06/05/2026: We had lunch with friends and all ate daily specials prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Everything was homemade, including the cheeses and cured meats. The first courses were excellent and top-quality. The dessert was also fantastic, with mascarpone for the tiramisu made to order. Highly recommended.

26/03/2026: We stopped one night while hiking the BoM Art Trail. There's not much to add to the already many positive reviews: a warm welcome, and excellent food (both dinner and the super-abundant breakfast).

03/05/2026: To say excellent is an understatement. The welcome meatball with pepper was fabulous. I asked for more and was immediately satisfied. Tagliatelle with venison ragù was EXTRAORDINARY. Grilled veal with purple mashed potatoes. If you like flying, this is your dish, to be enjoyed together, as the mashed potatoes combined with the meat, which absorbed the aromas of the grill, is simply POETRY. The wine pairing recommended by Manuel was a fabulous Arneis and Sauvignon Blanc. Luis, a wonderful waiter, recommended the shortcrust pastry tart with lemon cream, strawberries, and a dollop of cream. I couldn't have asked for a better recommendation. EXCEPTIONAL. The background music accompanies you in a beautiful setting... Local cuisine, simple, with generous portions, but prices only slightly lower than those of a Bologna trattoria. The restaurant is rustic and basic, with an outdoor seating area. It's one of the few in the group of houses, also serving as a small market and tobacconist. There's a large parking lot 200 meters away, and it's located on popular CAI trails. Friendly and courteous staff. Good value, excellent sliced ​​meats, and dishes with truffles and mushrooms. Must try!

Given that I probably ate my tastiest sliced ​​steak in 40 years of traveling, I'd only make two minor observations, which should be taken as suggestions and not criticisms. When serving a tasting plate of assorted cheeses, it's always a good idea to indicate where to start; it's not always easy for the diner to understand. Since this is a family dinner on a Saturday night, there's no rush, and it's not a place with shifts, it's not a good idea to limit your appetizer intake because the first course is arriving and you'll eat it a little cold. No one's chasing us, but I can understand why some diners prefer the assembly line. In any case, we'll be back soon, and very willingly.
