times better without ruining your evening. Stay away! P.S. The blame lies primarily with whoever hired her. If you put someone in contact with the public who has no idea what good manners are and the meaning of the word WORK, it's your fault too; the responsibility lies with the management. We've been customers for years, and so have our friends, but NEVER AGAIN.

04/05/2026: Excellent yogurts, and above all, the service is guaranteed. The blonde cashier is extremely friendly and helpful, offering immediate assistance if needed. A truly positive experience, I'll definitely be back.

17/05/2026: I went there with my wife for a gift with a Smartbox. What can I say, it took almost an hour to get there. The wait staff was friendly enough but very unprofessional. The food was nothing special; for the value of the Smartbox (€180), I have to say I ate poorly. They have the attitude of those who run renowned restaurants, but the table was "sticky" (a sign of poor cleanliness). I won't be returning, and I hope this will change the minds of those who are about to go.

29/03/2026: At 9:00 PM, as soon as we arrived, we put ourselves on the list, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After a 30-minute wait, we were told we were "next." An hour later, we received the same response, even though several groups of about five people had entered and left before us. At 10:30 PM, after an hour and a half of waiting outside the restaurant, we were actually told to wait another hour. At that point, we decided to leave. I understand that there can be delays, but such a poorly organized management of reservations is truly unacceptable. It would be more appropriate to provide customers with clear and realistic information.

09/11/2025: The Margherita pizzas are good, but only when freshly baked. We also had the golden-brown and fried eggplants, but since they were cold, they were tough and oily.

The only real positive is the location: it's undoubtedly beautiful, with a splendid view of the sea that creates a pleasant atmosphere. I also appreciate the fact that they cater to gluten-free options: they had both pasta and bread available, and they were attentive to this. Otherwise, however, the experience was very disappointing. We waited three hours for our first course, a simply unacceptable amount of time, especially without clear explanations or adequate apologies. During the wait, the service was virtually nonexistent: we didn't feel welcomed or cared for. The staff was clearly insufficient, both in number and in managing the room, and they also had a lackluster approach to the customer. The lack of organization was evident even in the most basic aspects: when we were welcomed, we weren't even served water, and we had to ask several times just to get it. Generally, we had to repeatedly call the staff for any need. We requested the "Lucullo" appetizer, but they mixed it up and brought it to us as if we'd ordered the tasting menu, which we hadn't. This mistake demonstrates a lack of attention and poor internal communication. Furthermore, the first courses weren't served all at once: we ate in staggered intervals, with some people at the table already finished while others were still waiting. It was an unpleasant and unprofessional situation. Many people around us were complaining about the incredibly long wait; several customers even got up and left before receiving their dishes, tired of waiting. As for the food, it wasn't poor quality, but it wasn't particularly exciting either. Given the interminable wait and the general disorganization, it's definitely not worth it. A lunch that should have been a pleasant experience turned into a stressful experience. I'm sorry to say this, but I can't recommend this restaurant at this time: the beautiful sea view alone isn't enough to make up for such poor service and inefficient organization.

22/02/2026: Stunning location: face to face with the sea! The quality of the ingredients is questionable, and the dishes are overly improvised. It's impossible to accommodate guests with food intolerances or even just different tastes. Dishes are not changed! Even though we were told otherwise when booking. Completing the review is the lack of coordination between the dining room and kitchen staff, and a lot of overcharging... Totally unacceptable wait times.
