22/10/2025: L'Approdo is a 4-star hotel located not far from Orta San Giulio, in the municipality of Pettenasco. Its contemporary design promises a breathtaking view of Lake Orta. And it must be said, upon entering the room, you won't be disappointed: if you choose a lake view, the view is truly delightful, especially at sunset. However, the problems begin upon entering the room: the little place looks a bit neglected, with a decent level of cleanliness, dotted with walls in need of renovation, a fair amount of dust, and the bed is as hard as it gets. If you're used to sleeping on a soft bed at home, prepare for a sleepless night! Breakfast, a highlight of a hotel stay, more than makes up for the room's shortcomings, but only partially. The variety of products is wide, without being overly packaged. A good mix that pleases everyone. For what it offers, the price is reasonable, but if you're looking for a fully-fledged 4-star experience, it might not be the right choice.

The meat is delicious, with a variety of side dishes and desserts to choose from, and wines from various wineries. Excellent staff, and the owners are very kind and friendly. 23/09/2025: Total disappointment after positive past experiences This isn't my first time at this restaurant, and we've had good experiences in the past, but unfortunately this time the experience was so disappointing that we've decided to never return. As soon as we sat down, I took a photo of the table and my boyfriend to send to my brother, who was supposed to come with us but couldn't make it due to an unexpected event. After a few minutes, the owner approached me rather aggressively, accusing me of photographing the menu (which was barely visible in the shot). She insisted that it was forbidden to do so, even though that's not stated anywhere, and most importantly... I had no intention of photographing a menu. I really don't understand the point of this accusation, especially since the photo was only visible once, and certainly not something to "steal." I thought the misunderstanding had been cleared up there, but instead the waitress returned shortly afterward, even insinuating that my brother owned a restaurant and that I had photographed the menu for who knows what. Absurd. We were very annoyed by the tone, the aggressiveness, and the total lack of trust towards customers. Such a welcome completely ruins the experience, regardless of the quality of the food. What a shame.

18/10/2025: This establishment offers a niche pastry shop, offering recipes from Castellammare di Stabia and Naples, as well as those from Italy's most renowned traditions. The cakes, crumbles, and tarts are a must-try, as are the semifreddos and profiteroles. The deli food is also excellent, served with original and meticulously prepared cocktails. The view of the beach and the islands makes afternoons and evenings truly unforgettable for those who sit in this elegant and vibrant setting.

10/10/2025: I'll start by saying that I've been enjoying this bar for six years, so I don't feel like giving it a particularly negative rating, but lately, both the main location and the new one have been disappointing me. The service is the main problem: the only kind and active person is the queer girl, while the others are inattentive, get orders wrong, give incorrect information about the products available, and sometimes are too familiar with unsolicited jokes.

09/11/2025: A rustic restaurant at the foot of Caserta Vecchia. We met up on a Saturday evening with friends for a pizza tour 🍕 with karaoke. The place is quite cozy, the service is very fast, and the food is very good at reasonable prices. We opted for the pizza tour, which includes a generous appetizer with cured meats, mixed fried cheeses, and several small terracotta pans with portions of hot, typical local dishes, and a pizza by the meter for four people. I think the pizza would be enough for three, not four. In any case, it was a fun evening with music and laughter. I highly recommend it.

23/09/2025: I stop by when I'm in the area for work. Today, a simple spaghetti with fresh tomato has revived the flavours of the past in me. The meat is also of high quality.

06/06/2025: Mi dispiace non avere recensito prima ma dopo aver "pizzato" a oltranza in molte altre occasioni devo dire che la pizza di via Atri è rimasta nella mente e nel cuore! Non solo rispetto a quanto assaggiato una volta rientrati a casa ma anche durare il soggiorno a Napoli: dopo aver cominciato da qui ed aver fatto diversi assaggi in varie pizzerie anche molto recensite e conosciute, questa è rimasta sopra tutte la "indimenticabile". Dico solo che ci siamo fermati a "pizzare" anche prima di correre a riprendere il treno, nonostante fossimo ampiamente fuori orario... Per ripartire con il gusto capace di alleggerire la nostalgia della partenza. Torneremo. Torneremo non già semplicemente a Napoli ma in via Atri per pizzare con la gioia nel cuore!

24/05/2025: We ordered take-out pizzas and went hungry. The pizzas were inedible with rubbery dough, salty tomato and sour dairy products. The highlight was the fried pizza with a whole peeled tomato from the can inside.

12/09/2025: I tried the crepe and it was very good, unlike the brioche with ice cream. It wasn't fresh and didn't have a good flavor or texture. Otherwise, the staff was quite friendly and professional.

07/09/2025: Here you'll find some of the best gelato you've ever had: you can choose from a myriad of original and delicious flavors. But that's not all: pancakes, Sicilian granitas, crepes, churros, and the fantastic Ischian cornetto, not to mention the semifreddos, cups, and the legendary babà. Gaetano and his staff always have a smile on their faces and are incredibly friendly and helpful. Top!

15/11/2025: Unfortunately, we weren't at all satisfied... We found the place by chance, it wasn't very welcoming, the service was inattentive (they tried to take away unfinished dishes twice), and the food was poor (spaghetti alla Nerano was floating, you couldn't taste the provolone del Monaco or the zucchini, just too much salt). All this was accompanied by an unfriendly and hasty attitude. Not recommended.

07/11/2025: Wow!!! I ate at this little trattoria, where everything is authentic. The place, the staff, and especially the food. The mozzarella balls were excellent; I could have eaten them until I burst. The fish tasted fresh and seafood-y, the fried fish was so well done that it didn't leave any traces of grease, and the potato croquettes were masterful. After cutting, the topping and filling remained firm, as they should be when done well. For the first time, I ate pasta alla Nerano. I think I'll remember those flavors for a long time. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon.
