30/05/2026: Excellent food, we stumbled upon it by chance, but everything was truly excellent and the service staff were extremely kind.
The meat was fresh and cooked to perfection.

20/06/2026: We had lunch at this very local feeling spot. We didn't understand where to sit and no one was directing us so we took a seat at an open table (I think it was more the bar area), but were taken down to the dining room minutes later. Wonderful pasta. We were the only tourists there. Menu is not in English which was not a problem. Overall a great stop and we will be back!
30/05/2026: I've been here several times over the past 20 years.
After a few years off, I returned for lunch and was disappointed. Two side dishes, served on a single, truly paltry plate. The famous pork grill for two people: two sausages, half a slice of rigatina each, half a pork steak, and four small rosticciane.
It's certainly delicious (we didn't order it), but the Fiorentina steak at €65 is definitely the highest price I've seen on a menu in the area in recent years. I should try the fried fish again, which I loved so much here. But overall, the last experience was a negative one.

12/07/2025: Che dire ….. locale carino in un borgo del Chianti, cucina a mio avviso nella media , preso un crostino nero toscano….da toscano dico …no , tonno di coniglio dove ho trovato pezzettini di ossa … e due filetti dove si era chiesto connatura al sangue…..e non lo era….in compenso la carne buona ma a mio giudizio nella norma. Servizio , ok i ragazzi di Sala molto gentili, la ragazza che ha preso l’ordine un po’ “ scocciata “ non proprio in linea con il resto del personale.
Mi aspettavo qualcosa in più, prezzi adeguati a ciò che viene offerto.
…non credo tornerò…..
27/06/2025: Ci hanno accompagnati degli amici senesi. Siamo stati benissimo! Bellissimo ambiente, super professionali, piatti buonissimi, una delle bistecche più buone che ho mai mangiato! Ottima cantina! Complimenti!!!!
