17/10/2025: Definitely high-quality yet informal. Excellent, attentive, and unobtrusive service. The cuisine was excellent, although some dishes didn't fully meet expectations. In any case, it was superior. The spider crab was exceptional. The welcome amenity (included in the service) was also delicious: a glass of bubbles and a parmesan crumble, as well as homemade cantucci biscuits with vin santo at the end of the meal and an excellent grappa. For my taste, I would have cooked the spaghetti with clams half a minute longer, and I would have also prepared the cream differently, but it must be said that the dish wasn't on the menu and, with great availability, was freshly prepared, so it's understandable that the quality wasn't the same as that of other dishes on the menu. Perhaps due to a misunderstanding, instead of a raw seafood appetizer with the spider crab, a lukewarm appetizer was served. It was excellent, but different from what was ordered. Another reason to return and try the raw seafood. The baked turbot was good, but the dish didn't entirely meet my expectations, and tastes vary. I prefer it more dry when cooked to perfection. Overall, regardless of my personal taste, it was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely recommend it again. Kudos to the truly exceptional service.

01/11/2025: Very good restaurant. A great discovery. Discovered through friends, this restaurant on the edge of the lagoon offers simple, well-prepared, and very tasty dishes. It's located in the pedestrian zone and has a few covered tables under a porch. Pleasant setting and professional service. We chose scallops, scampi, and shrimp for our starters. For our main courses, we had seafood Scoglio pasta and baked sea bass. We enjoyed local red wine and Prosecco. It was very good. The owner, who is also the chef, offered us digestifs, and we spent some time with her. I highly recommend this establishment if you're in the area. The prices are reasonable. A faultless first evening.

22/09/2025: We went for lunch on Saturday, September 20th, and it was the best seafood lunch of the week. The atmosphere is captivating, with its open spaces and colorful decor evoking a seaside atmosphere. We ordered two first courses (spaghetti with clams and spaghetti with seafood), a mixed grill (abundant and shared), a beer, a bottle of mineral water, two sorbets, and two coffees, all for €63. All the fish was definitely fresh (it didn't need any condiments). The service was pleasant and quick enough without overwhelming you, allowing you time to savor the dishes. If it were possible, I'd give it 6 stars, but it's not an option. Well done (you guys), good (the food), and beautiful (the bill).

31/10/2025: We had lunch for four in a traditional yet refined setting. The quality of the ingredients was undisputed. Kudos to the kitchen, which offers strictly local seafood dishes but with delicious and innovative recipes. The cooked and raw appetizers were excellent. We didn't order first courses, but the second courses were truly surprising in their quality and refinement. The house desserts were inviting and delicious (except for the lemon sorbet, which was a bit light and "bland"...the only slight disappointment in an excellent lunch). Excellent value for money. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Definitely worth revisiting.

28/08/2025: My husband and I had lunch today. A pleasant discovery, with a rustic, family atmosphere. The menu features seafood dishes: my husband had an excellent mixed fried fish, while I, unfortunately allergic to fish, had an off-menu dish kindly suggested by the chef: delicious crepes filled with ham, tomato, and mozzarella. The wine was also good. Fair prices.

28/08/2025: A true discovery in Marano! At JO Bistrot, every dish is a tribute to the sea. The seafood salad is incredibly fresh and fragrant, the mixed fried fish is light and crispy, and the grilled calamari with polenta is simply unforgettable. Sincere compliments to the chef, who manages to enhance every ingredient with passion and mastery. You can sense his love for cooking in every detail. The service is welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere warm and convivial. A restaurant that conquers the heart and the palate: I can't wait to return!

13/10/2025: A traditional and welcoming trattoria, with authentic, fresh fish and traditional dishes just the way I like them, all delicious. The friendliness of the family management is very welcome. It's a great place to stay and enjoy delicious fish and meat dishes. The fish is incredibly fresh, as in Marano, fishing boats arrive every day with freshly caught fish. Every dish is delicious and cooked with excellent recipes and according to tradition. The price is good and reasonable. I recommend this trattoria, located just a few steps from the center of Marano Lagunare. 😊😋
