Fantastic. I rarely write reviews but Alta Sestolina deserves an exception. We stayed very well. Exceptional in every way. Compliments. I will definitely come back.

We went with a group of 10 friends to spend a Sunday morning in Sestola and stopped at the Alta Sestolina restaurant. A fantastic experience. Highest quality raw materials, excellent dishes (the tortellone is worth mentioning) and impeccable service. The wine list is also excellent. Not to mention the truly beautiful location. An experience that alone is worth the trip.

I was really impressed by the Alta Sestolina restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. But the strong point of the place is undoubtedly the cuisine. In this place you will have the opportunity to taste typical traditional products with 0 km ingredients. Last night I tasted the ''Raviolo Aperto'' and it was an explosion of flavours. I highly recommend this place to all lovers of good food!

INTERESTING! Sunday lunch: in the somewhat standard panorama of SESTOLA, friends of local friends recommended the ALTA SESTOLINA restaurant, at the historic Hotel San Marco, with a renewed menu and intent. We were pleasantly surprised: a higher and, if you like, different proposal compared to the usual names, which mixes tradition (done well, however) with more refined flavours. Here we are on the basics: homemade pasta, tortellone and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms that are beautiful to look at and taste. The chef's hand can be seen and felt. The proposal with fish is interesting, try the "open" tortellone, and the vegetarian proposal with an expertly cooked "ragu" of vegetables. Second courses more sophisticated than the usual tagliana or polenta, with honest prices. We chose the venison but the duck and the fillet also stood out well. Last but not least, but I would say GREAT CONCLUSION: a surprising apple and ricotta tart, and a "cappuccino" of eggnog and salted chocolate crumble that leave a good memory on the palate. Professional maitre d' and excellent choice of wines, tasting rum as the icing on the cake. In the end I also bought an aniseed liqueur that they sold on the notice board. NB: Relaxing atmosphere and calm and unobtrusive waiters, as per the extremely quiet and non-noisy environment. We had a good time, come on, and were pleasantly surprised. It was great advice.

TO TRY! Restaurant inside a historic hotel in Sestola; refined menu with quality raw materials from our Apennines, with delicious mountain flavours, with presentation of gourmet dishes. Excellent wine list, served impeccably by the Maitre. Good value for money. Friendly waiters. (Yes, the silver foil in the image is edible 😍)

I went to this restaurant on a Sunday for lunch with my family. It was a pleasant discovery. Let me start by saying that I have celiac disease and although the restaurant is not certified for this intolerance, I ate very well and was able to choose from a good selection of dishes. Even warm gluten-free bread, a miracle to find it even in places certified for this intolerance. Very tasty local dishes, precise and very helpful staff. Fair prices! We will definitely be back!

I went to dinner with my wife, a romantic dinner also to "see" a very familiar environment again and try the cuisine of this new Sestolese restaurant. Let's start by saying that the welcome and service were absolutely first-rate, customer attention and attention to detail reign supreme (not easy to find even in more noble contexts at times). Definitely high level cuisine, venison 🦌 top marks and excellent desserts. Choice of accompanying wines, proposed by the maître d', nothing short of perfect. Courtesy and hospitality are at home! Let's move on to the things that need to be improved in order to give a full 5 stars in all categories: good but average tortelloni... the preparation of the mushrooms needs to be improved. What would absolutely give a "turning point" to the catering activity within this hotel structure is to dedicate an area (one above all the room adjacent to the kitchens but separate from the hotel's dining room, currently used as a baby club for guests of the Hotel) to further "separate" the two realities. Being served in the main hall implies having to go to dinner from 8.45pm onwards to avoid overlapping with the service dedicated to the Hotel's customers and finding oneself in a "promiscuous" environment which, however well looked after, does not make those who, like us, he intended to spend a more peaceful and "secluded" "romantic" evening. The potential is very high because the "perceived quality" is very high... you just need to make the "leap" and decide definitively whether you want to "go to mass or stay at home" 😉. Ultimately, however, a nice experience, worth repeating and which I recommend 😊
