RossoPeperoncino In Taormina

I rarely gush about anything, let alone a restaurant but I loved this place and so did my wife. We are in our fifties and have had many holidays. We have never went back to a restaurant more than twice on any trip even when it was great. We visited this true gem 5 nights in a row, sampling something different from the menu at each visit. The food is exquisite, the service impeccable and the location, just off the main street was quiet and beautiful. This is a family business and they really take care to look after you. We were sad to leave Taormina and would truly return in order to come here again. We ate a Caprese. Spaghetti al vongole. Swordfish. Sicilian Orange salad. Sea bass. Spaghetti aglio,olio e peperoncino. Polpette with lemon. Lamb shank and potatoes. Raw prawns with Orange (sublime) casata, tiramisu. Prawns in a Marie Rose sauce with orange. Hazelnut semi fredo. Spaghetti with anchovies. Pasta alla Norma and much more. The wine list was varied and sensibly priced. The food was well priced. Superb.

Went here initially on recommendation of our hotel (Villa Angela) and returned for a second time during our week in beautiful Taormina. Without a doubt our beast meal(s) during our stay , and there is lots of competition for good restaurants in the town!! . Beautiful setting, wonderful food and service . Burrata , steak and lamb shank come highly recommended. Good selection of local wines . Will DEFINITELY return .
