01/03/2026: I stayed two nights in Sestola and, on the hotel's recommendation, tried this restaurant. A welcoming place, impeccable service, and a varied menu with excellent homemade dishes made with quality ingredients. Special mention goes to the owner, who was very kind and professional.
I highly recommend this restaurant!
22/02/2026: This is the second time we've stayed at Camping Sestola and we've used the Mattarello Restaurant, and I must say it's consistently 5-star quality, service, and friendliness!
We were a very large group, including adults and children aged 3, 4, and 5!
Excellent food
Impeccable service
So much patience and kindness with our children!
We'll definitely be back!

20/03/2026: This restaurant is located in the very central area of Sestola, perfect for a traditional meal at a good price. For two starters, a main course, a dessert, and water, we spent €25 each. The restaurant is very clean and tidy, almost elegant. The dishes are beautifully presented and come in just the right portions, neither too big nor too small. Plus, the dishes are tasty and have a bold flavor. Highly recommended! If we ever pass through Sestola again, we'll definitely be back!

28/02/2026: The refuge is in a strategic location, close to the "Passo del Lupo" ski lifts (a 1-minute drive). The refuge is immersed in nature and completely surrounded by snow. The facility is very welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent: well-stocked and everything was delicious. I would happily return to the Rifugio del Firenze Ninfa!
21/02/2026: A treat... a very well-kept and clean environment... in the evening it feels like being in a fairy tale... Home-made and very well-prepared cooking... The owners are very attentive to the customer's well-being. I repeat, it is a treat.

11/04/2026: I was here with my family to celebrate my birthday and I have to say it was a truly excellent experience. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming from the start. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was quick and efficient. The quality of the dishes was excellent: the truffles and meat were impeccably prepared, absolutely worth trying. And not to mention the view, simply stunning!!!! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
P.S.: Try the truffle tortelloni, they are out of this world 😋😋😋

15/04/2026: My boyfriend had recommended this place to me a year ago, so we went as a family. A beautiful and warm experience, definitely worth repeating! The room was spacious, even with a bunk bed for the kids, plenty of closet space to store your clothes, and a small but truly lovely bathroom with all the amenities. But let's get to the highlight: the spa! You have to book it!
Trust me, it's totally worth it! There's a room exclusively for a hot tub and a sauna. We guarantee you'll come back feeling fresh and rejuvenated, and the kids will have a blast! The restaurant is truly lovely, and the waiters are always attentive to your needs, allergies, or intolerances. The dinner and lunch menus are so generous that you'll go home with a full belly. Everything is homemade, not to mention their traditional desserts, which you'll love! Thank you so much for everything! 🤩
13/03/2026: Terrible service and mediocre food quality. The first course arrived at 2:40 PM and the second course at 3:50 PM. It's a shame, expectations were sky-high.

04/04/2026: Bad experience: a pizza full of tomato sauce. The salami and gorgonzola pizza didn't specify whether it was spicy, while the others were. To top it off, since there were four of us, we wanted a separate bill. The clerk, without even asking or even letting us speak, issued a single receipt, insisting there was nothing more he could do. Moral of the story: terrible pizza and rude staff. Avoid.
04/04/2026: Inedible pizza, too much oil added. I had a buffalo mozzarella and it had more tomato than mozzarella (two slices). To be precise, tomato soaked in the pizza. This place is a tourist trap, better elsewhere. Rude staff, especially at the cash register.

20/08/2025: Dinner with friends.
Gnocco, Crescentino, cured meats, lard, jams, sweet and sour onions, bean stew and grilled vegetables, and then sweet coffee and liqueur...all delicious.
At the end of the day, considering we also had an aperitif there, we spent 20 euros each...all while the kids played ping pong, table tennis, foosball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer...all without spending a single euro.
For years, a favorite spot on our Sestola vacations.
P.S.: Aperitif and dinner were served after playing tennis (you can shower there) on the reservable court at a fantastic price...12 euros per hour.
The owner and staff were also very courteous and helpful (they let me use the court for 20 minutes longer and even gave me new balls for free).
We arrived at 4:00 PM and left at midnight... 1 hour and 20 minutes of tennis, an aperitif, and dinner for four cost us 92 euros... something that would set you back around 140-150 euros for a day like that anywhere else...
Highly recommended.
19/08/2025: Practically a dream come true... Tigelle and gnocchi galore, delicious, velvety, and soft as a cloud. Homemade cured meats, potatoes, and vegetables, all delicious. What more can I say? A MUST.
