23/02/2025: I had the pleasure of dining in this restaurant on the port in Maratea a few years ago and the experience was positive. The seafood cuisine is of excellent quality, with well-prepared dishes and fresh ingredients. All accompanied by a suggestive atmosphere thanks to the position on the port. A restaurant that I recommend to those looking for good food and a pleasant setting in Maratea.
15/02/2025: My dining experience at Ristorante 1999 was truly exceptional. From the moment we entered, the welcoming atmosphere and the very attentive, friendly and cheerful staff.
My boyfriend and I took the carefully chosen menu of the day for Valentine's Day, which offered a delicious range of dishes from starters to desserts, all expertly made with simple, fresh, high-quality ingredients and exemplary combinations, every bite was a delight!
We can't wait to return to explore more of their delicious creations. Highly recommended!!!

05/01/2025: Sono stata in questo Agriturismo per la prima volta, e sono rimasta contentissima. Con la mia famiglia abbiamo festeggiato un battesimo e devo dire ch'è stato tutto SUPER BUONO. Piatti buoni, belli ma soprattutto abbondanti. Ho saputo ch'è anche pizzeria, quindi ci ritornerò di sicuro.👍👍

TRULY artisan croissants and pastries, fresh, divine and light.
Enchanting historic place with attention to detail. A few words from the owner...but the right ones.
Also worth trying are the special coffees with various aromas.
Price slightly above average but the price difference is worth it.
Quality is priceless.
Thank you so much for this wonderful little corner.

14/10/2024: Excellent cuisine, fresh and well-made fish. Courteous staff and panoramic view. Prices are adequate for what you eat, perhaps the desserts cost more than I would have expected but it's still worth it. The only downside is the service which is slightly slow but we will definitely return for the quality we found
13/10/2024: Sleepy when out of season, this is a tranquil but easily accessed location off the coast road, part of a small hotel. Had sea bass (spigola) tartar and grilled area bass filet, with grilled and sauteed vegetables. Large windows take in partially obscured sea views, and the whole has a dated, rather 70s/80s feel. Friendly cat!

13/09/2024: Shameful! we sat down and my wife noticed bugs falling on the table. The problem was a lamp above the table. The waiter kindly showed us another table to set and we accepted. After we moved, the owner arrived and told us in an annoyed manner that we would have to wait 20 minutes to change tables and without waiting for an answer he left. In disbelief I approached to confirm and the self-styled "restaurateur" reiterates the absurd claim. To specify that we had booked. At that point we said goodbye to him but not without telling him what we thought of his education and professionalism. Keep away!
Unfortunately I have to reply briefly and waste more time but the lies must be denied immediately. True that the waiter kindly suggested we change tables, false that I was kindly asked to wait a moment. I repeat, the owner approached me annoyed and rudely told me that I would have to wait 20 minutes! I was tired and hungry, I would have gladly waited a few minutes. I won't waste any more precious time.

11/11/2024: We had a "fish" dinner! Terrible quality, the clams were unpleasant and smelly, the anchovies and squid were really worth throwing to the cats! The farmed sea bream fillet was edible! I strongly advise against it! Absurd prices for what they offer.
01/11/2024: Very delicious food, nice service, fantastic views. The restaurant was open for lunch, which is an exceptional situation in Italy. The food is delicious and everyone can find something for themselves.

18/09/2024: Locale accogliente. Abbiamo cenato fuori con la vista del cristo redentore illuminato. Ottimi piatti . Anche la pizza è molto buona. Personale gentile e disponibile. Consigliato.
10/09/2024: Alloggiavamo in un hotel a Marate e abbiamo deciso con mia moglie di fare una passeggiata nel centro storico di Marate.Siamo stati a cena in questo localino nella stradina del centro con tavolini sia all'interno che sulla stradina, noi abbiamo preferito accomodarci all'interno e dal nostro tavolo se si alzava lo sguardo si vedeva la statua del Redentore ed è stato molto suggestivo come se volgesse il suo sguardo sul paese.Personale molto giovane e cortese pensavamo in tempi di attesa molto lunghi invece siamo stati serviti in maniera veloce ,prima con delle patatine da noi richieste,molto buone e poi subito la pizza anch'essa molto buona con un impasto soffice Abbiamo trascorso,una bella sera .

04/01/2025: Consigliatissimo, vengo spesso in questo ristorante ed è sempre un'esperienza positiva per l'ottima qualità dei piatti e del servizio (ci si sente veramente coccolati dal personale, ma in particolare dalla proprietaria, sig.ra Anna).
Degustata una eccellente pizza cotta in forno a legna e delle bistecche di tonno guarnite da terrina di cipolla di Tropea caramellata con contorni di insalata mista e patatine. Vi assicuro una prelibatezza da non perdete se ci si trova qui a Maratea.

06/10/2024: The owners are really approachable and know how to satisfy customers' needs! They were also able to show us a really excellent camper parking area (without it we wouldn't have known where to go). We will definitely be back! Abundant platters of cured meats and cheeses and super quality raw materials. The Lucanian beer and all the end-of-meal elixirs are excellent!! See you soon!!

06/10/2024: The pastries are good, especially the dessert from Maratea, a historic bar
31/08/2024: Stop for a sandwich and a salad. The salad was advertised with an inviting photo and the description said that there was Maratea mozzarella, tomatoes and typical frisella... the waitress specified that they would add onions, olives, corn and carrots. The dish brought was meager and contained half a base of iceberg lettuce with a few slices of cucumbers and carrots, a few grains of corn, very few pieces of tomato, three (I mean literally three) small pieces of mozzarella and three or 4 fillets of onion and in the the other half a small frisella. The whole thing cost 8 euros, I think their investment was maybe 3/4 euros. The sandwich was also understuffed. Total cost with a small bottle of water 17 euros. I understand having a margin, but this seems too much to me.
Not recommended.

Ho festeggiato a lume di candela il compleanno della mia compagna. Con grande sorpresa tutto lo staff ha cantato tanti auguri portando una tortina con la candelina accesa.
Aldilà di questa bellissima sorpresa, abbiamo cenato molto bene con piatti molto buoni e ricercati.

16/09/2024: Proprietaria gentilissima. Cibo buono e in porzioni normali. Ma ciò non giustifica il prezzo delle singole portate. La”location” senz’altro influirà ma, personalmente, non lo ritengo economico.
27/08/2024: Consiglio vivamente di pranzare o cenare in questo ristorante con una vista spettacolare la proprietaria è gentilissima e ti consiglia ottimamente hanno pasta fatta in casa prodotti del luogo le portate sono abbondanti e in questi giorni di caldo si sta divinamente io ho pranzato fuori e sinceramente non volevo più andare via quando sarò in zona tornerò sicuramente
