16/03/2026: The restaurant's website and Instagram say the all-you-can-eat dinner costs 21 euros. But when we arrived, they told us it costs 30 euros. We came all the way from the other side of Rome for nothing.
21/02/2026: A welcoming and intimate place, the sushi is delicious, and the sashimi and tartare are excellent. A must-try if you enjoy good food.

30/03/2026: I'm sorry to write this review because I've been going there for years. It's a place I've loved since the '90s, and I've never had any problems. Maybe I just had a bad night (which happens to everyone, but shouldn't).
I took two people from out of town for dinner, and we got three All U Can Eat menus. The shrimp in the udon had a rancid taste. I mentioned it to the waitress, who didn't say a word, just looked somewhere between annoyed and disappointed, and didn't even apologize. She took the dish away in silence (that dish was obviously on the bill). The raw fish in the black rice maki and the shrimp in the fried toast had a bad taste, and I felt like almost everything was stale. Not only did I make a fool of myself, but I was sick all night, and I'm still having nausea and intestinal problems. I'm sorry again. I was there for lunch a few months ago, and everything was delicious. You don't expect freshly caught fish from an All U Can Eat. It's fine if the food is average quality, but freshness must be guaranteed, and so far, Jen Feng has always been a guarantee. Not yesterday. What happened? Why this drastic drop in quality? I don't know if I'll go back.

14/04/2026: Very dark and ugly place. There's a sign outside that says the menu is €11.90. I don't like to overeat, so I ask if I can have that. The waiter says no. Then the head waitress comes over and says yes, but then the others have to order from the menu. In short: €52 for two people, a bottle of water. I had the €11.90 menu, my daughter had four pieces of mediocre sushi... never again.

27/11/2025: If you're looking for original Japanese products, a well-stocked shop, and attentive service, go here. Very close to the Cipro metro station, it's worth the trip because it may seem small, but it has a wide selection.
26/11/2025: A shop where you can buy high-quality Japanese food and many Japanese kitchen accessories. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

15/03/2026: Terrible experience. Four of us went and ordered an all-you-can-eat option. Chinese beers cost €6 for a 66cl bottle, and in the end, some of the beers were left on the table, which resulted in a €30 surcharge. The bill ended up being more than €40 per person. The food quality is poor. Lots of goodies, but little substance. For €40 per person, I would have gone to a restaurant and not a food court. If only I'd known that beforehand!

07/03/2026: Very good, very friendly and helpful staff. If you go on weekdays, there are fewer people and a quieter atmosphere. It's always busy on Saturdays and Sundays. I recommend booking, but still highly recommended.
26/12/2025: I've been coming to Gioia Mia for years, and that's no coincidence: it's a historic restaurant, open for about thirty years, so it's not just another trendy place that just popped up yesterday.
This is evident, especially in the way they work and the consistent quality.
I much prefer it to the usual AYCE restaurants, where they fill your table with lots of food but you end up eating bland and often heavy food.
Here, it's the opposite: you pay for quality, not volume.
Each dish is carefully prepared, balanced, without the "everything the same" effect typical of industrial places.
The sushi boat remains one of my favorites 🍣🚤.
Beautiful to look at, but above all, delicious to eat.
Fresh fish, well-made rice, clean and distinctive flavors, no sauces to cover up flaws. You can tell there's experience behind it, not improvisation.
The atmosphere is quiet, the service is always courteous, and the timing is right, allowing you to enjoy your dinner without rushing.
The prices are more than fair for what they bring to the table.
If you're looking for true quality and not the usual soulless binge, this is one of those places that continues to earn your trust year after year! 😋

27/04/2026: Extremely rude management. I waited for reservations to reopen and, as soon as they became available, I reserved a table for two. During the process, the website crashed, and when I returned, the table was already sold out, despite the confirmation email.
I contacted the owner, who told me there was nothing she could do to resolve the situation. After months of waiting, I find this behavior unprofessional and insensitive to customers. If this is the level of service, I recommend considering alternatives.

06/01/2026: A very cute and welcoming Japanese pastry shop where you can enjoy a unique breakfast or a quick lunch. A small gazebo in front of the shop allows you to eat both indoors and outdoors.
The menu features traditional Japanese sweets as well as savory dishes like onigiri, uramaki, rice, and ramen.
The desserts are homemade, and the flavors of the ingredients tell you they're fresh and made with love and dedication.
The (presumably) owner was truly lovely, helpful, and very kind. She gave me some tips for my decision to try the Genmaicha, as its bitter taste might not be for everyone.
The Roll Cake with matcha and white chocolate was delicious and soft, a true delight.
Hiromi with umeshu, raspberry, and cocoa biscuits was very creamy yet delicate.
The Umeshu Spritz was a really nice new thing to try, and much appreciated.
Genmaicha is fresh and unique, with a very delicate flavor, and even though it's bitter, I personally still enjoyed it.
The story of how the idea for Hiromi Cake came about is beautiful. It touched me. Sometimes people forget that the most beautiful and precious thing is the kindness you can show others, and it would be good to remember that, but unfortunately, not everyone understands this.
I'd love to return to try other sweets and even other macha lattes.
I'm happy with the wonderful experience I had at this little place.

03/01/2026: A great experience for a first-time visitor to a place that truly feels like Japan: the desserts are truly varied and wonderfully flavorful, and the teas are equally delicious (especially the macha!). The service is impeccable and courteous, as the Japanese know how. Highly recommended for a poetically delicious afternoon snack.

18/04/2026: Never in my life have I eaten so badly at a Japanese restaurant. Every single bite was wrong: flavorless, flavor combinations meaningless, the rice was inedible, and the fish was so sparse it was as if it wasn't in the sushi.
Who saw the atmosphere? Maybe if you turned on the lights...

09/05/2026: Yuki has become a regular for us for a few months now. The food is excellent and the staff are incredibly friendly. The restaurant is small and quiet, so waiting between courses isn't a hassle. Instead, it allows you to fully enjoy your meal and have a pleasant evening, unlike many all-you-can-eat restaurants!
