04/10/2025: We stopped by chance at the port of Ortona for a stroll, and from there, we discovered a whole new world! 🚴‍♀️🌊 We took a bike ride along the coast—despite the somewhat challenging route—and then stopped at the Doppia Vela restaurant ⛵️, right on the port, for a simple coffee. The very kind owner thought we wanted lunch, so we decided to make a reservation for 2:30 PM. We ate wonderfully: everything was delicious, well-organized, and the staff was courteous and helpful. But what struck us most was the attention to accessibility: perfectly accessible bathrooms, a comfortable ramp to enter, and enough space for a wheelchair user. We highly recommend it, both for the quality of the food and the great attention to detail they give to all their customers! 💙♿️🍝

30/09/2025: We arrived at the peak of lunchtime and hadn't made a reservation. We had cycled from Valle Caterina, 25 km away, and looked quite sweaty from the heat. Nevertheless, the owner asked us to wait a bit and even offered us a free drink while we waited. After a short wait, we were assigned a table overlooking the harbor. We ate octopus with potatoes, fried calamari, and swordfish. All the dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. Although the restaurant was packed, the food came quickly and the staff was very professional.

09/07/2025: Finalmente un gelato di qualità, ho potuto degustare il gelato di crema antica con babà e visciole superlativo! A differenza delle gelaterie classiche dove sono solo i colori a fare da padrone per invogliare le persone a scegliere, qui c’è ancora il vecchio carretto dei gelati , dove c’è solo la qualità a farla da padrone! Se passate ad Ortona questa è una tappa obbligata! Complimenti ancora !

28/06/2025: The best ice cream shop in Ortona and one of my favorites in general! I tried the pistachio, ricotta and scrucchiata and Petralia salt caramel with praline peanut flavors, all superb! Never tried such a creaminess and flavor! The Sicilian granita is out of this world!! Very honest prices! New flavors that I fell in love with: sweet pizza and yogurt 💖

05/10/2025: We went for our daughter's eighteenth birthday!!! Everything was perfect, the food was excellent. Very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

28/09/2025: We celebrated a friend's wedding at Villa Basti. The venue is beautiful, impeccable service and the staff are so professional and nice !

28/08/2025: Truly a sensory experience! We stopped by this little pastry shop by chance and were lucky enough to sample these delicious traditional sweets! We only tried three types, but there was so much to choose from. The owners are truly kind and welcoming. They even recommended some places to visit. Highly recommended if you're passing through Ortona.

24/09/2025: A real shame. Until last year, it was truly the go-to place for a good takeout seafood dish. Today, I don't know what's changed, it's a complete disaster. We ordered four different types of pasta with four different sauces...ALL INEDIBLE. Overcooked and tasteless pasta, completely flavorless sauce, and with a couple of inches of water at the bottom. I've heard so many people complain about the same thing. A real shame.

11/09/2025: I went to this Hostaria last night with my partner! A very traditional place, the owner is welcoming, and they cater to allergies. The food is amazing, from the appetizer to the liqueur! Mouth-watering! If you want to enjoy authentic Abruzzo food, stop here!
