01/07/2024: Ordered a takeaway pizza, ready in just a few minutes. Very digestible, fresh ingredients, pasta just right, very good!!! 👏👌

07/04/2024: Really excellent pizza, light and tasty, we will definitely be back. However, as a colleague, I would like to give some advice regarding the dessert I tried. The chocolate and coconut "mousse" was truly heart-warming for me, it was basically whipped cream, with a sprinkling of coconut flakes. Chocolate guys? The mousse is something else! Really, it doesn't take anything to make it and you avoid "ruining" a nice dinner with a dessert that doesn't make sense to serve like this. However, it's really nice to see so many young people working. Good continuation

20/09/2023: Very unwelcoming and somewhat neglected environment, there was no sign of employees, orders were taken and brought by the couple's son (who didn't even understand Italian well), many of the dishes we had ordered were finished. The food was mediocre and not very fresh, I don't recommend it, I won't go back again.

24/07/2023: The news reaches me that tomorrow this place will be reopened by those who, in the past, have managed other clubs and hotels in addition to this one. Hotel that these gentlemen had to abandon after leaving debts everywhere! I am one of the many employees who have not received months of salaries! These gentlemen, instead of honoring their debts, continue to do damage thinking of enriching themselves in this way. Don't let them and go somewhere else for dinner.

22/04/2025: Con grande piacere lascio una recensione su questo ristorante. Come spesso accade nella mia vita, prendo decisioni in modo spontaneo e all’ultimo momento. Così, tre giorni prima di Pasqua, io e la mia famiglia abbiamo deciso di prenotare un pranzo al ristorante. Nel corso dei tre giorni successivi, dopo numerose telefonate a diversi locali, ero già delusa e quasi pronta a rinunciare all’idea. Tutti proponevano solo menù fissi e nessuno sembrava disposto ad ascoltare richieste particolari per un pranzo vegano o vegetariano — anche solo un semplice piatto con un po’ di insalata veniva considerato un problema. Poi ho chiamato Al Faro. La risposta è stata gentile e disponibile: mi hanno detto che avrebbero fatto il possibile per trovarci un tavolo e che non ci sarebbero stati problemi con il menù vegano. Ero al settimo cielo dalla felicità! Il giorno di Pasqua, al pranzo, mi è stato servito un antipasto, un primo e un secondo piatto… e volendo c’era anche il dolce, ma ormai ero troppo sazia! Un’esperienza davvero positiva, sia per l’attenzione al cliente che per la qualità del cibo. Consigliatissimo!

10/10/2023: The owner was asked as a courtesy to let an elderly person with mobility difficulties sit inside and he replied: "It's not 10km outside". Insensitive and rude.

20/08/2023: First night arriving in Maniago, Italy was late and tiring so I just wanted to get a meal at a local restaurant within walking distance to where I’m staying. This restaurant was just 3 blocks away and was still open, so dinner here was the plan. There was one other table seated, which turned out to be the owner and his girlfriend. The decor was typical of a rustic Italian restaurant, which was a nice welcome from long flight. Service was wonderful and attentive. We were greeted instantly and warmly welcomed like we weren’t tourist visiting. Unfortunately the first couple of items we ordered were unavailable. Since it was late and I was very tired, I didn’t remember to take any pictures of the menu, so I won’t have the correct menu names (in Italian) for the dishes we ordered. The grilled lamb skewers were delicious. The prawn scampi were really good as well. The stewed mussels were well flavored, but overcooked to the point that the mussels had shrunken. The seafood pasta was disappointing, which surprised me as I’ve not really ever had a disappointing pasta in Italy (only one other time). Since it was late, we skipped dessert but our server made sure we had a welcome shot of Limoncello! She was such a wonderful server and made the experience more memorable.

02/02/2025: Pizza buona ma servizio COMPLETAMENTE da rivedere. Eravamo in 6: A una persona - intollerante al lattosio - hanno portato la pizza sbagliata, nonostante la richiesta di escludere i formaggi. Il cameriere ha provato addirittura a sostenere che la pizza non avesse formaggio. A una persona hanno fatto cadere la pizza per terra e, conseguentemente, hanno sporcato il giubbotto di un altro commensale. Il tutto, senza chiedere scusa ma ridendo. Non hanno fatto sconti né si sono offerti di pulire il giubbotto o portarlo al lavasecco. Pizze comunque buone (a parte il prosciutto crudo tagliato troppo spesso), ma servizio pessimo. La prossima volta… da asporto.

27/01/2025: Pizza molto buona con ingredienti buoni e abbondanti l unico problema il personale! La signora nemmeno un sorriso e nemmeno una parola sembra seccata che si debba alzare dalla sedia ! L unico punto di forza il gatto sempre simpatico!
