14/08/2025: Last night, in the middle of our Calabrian vacation, we discovered this pub right below our accommodation... and what a discovery! Two amazing sandwiches, made with quality ingredients and truly exceptional flavor, accompanied by delicious beers. Friendly staff and perfect prices. If there were more than 5 stars, this one would get at least 10! The guys upstairs ✨️

04/08/2025: Cozy place. We had dinner outside with friends, very nice. Friendly and smiling staff. We chose a sandwich filled with burger, cheese, fries, and tomatoes. A trio of chicken legs and fries. Another sandwich and a trio of onion rings, chicken wings, and fries. Everything was very good.

07/08/2025: I don't know Reggio Calabria well, so I used Google Maps to find a place for a quick snack after 2 PM. Faced with a list of names, I preferred to follow my instincts, so we stopped at Antica Rosticceria del Corso, and once again, a perfect choice! The owner (at least I think so) and the staff were really friendly. We decided on a stuffed pizza (enjoy the tomato and mozzarella center), a potato and speck pitone, a creamy white arancino stuffed with smoked scamorza, and, finally, my favorite, the pasta frittatina, which I literally devoured (in the photo I tried to cut it in half to show the inside, but I wasn't particularly careful... honestly, I couldn't wait to bite into it 😋😂). The plan was for takeaway, but we accepted the suggestion of sitting in the adjacent room and enjoyed the excellent rotisserie, which we so miss in England. We'll definitely return, with a bigger appetite to savor the other delicacies available. And afterward, be sure to take a stroll along "Italy's most beautiful kilometer," Reggio's seafront, just steps away.

05/05/2025: I went to this tavern for Easter lunch. The place is very rustic and not entirely comfortable but the food is quality. I must say that the various dishes I tasted, although simple, were of a good standard, tasty and well cooked. Some discordances on the desserts and on the service which had some errors. Overall I am satisfied. To try outside the holidays

30/05/2025: Partendo dalla location meravigliosa immersa in una struttura che riesuma una storia di decenni, all’interno della quale è pieno di foto e strumenti effettivi che rimandano a decenni fa. Il menù riflette la bellezza della struttura, bello, ma soprattutto buono. Il personale è attento e cordiale, ed anche la proprietaria vaga spesso per controllare che tutto vada bene in sala. Assolutamente Consigliato

12/05/2025: Gute und einfache Küche, man sollte sich nicht zu viel erwarten. Wir hatten eine gemischte Fischvorspeise, welche überraschend gut war, Spaghetti alla Corte d'Assise alla vecchia maniera waren göttlich und die hausgemachte Pasta mit Tomaten, Melanzani, Speck und Ricotta waren auch sehr gut.

22/07/2025: Bonanno has become a regular stop for our family's special occasions, especially when it comes to excellent food. Words cannot describe the kindness and professionalism of the owners, always ready to welcome customers with a big smile and enthusiasm. The food is excellent and of excellent quality (whether meat, fish, or stockfish). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

04/07/2025: Business lunch. The restaurant has moved to another location ... The food is good, the welcome is attentive, the service is attentive. Excellent for business meetings.

27/08/2024: In the fantastic context of Palmi, this place offers an incredible quantity of granitas with original combinations. Friendly staff, fast service and fair prices.

19/08/2024: The granitas are delicious, the service quite discreet, as there are always a lot of people the wait is normal... but in the end it's worth it.

11/06/2025: We went to this place for the first time and we had a great time, everything was excellent, from the food that in Calabria as vegetarians I did not expect such quality, we had a really excellent vegan burger, to the super attentive service and the truly pleasant location, highly recommended

15/07/2025: To paraphrase Nietzsche (on whom the eclectic and charming host is a graduate), "beyond the drink—the exquisite dry passito wine or the slightly sweet artisanal rosé without sulfites—and the sea"—the crystalline sea of Palizzi and the surrounding area—there's a small osteria furnished, among other things, with original wooden objects and philosophy books, and a menu featuring predominantly fish dishes, enhanced by daily specials (for us, parmigiana and fried sea bream), all cooked to perfection. The ice creams are delicious and not to be missed.

02/08/2025: Easy to reach, even for those traveling by ferry. Excellent food in terms of quality, cooking, and quantity; friendly and welcoming staff; prompt service; truly excellent value. Quiet and well-air-conditioned atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The selection of cured meats and cheeses is extraordinary, with specialties that cannot be found in the area and obsessive care in the choice of raw materials. There is a tasting room, a welcoming and refined environment, perfect for a different aperitif than usual. Special regards also to the owner, a very kind and well-prepared person, always ready to recommend the best combinations and to share curiosities about the products. His passion is contagious and makes the experience even more special. If you are looking for a place where quality comes first, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended! 🫶🏻
