Minimo che siano lenti … macché .. che ci sia poca scelta di menu ? Macché’ … una pizza fantastica e di impasto leggerissimo … materiale di prima qualità … camerieri ? Super professionali e simpatici …. Promossissimo

06/06/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in famiglia il 2 giugno. Locale molto accogliente come il personale. Paella eccellente stra abbondante. Possibilità di doggy bag.dal menù tutto molto invitante.prezzo abbordabile

07/06/2025: Nice local trattoria with good food looking out over the hills. Service is young and not so communicating have to ask twice for dessert menu and three times for the bill. But nevertheless a nice place witj large portions, share the pasta's for sure.

05/06/2025: We were in Salsomaggiore for 8 days and unfortunately we only came across this gem of a restaurant on the last day. Food was great. Food was on time and no one had to wait. Owner also helpful and politely spoken to. Keep up the good work.

14/06/2025: I celebrated my confirmation day at Gavinell and I must say that it was a truly excellent choice! I sincerely thank the owner Luciano and his son Paolo, as well as all the staff, because they prepared and managed everything in the best way and with great professionalism! From the first meeting there was maximum availability; Luciano welcomed us with kindness, listened to us and met our requests. On the day of the celebrations everything agreed was carried out, with attention to detail; the location was excellent, as was the "mise en place" of the table; the menu and the food offered were excellent, all very good and tasty (I also thank the chef for his courtesy and availability); finally, the service as a whole was excellent, thanks to the staff who assisted us with kindness until the end of the day! If there will be an occasion, we will definitely return to this restaurant, which was also born and proposed as a botanical garden. Thank you for everything and see you soon!

13/06/2025: We chose to celebrate our wedding in Gavinell with a buffet and dinner and I must say that we were very satisfied with this experience. The location is beautiful and well-kept, the staff is attentive and friendly and the food is also excellent.

27/05/2025: We visited this trattoria with good friends on a weekend trip to Bolzano. We received friendly service, and the pizzas we ordered were excellent. Unfortunately, the entrance isn't easy to find (there are market stalls in front of the restaurant). Definitely worth a visit!

03/04/2025: I am a convinced (and fussy) customer of this pastry shop. Formidable for tea time and breakfast, there is space, there is everything to make a good impression. The choice of pasta is right and you always find them fresh, from the beginning to the end of the day. Cream with lots of vanilla, very special mentions: the Chantilly Maritozzi, the croissant pastry, and for me the top... The babà mignon. Strong, alcoholic, aromatic, top!

14/05/2025: I went to dinner at this restaurant with colleagues. The restaurant is very nice and welcoming, but it doesn't have a dedicated parking lot. Being in Salsomaggiore, I can imagine that during periods of high tourist influx there is little parking, even though in this period (May) on Tuesday we found a place quite easily. It is a family-run restaurant, the lady who served us was very kind, but unfortunately the service was extremely slow: for an appetizer, a first course and a dessert I think two and a half hours is too long. Even though the lady explained to us that they didn't expect to receive so many reservations on a Tuesday, in my opinion this is not an excuse: if you keep the restaurant open and accept reservations, as a professional you must be able to serve everyone adequately. Decent food, but all in all nothing particularly exciting.

26/05/2025: A tourist passing through, attracted by the excellent reviews, I stopped to get a kebab and I must say I was not wrong. Excellent crunchy bread and excellent condiments, excellent service. As for the meat, it is good but we all know that it is not home-grown.

02/06/2025: Comincio con una premessa: un ristoratore che risponde alle recensioni senza entrare nel merito delle critiche con risposte squallide, arroganti e vergognose del tipo "Vai a recensire i Burger King che è meglio!" oppure "Ma chi ti vuole? Te l'ho detto io di venire a cena qua?", fornisce subito chiari elementi su che razza di pseudo-professionista sia! Detto questo, eccoci alla cena del 31 maggio. Di soggiorno a Salsomaggiore per un "percorso" verdiano, mia moglie ed io ci lasciamo attrarre dalla suggestione esteriore esercitata da questo locale. Preso posto a un tavolo per due, ci vengono presentati Menù e Carta dei Vini stampati su fogli A4! Ordiniamo due antipasti di una banalità sconcertante (dei salumi e una torta salata), una misera porzione di gnocchi e una altrettanto misera di pasta e del vino. Niente secondo e niente dolci: 103€!!! (Ah, dimenticavo, ho preso anche un liquore 😬). Non sono così ingenuo e sprovveduto da non capire che il costo totale non può essere di 10€ come sarebbe stato a casa, ma alla decenza dovrebbe esserci un limite. Soprattutto, l'esperienza sensoriale e gustativa avrebbe dovuto essere più intensa rispetto a come gli stessi piatti vengano cucinati fra le mura domestiche, non il contrario come in realtà è qua! Chi millanta un livello di cucina elevato senza dimostrarlo nei fatti, finirà per fare i conti con la propria pochezza, un domani... Ma questo, evidentemente, poco importa a chi fa ristorazione con l'esclusivo scopo di fare cassa, facendo leva prevalentemente su turisti occasionali! Ho pranzato in diversi ristoranti in questa provincia, dove ho riscontrato un livello molto più alto in termini di maestria nella preparazione, nella qualità e quantità dei piatti proposti, pagando cifre spesso inferiori in modo anche significativo rispetto all'Osteria del Castellazzo (e nessuno di questi era un Burger King!). Vorrei inoltre sottolineare che le recensioni, positive o negative che siano, sono rivolte ai clienti, liberi o meno di farne tesoro. Se poi, a farne tesoro, sono anche i ristoratori (magari quelli dotati di onestà intellettuale e non quelli incapaci di accettarle con intelligenza e buonsenso), tanto meglio! Concludo dicendo che chi ha studiato Storia dell'Arte potrebbe diventare un buon insegnante o un buon critico (se non proprio un artista). Ma, di certo, per fare ristorazione a un livello davvero accettabile, sarebbe più opportuno una formazione accademica di carattere alberghiero. In cucina, la Storia dell'Arte può attendere 😅

02/05/2025: The food here is amazing and the staff are very friendly. We had a wonderful evening in this beautiful part of Salsomaggiore. We will be back for sure.

04/06/2025: Very high prices, Saint Tropez style, especially for drinks and cover charge, which for pizza consists of a placemat. All in all the pizza is not bad but this does not justify the increase in price of the rest. I recommend, take the pizzas to go and eat them elsewhere.
