The prices like in all Taormina very expensive
30/11/2024: I ordered the grilled fish for lunch: the fish had not been scaled and therefore I was getting scales in my mouth with the meat - yuk, never had that before. The restaurant was not full and service was just OK.

06/12/2024: A place in the center with a unique charm. They treated us wonderfully, the waitress is lovely. The pasta was delicious and so was the homemade flan. The presentation of the dishes is very fun with their beautiful ceramic designs.
02/12/2024: Highly recommended site. Excellent food, wine, dessert, everything delicious and very polite treatment. Very top!

15/10/2024: This place is sort of hard to find, but well worth the effort. We had the fish of the day prepared half Sicilian style and half grilled we complemented that with some beautiful Sicilian wine. We started it all off with a primi, a lobster pasta dish, which was well rounded in flavor and delicious (plate licking temptation)!
We sat on the patio with a beautiful view of the Ionian sea. Another thing that I really enjoyed is a sign that said if you don’t like cats., it’s OK if you dine elsewhere. We did see a couple cats, but none of them were begging (they all looked very well fed & cared for)
:-) also good to know, they are (well behaved) dog friendly on the patio.

This is much more delicious!
There are many dishes that impressed me here.
This is the only restaurant on my overseas trip that makes me want to go again.
The staff at the store were also kind and full of smiles.

21/08/2024: Antipasto con cozze decisamente micro, parmigiana di pesce molto buona, polpo rivedibile. Spaghetto con pesto di pistacchi e gamberi decisamente male, personalmente presenza di panna e soprattutto un pesto di pistacchio lontano dalla ricetta siciliana, il colore ed il gusto lo rendevano evidente, il gambero era all’interno della salsa, le aspettative erano anche di vedere i gamberi con un impiattamento differente. Diciamo che per 25 € vanno bene per gli inglesi, non per italiani che risultano avere esigenze diverse. Attenzione ne avrei spesi anche 30€ ma caspita un po’ di attenzione!
13/08/2024: Eravamo alla ricerca di un buon ristorante di pesce, cercando di evitare la ressa agostana e i locali per turisti (di bassa qualità). La nostra prima scelta era chiusa, così siamo finiti per caso qui. Appena sotto il comune, in un vicoletto stretto. Piatti curati, buoni e concreti. Ottimo il crudo di pesce così come i primi. Stupiti dal giardino interno e la sua tranquillità, siamo tornati una seconda volta. Il filetto di spigola con mollica e mandorle e caponatina a parte è qualcosa stellare. Ottimi anche gli spaghetti con pesto di pistacchi e gamberi...Servizio rapido, camerieri molto accoglienti. L'interno è anche più bello del giardino, ma visto il periodo, abbiamo preferito l'esterno...Lo abbiamo già consigliato ad amici, una perla a Taormina!

15/08/2024: Superlativo. Siamo arrivati senza prenotazione il 13 agosto a cena e si sono fatti in quattro per trovarci un tavolo senza dover attendere.
Pesce squisito: materia prima freschissima e di qualità cucinata in modo sofisticato ma delicato. Non avevamo mai mangiato un carpaccio di tonno con mozzarella di bufala; eravamo curiosi ma scettici, ma è uno dei piatti più buoni che abbiamo mai provato.
Anche misto di pesce gratinato e spaghetti con i gamberi rossi di Mazara superlativi. Porzioni abbondanti.
09/08/2024: Ce restaurant nous a été conseillé par l’hôtel où nous logions.
Un bon service, les plats choisis étaient bons à part le mien qui était super super salé avec 3 morceaux de poissons tout petits et trois crevettes!! Donc j’ai été très déçue vu le prix!
Ma fille et mon mari ont, quant à eux, bien mangé!
Je suis donc mitigée.

28/10/2024: This restaurant has a perfect location and a beautiful tree canopy that should make the atmosphere amazing…it’s constantly half empty though. We had some food there yesterday however the quality of food was disappointing, first the bread arrived with out drinks and it was not fresh, it was hard and dry. My air dried beef was ok but the rockets it was on was all curled up and dry, it wasn’t fresh. The king prawns were not fresh either and you could tell by its mushy meat inside. We also had spaghetti alla vongole but it was soooooo salty we couldn’t finish. They need to care more about the quality of food and freshness of the ingredients as they already have a perfect location but the food is below average. Sad.
24/10/2024: I was in La Botte 11 years ago, so on my next visit to Taormina this restaurant was my first choice. And unfortunately a great disappointment.
