Trattoria Ceriati is one of the most renowned places around Salsomaggiore for typical local dishes. The menu isn't complex, but the dishes are reasonably well-crafted. Prices are reasonable, though perhaps a little high for the quality.
Recommended for an evening in good company in the Salsomaggiore hills; the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service is informal, as it should be in a trattoria.

Excellent food, well-cooked and carefully presented. Excellent service with friendly and attentive waitresses. I dined outside on a still-cool evening, but I still had a really good time. The quality/price ratio seems good. Well done!

A very welcoming and well-kept trattoria nestled in the quiet countryside. The cuisine offers exceptionally prepared local dishes (the torta fritta is a must-try). The wine selection is excellent (I recommend the Gotturnio or Lambrusco). The staff is very friendly, and in the summer you can also dine outside.
