07/09/2025: A guarantee! Fusilli with chicken, Florentine steak, and shank are simply perfect.

06/09/2025: High expectations, low outcome. After reading several recommendations online and reviews, we were ready to get amazed by the famous Trattoria Suban. However, it soon turned out to be a more „average“ restaurant near the city. Our appetizers were pre-made, the poached egg had the typical fridge after taste and the appetizer variation was rather cold than warm and sadly not fresh made. Taste wise it was ok, but nothing extra ordinary. We had the T-Bone steak for the main, which was rather chewy as it was undercooked and not medium rare as we ordered - which we also communicated to the waitress, without real feedback sadly. All in all, we would say it was rather average for the meals we had on this day - which made us sad, because Italy/Triest has always great food to offer.
