It was my first time at this osteria, nestled in the Modena countryside and among the Lambrusco vineyards.
The restaurant is a blend of Emilian food and wine tradition and a contemporary vision: a place designed to rediscover the pleasure of good wine and hospitality, where the historic flavors of the region blend with some successful modern experimentation.
The building is a carefully renovated old farmhouse, with rustic-modern spaces characterized by exposed beams,
high ceilings, and a warm, light-filled, old-world atmosphere.
The view of the vineyards provides a truly relaxing and evocative setting.
The menu highlights Emilian cuisine, placing great emphasis on seasonality and the quality of the ingredients
(with the addition, in summer, of a garden BBQ featuring fine meats).
For our tasting, we chose gnocco fritto with Parma ham Rossi and Favola mortadella, macaroni al pettine with white farmyard ragù, beef tagliata with rosemary and sweet Cervia salt, pink fillet of Iberian pork with herbs, honey mustard sauce and roasted peach, and potatoes with a sand tangerine sauce.
All the dishes were excellent, well-executed, and prepared with quality ingredients.
The service is provided by a young, well-trained, and professional staff.
If you're in the area, I absolutely recommend it: you won't be disappointed!

I went to Mamma Rosa on Via del Mulino on Friday evening with my family and, as always, it was top notch. The place is spotless, the exterior is spacious and well-kept, and parking is convenient.
We had both pizza and fish: the pizza was very good and light, as always, the mixed fried fish was crispy and not at all greasy, and the grilled fish was incredibly fresh. Generous portions.
Very fast service and very kind waiters, even when the place was full. The quality/price ratio was excellent for a fish specialty.
Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!
09/08/2026: I ordered a takeout pizza over the phone, specifying that I would arrive about 30 minutes later. I arrived within the timeframe indicated and even showed the time I'd called, but the pizza still had to be prepared.
Furthermore, I found the response unprofessional. In my experience, the service didn't live up to expectations. I subsequently went to another pizzeria, where I received prompt and professional service.

20/05/2026: The staff were always friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was rather meager, but the coffee was awful. The rooms were fairly clean, though there were several stains on the bed. Whenever the cleaning staff had been, the smell of chlorine was very strong. Unfortunately, there were no outdoor seating options, and the place was very dirty.
10/05/2026: A good option for those who are traveling and need a comfortable place to rest.

10/02/2025: Locale elegante con personale abbastanza attento, ho mangiato una pizza margherita (classica) buona senza bruciatura. Dopo di che ho preso una zuppa inglese (dolce), l'impiattamento non era dei migliori, nella zuppa inglese non si sentiva il liquore e mi è sembrata anche secca. Il locale non è inosonorizzato e sono uscito dal locale con mal di testa.
21/10/2024: Small place with really good product and cooking. Incredible pasta and meat softer than butter and great taste.
