18/12/2025: Expectations were perhaps too high. The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming, the service was excellent, the food was average, and the bill didn't match the quality of what we ate. A not very satisfying experience.

The restaurant is typically Friulian, with a fireplace and furnishings reminiscent of rural times. The dishes are simple, traditional, yet authentic, and prepared just like grandma used to make them.

12/10/2025: Excellent croissants and cakes for breakfast or a snack. Bread is also available for purchase. Also open on Sundays. Conveniently located not far from the city center's public parking lots.

22/01/2026: Everything was excellent...after trekking, we stopped there very late and they still let us eat. Generous portions and excellent flavor. I recommend it and thank you very much.
01/01/2026: At Il Cacciatore, you can enjoy traditional dishes of typical Brescian cuisine of excellent quality, made with simple yet top-quality ingredients, authentic and delicious.
The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms is exceptional; as is the tender and flavorful mixed grilled meats, and a sliced steak sublime in terms of quality, cooking, and delicacy.
The portions are generous, and the dishes are flavorful but not "heavy" in terms of seasoning.
The restaurant is very welcoming, and the mice en place is well-maintained.
The staff is kind and very attentive, always available and smiling.
A special mention goes to the quality/price ratio, which is 🔝
Highly recommended.

22/12/2025: The bar offers a set lunch menu, and the waiters are incredibly fast. From noon until after 2 p.m., the place is always packed, a clear sign that they do good food.
I had made a reservation (on Friday for fish), but they suggested I come back later to be on the safe side, because, rightly, workers get priority. The wait was long. Let's hope it won't be like this next time.

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, it's not the same place it was years ago. My least favorite thing was definitely the service, which was a bit rude. The house wine was acidic, and the food was overall okay, although the bill was increased by €1 per dish, without any prior agreement. In conclusion, if the prices had remained the same, the total would have been fair.

17/01/2026: The place is beautiful, well-decorated, and very welcoming. The beers are certainly good, but the hot dog is disappointing. Overpriced!
12/01/2026: Beautifully decorated, great music, and a staff that makes you feel at home. I'm giving it four stars for two reasons: the food isn't up to par and the draft beers are sometimes a bit too sophisticated. However, there's also a great selection of bottled beers.
A small personal note: two chips with your order wouldn't be bad.

27/02/2025: Typical tavern of the Friulian villages where you go to drink in the evening. The management "invents" tasting evenings but the service is poor. The chef must be a magician. It has a good palate but not to be defined as a restaurant.
