18/02/2025: Small but welcoming place, clean and with attention to the smallest details. We stopped by chance for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food is great, with lots of vegetarian options and really delicious homemade desserts! Average prices and friendly service. Advised!

12/02/2025: Wonderful place to spend a holiday at the foot of Cimone. Let's start with the rooms. Large spacious rooms full of all comforts. Spotless and very comfortable. The family-run restaurant is truly a pearl in the Modena Apennines. Top quality food cooked in a sublime and spectacular way. Warm and familiar environment. Spectacular breakfast. Trained and friendly dining room staff available for all requests. The managers Luca and Alessandro are really kind, helpful people and make you feel at home. What can I say? Recommended, you absolutely must try this enchanted place.

10/02/2025: We have been to this place several times, I really like it and the staff is really very kind, there are various typical dishes, the dishes are plentiful, the only thing that doesn't make me give it 5 stars is that sometimes some dishes lack a little salt and that on the tables near the bathroom you can feel the cold air a lot. Worth trying, it's definitely one of the best in the area!

19/02/2025: Una vera scoperta..... ci hanno proposto dei fuori menù e abbiamo preso le guance di maiale con polenta e devo dire che erano spettacolari, e poi la gramigna con salsiccia che è stata la più buona mai provata. Rapporto qualità prezzo veramente eccezionale. Se c'è posto domenica torniamo.

09/02/2025: Cibo buono ma servizio pessimo, la cameriera è stata molto indisponente. Peccato perché la location è molto carina e tipica.

16/02/2025: un ristorante situato in una zona collinare con una vista sulle colline circostanti. Il locale dispone anche di un ampio parcheggio, molto comodo. L’interno del ristorante ha un’atmosfera “vecchia maniera”, non rinnovata, ma questo non deve trarre in inganno: la qualità della cucina è davvero notevole. Sebbene le rifiniture potrebbero essere migliorabili, il vero punto di forza di questo ristorante è la sostanza. Appena arrivati, siamo stati accolti con cortesia da diversi camerieri, tutti educati e attenti. Nonostante fossimo arrivati un po’ tardi, alle 14:40 e senza prenotazione, non ci hanno fatto nessun problema. Il menù, pur non essendo troppo elaborato, è ricco dei classici piatti emiliani che ci aspettavamo. Abbiamo scelto le tagliatelle fatte in casa ai funghi porcini, e possiamo dire senza dubbio che sono state le migliori che abbiamo mai mangiato. Veramente eccezionali. Successivamente, abbiamo optato per il tradizionale tagliere di salumi e formaggi, accompagnato da gnocchi, tigelle e pasta fritta. Un’esperienza gustativa molto apprezzata. L’unico piccolo neo è la carta dei vini, un po’ ristretta e con una predominanza di Lambrusco (cosa comunque comprensibile vista la zona). Infine, siamo stati sorpresi dal carrello dei dolci, portato direttamente al tavolo: una scelta fantastica, con una varietà che sembrava deliziosa. Abbiamo optato per il profiterole e altri due dolci della casa rispettivamente la torta di tagliatelle e un semifreddo. Tutti molto buoni. A chiudere il nostro pranzo, un buon caffè e un digestivo. La spesa totale è stata di 45€, un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo considerando la qualità del pranzo. In definitiva, questo ristorante vale sicuramente la pena di essere visitato, anche considerando tutta la strada per arrivarci. Un’esperienza che consigliamo vivamente!

08/02/2025: Excellent food. We had an excellent mushroom lunch. Coming from Bologna I consider the prices really excellent, especially considering the generous portions. The view is also very suggestive. I hope to have the opportunity to return.

25/02/2025: Full marks for this restaurant. The pizza was sensational, as was the spaghetti. The salads as starters were really cheap for their size. Finally, a delicious espresso rounded off the lovely evening. The service is perfect. While passing by, I briefly asked if there was still a table available and was lucky. From the terrace you have a fantastic view of Lake Ledro. All in all, you can recommend the Al Lago restaurant with a clear conscience.

19/01/2025: locale ben riscaldato, con un bancone bar e sale per pranzi e cene, serve pane in sacchetto e tigelle calde con i taglieri, polenta buonissima e tagliata di cervo molto tenera ma con un impiattamento triste,

16/02/2025: I spent two pleasant evenings with my partner in this nice and welcoming restaurant. Valentine's evening sweetened by the presence of sweet bear soft toys and the warmth of the fireplace! Typical and refined tasting! Friendliness at the top!

21/01/2025: Nella mia top 3 dei tortellini in brodo! Ci ero già stato anni fa e posso riconfermare la prima opinione. Ristorante molto carino all’interno di un campeggio, proprietaria gentilissima, pietanze abbondanti e squisite. Prezzo assolutamente onesto. Il Mattarello è immancabile se si va a sestola!

31/01/2025: For work I stay and have dinner every week at the Al Poggio hotel restaurant. Every meal was delicious and plentiful, all the staff were very kind from the owner Daniela to all the boys and girls in the dining room; the rooms clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it. In this period full of students I appreciated the utmost care and kindness given to them too. Compliments!

12/01/2025: Family-run hotel..And you immediately feel at home. Almost obsessive cleanliness... attention to every detail... Extremely polite and helpful staff... Very nice, bright and functional rooms. Traditional cuisine with a touch of innovation and well presented, all accompanied by good wine...not to mention the desserts, the space tiramisu! Inside play area for children so you can enjoy dinner and child-friendly bathroom.. Mouth-watering breakfast! It can be summed up with just one adjective: Excellent! Highly recommended!

01/09/2024: My husband and I opted for the large platter of cold cuts with cheeses, grilled vegetables and tigelle at the price of €27 for two people. The platter was tasty, not abundant but adequate for the cost. What we didn't like at all is the wine list. We are not big fans but with tigelle we like to drink a good Lambrusco which is usually a not too expensive wine. In the wine list, however, the Lambrusco that cost the least was €16 and the next one was €18, both excessive also because they were Chiarli and not Campanone... Furthermore, the €16 one was sold out so we were forced to take the one from €18. Logically obliged in a metaphorical sense but the alternative was beer or water. I believe that in a restaurant that offers platters for 2 people at €27 there should also be a choice of bulk wine or a bottle at a lower cost. Furthermore, the waiters never even asked us if everything was ok... I really don't think we will ever return.
