22/02/2025: Un ambiente familiare ed accogliente seppur ricavato in un’unica grande sala ben curata e con angolo bar che sforna un’ottima pizza cotta nel forno a legna con un impasto leggero che la rende ancora più gustosa e digeribile. Tante le proposte a menù ma la tonno e cipolla bianca con un pizzico di piccante sopra è davvero una bontà! Prezzi medio bassi e comodo ed ampio parcheggio antistante il locale posto all’inizio dell’abitato.

Simplemente tienen una gran ubicación para que la gente vea Si quieres un buen helado. No pierdas el tiempo No puedes comer atmósfera Ganarás yendo a cualquier otro lugar de la ciudad Revisé mi favorito btw. En conclusión. Un cebo y cambio en su máxima expresión No te molestes.

30/04/2025: Zum Abschluss des Tages sind wir hier eingekehrt, um ein Eis zu essen. Der Außenbereich ist sehr gut gestaltet, mit großen Glasscheiben um die kühle Außenluft abzuhalten. Innen sind Geräte zum Wärmen aufgestellt und die Musikauswahl sehr ist gelungen. Das Eis schmeckt sehr gut, das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

02/06/2025: Fabulous stay! It starts with the beauty of the location, swimming pool and then moves on to the excellent cleanliness of the rooms. Family-run place where the warmth of Katia, Nicola and Mr. Pasquale will make you feel at home. Respectable cuisine (super light pizza dough).

17/05/2025: My husband and I stopped by, it was almost midnight and we hadn't booked but the owner, Mrs. Pina, welcomed us anyway in a very friendly way. I had recently sprained my ankle so shortly after, on her own initiative, the lady knocked on our door to give me some ice to apply. I can say that it was a very welcome welcome in a very well-kept and clean facility.

Impeccable table service carried out by Mimmo, who is absent these days (but is still here!), by Paola and by Francesco. Five stars to all the staff... great professionals who put their heart into it! Previous review Il Frago is one more reason to choose to spend your holidays in Pizzo Calabro. I happened upon it by chance, together with my husband, walking along the beautiful seafront a few years ago and, since then, every holiday of ours in Calabria includes a return to Pizzo and to this place where we feel at home! Excellent food (both restaurant and pizzeria) for the quality of the raw materials, wisdom in the preparation of the dishes, generosity in the quantity. Great professionalism by Luigi who runs this restaurant pizzeria together with his brother Enzo, an unsurpassed pizza chef. Excellent table service, taken care of by capable staff, in particular by Mimmo and Pasquale. It is evident that, in addition to professionalism, there is a lot of heart in what the managers and staff do. Honest prices. I recommend it without reservations.

22/07/2025: Terrible. 11 people. Problems with wasps. One person was stung, helped by a couple who then left because they were allergic. Owners absent. Requested double service charge after asking for a change of cutlery due to the wasps that had been feasting throughout the appetizer. Question: why so many wasps? Answer: when it gets dark, they go away; changing cutlery costs double the service charge. We paid the bill and left, along with another couple who witnessed the incident. Even though the place is worth it, there's a limit to everything.

25/06/2025: Terrible. Average low quality, very low quantity of both first courses and fried fish. I reported this to the owner, rude response and he did not meet us in any way. We left hungry after paying a fairly high bill. Good place for tourists, for those who want a good fish dinner, however, to be avoided absolutely.

23/06/2025: A young German lady approached us outside the Osteria Del Pescatore. After we had briefly chatted and I told her about our previous experiences with the restaurants in Tropea, she recommended the Osteria Del Pescatore to us. We were skeptical at first, but that changed within the first five minutes. The waiters spoke Italian, English, and Spanish, were extremely courteous, and accommodated our every need. The timing of the antipasti and our main course was perfectly coordinated, so that everything flowed seamlessly without the annoying waits that are so common. The waiters all communicated with each other, and when they saw that a dish was coming to an end, they immediately called out that the next course could be served, without any feeling of being intrusive. The spaghetti con le vongole was exceptionally delicious; there was no salt in the vongole, as is often the case. My bistecca di vitello was perfectly prepared and seasoned, with a wonderful pink center to the meat. A great recommendation from the lady!

21/06/2025: My favorite place for dinner in Tropea. Delicious food at absolutely fair prices. Many fish dishes, a very good wine selection. This osteria is truly a little gem, tucked away in a quiet side street in the old town. Anyone looking to spend a relaxing evening with good food in Tropea should definitely stop by here.

14/07/2025: Grandioso. Vera cucina locale e piatti tipici. Fatti artigianalmente, una di quelle trattorie che speri di trovare quando cerchi un locale tipico. Trovati per caso e siamo felici di esserci fermati. Super consigliato:)

12/07/2025: Di solito scrivo una recensione solo se positiva, ma quando un cliente si lamenta e non riceve nemmeno una spiegazione o un "mi dispiace", allora forse con una recensione scritta forse viene ascoltato. Ho chiesto un piatto che nel menu viene descritto come "filetto di maiale con costine", invece mi è stato servito una carne che sembrava una braciola divisa in due, dura e piena di nervi, immangiabile. Non ho mai visto un filetto di maiale con l'osso. Le costine ovviamente erano metà grasso, quindi nel totale avrò mangiato l'equivalente ad una piccola bisteca. Oltre che dura la carne aveva un retrogusto di leggermente scaduta. Inoltre abbiamo aspettato mezz'ora per ogni piato. Il locale era pieno e ci sta un'attesa un po' più lunga, ma mezz'ora è tanto. Capisco che in un posto di mare si mangia meglio il pesce, ma allora forse è meglio lasciar perdere la carne. Ci hanno dato un sconto di 3 euro per l'accaduto...

Io sono stata in molte pizzerie napoletane ma questa la peggiore...bordo alto...bello all'apparenza ma poi mangiandola pizza con mozzarella fredda e appena appena sciolta. Bordo crudo all interno e bruciato fuori. Calzone con impasto tutto crudo.mai più. E in più abbiamo aspettato 50 minuti e quando ho detto che ne ne sarei andata è arrivata dopo 5 minuti

10/07/2025: Per la seconda volta in Calabria non mangiamo bene il pesce. Un piatto era buono, ma il secondo per niente. Segnalato subito, hanno preso ip piatto, lo hanno scaldato un po di più per poi riportarlo. Ma il pesce non era buono prima e non era buono nemmeno riscaldato. Unica nota positiva.. non lo hanno fatto pagare.
