The Japanese food was very good, but the service left a lot to be desired. The waiter was impatient and made us feel rushed. At one point, he cleared the table and took away my 5-year-old daughter’s plate while she was still eating. She felt so embarrassed that she tried to finish everything in one bite. I found this upsetting, especially considering the price, we weren’t dining at a fast-food place, and the level of service did not match the cost.

The food was really good and the dishes were interesting. Service was top class. Good recommendations for drinks. Sake was delicious with the food. Japanese pepper was impressively delicious and fragrant.

Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and very fast. The food is amazing. All the fried items were perfect. I highly recommend it!

We tried this place on a Saturday evening as we were looking from a break from Italian food. The food was quite mediocre and high priced for what you get. The technique to prepare the food seemed lacking. The food didn't seem very "Japanese" but a translation of it. One of the dishes was a pork stir fried udon dish. There was very little pork and more vegetables than udon. It lacked flavor as well.

If you get bored of Italian food, this is the perfect place to eat. I ordered niku gyoza, spicy ramen, unagi don, and tempura—the Japanese food was very delicious, with great taste and a pleasant aroma

Excellent experience. The food is in line with the Japanese ramen philosophy. They're not Chinese, but genuine Japanese.

Top quality! Not cheap, 10 pz omakase for €35. I wanted more afterwards bc it was sooo good. Homemade eel melts in your mouth. Edit 2024: We have been going to Shiroya for the past 6 years and have missed some past servers, and w consideration that the quality of service has gone down w each visit. It was always a homey restaurant we were excited to revisit, and these days we feel like a bother to be served Edit: 2026 And still, service continues to decline making it unfriendly and uncomfortable. I cant help but wonder if poor service is especially targeted to seemingly ‘tourists’ and ‘Asians,’ coming from the constantly bothered Asian waiter and waitress. I have been a customer for years and I don’t think I have ever heard a single hello, let alone thank you, in return, despite my tries. It’s especially embarrassing when I bring friends here and they are treated with the same poor dismissed attitude.
