23/03/2024: I've been both outside and inside to eat. Although the interior is very welcoming, I prefer the tables outside. It's a beautiful setting 5 steps from the devil's bridge. Excellent service, friendly staff, tasty food and really good ice cream. Also positive is their Gjulia craft beer.

The staff, expertly led by Cristina, stands out for its courtesy and professionalism. Cristina, in particular, made the evening unforgettable for my boyfriend, taking care of my wishes and creating a perfect corner for us in the room, next to the lit fireplace, with surprising ideas and impeccable execution. Her sweetness and attention to detail helped make the experience even more memorable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, because the "Al Monastero" restaurant deserves them all for its extraordinary culinary experience, enchanting atmosphere and impeccable service. It is a true jewel in the heart of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. I highly recommend it!

05/04/2024: I went to eat there on Easter day and obviously I took the Easter menu. The menu was nothing special, it didn't give you that "wow" you expect from a starred restaurant. It is located in a somewhat remote place but can be reached with the GPS on your cell phone because car navigators send you to a closed road. I found the cost a little too excessive.

13/03/2024: It was already 2pm and we were still looking for a restaurant. Finally an entrance, near the almost hidden cathedral. The menu included almost exclusively 'frico' (processed cheese). We chose the one with potatoes. Never found one so good!!! I was worried about my digestion: no problem! Modest prices.

04/04/2024: Restaurant located in a quiet pedestrian square, tables inside with a pleasant and welcoming location, refined but not cold, 4 tables outside along the walkway overlooking the square, excellent, quality food, quality wines, both loose and in the bottle, courteous and attentive service, prices a little higher than average but overall justified. Also excellent for a quick aperitif with appetizers We have fried calamari and fish first courses.

26/02/2024: Sono stato ieri a pranzo, dopo diverso tempo, insieme ad un'amica, il pranzo è stato all'altezza delle aspettative, servizio preciso e professionale soprattutto nella persona del maitre di sala e con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. L' unica nota stonata, conoscendo la bellezza della location interna, che al momento della prenotazione, seppur avvenuta in tarda mattinata, non mi è stato riferito che il posto riservato era nella veranda esterna, con copertura in plexiglass, non proprio l'ideale in una giornata di pioggia.

02/04/2024: A frank atmosphere, good cuisine with attention to the freshness of the raw materials. Everything was good, appetizers, arancini, pasta alla norma, garlic and oil with bottarga. The same goes for the New Zealand beef cuberoll and the tuna steak. A nice place for a lunch with friends or family.

Eating the busiate alla Norma, bite after bite, I was able to taste the goodness of genuine and authentic ingredients. After a long time I really felt at "home"; all in a region that is in some ways very different, but also very similar to Sicily. Congratulations indeed to the owners. I recommend it to all those who want to spend a pleasant evening in company enjoying good food and good wine, absolutely of excellent quality. We ate very well. Congratulations again.

31/03/2024: Ingredienti freschi, pietanze ben fatte, la vera Sicilia a tavola. La granita è buonissima, in pochi posti in Sicilia la sanno fare così buona. Siamo rimasti soddisfatti di tutto quello che ci è stato servito. Vi consiglio di prenotare, soprattutto nei fine settimana.

09/02/2024: Ristorante curato nei dettagli ed elegante, ma al contempo intimo e familiare. Il personale è molto gentile, la selezione musicale eccellente - dal jazz alle melodie capoverdiane -, il menù da acquolina in bocca. Fatevi consigliare i vini dal titolare Alessandro, sarà un po' come aggiungere la ciliegina sulla torta. Tornerò sicuramente!
