01/05/2026: An extremely disappointing experience at Pepe Nero restaurant in Catania, from every perspective. The location, which should be a positive impression, instead feels neglected, cold, and devoid of any character or atmosphere: an environment that doesn't encourage you to relax or enjoy the evening at all. The food was a real negative surprise: mediocre quality, dishes lacking in identity, and preparation that suggests little care and attention. The ingredients don't seem particularly fresh, and the overall result is far from what one would expect. The portions, moreover, are RIDICULOUS compared to the asking price, almost irritating. The final bill is simply unjustifiable: exorbitantly high for such a poor experience. You have the distinct feeling of having wasted your money. In conclusion, a restaurant that profoundly disappoints in every way. I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone: there are many better options in the city that are truly worth your time and money.

01/05/2026: Leaving aside the very '80s-inspired location, which I won't dwell on, the real downside was the dinner. A small piece of "nasty" meat passed off as fillet, mini pizzas at exorbitant prices that, compared to the pizza slices at Catania's Bellini airport, are cheap! Half of the "mini" pizza is crust, whose crust is incredibly difficult to digest. The bill was a real blow: almost 40 euros per person! And are we in Capri?! I strongly advise against it.

31/05/2026: Cold pinsa, cold and hard fries, very dark fried food, unsalted pasta, and "commercial" tomato sauce. The service was "nervous and unsympathetic," and the place was overly crowded and therefore noisy (perhaps a few fewer seats would make the place more pleasant to visit). Saturday nights are often a recipe for "uncomfortable evenings," but in this case, the food wasn't the best either.

29/05/2026: We were looking for something different from the usual and Masseria la Timpa was a lovely discovery. We felt right at home. We asked for gluten-free and dairy-free appetizers and they served us several really good dishes. We also had second courses and they were excellent. Debora and Simone were super kind and attentive and helped us and suggested the dishes. The food was good and with attention to detail. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend it.

24/04/2026: The food is excellent, nothing to complain about, but unfortunately the service is extremely disorganized. After a first evening experience last year where, due to the extremely long waiting times, we asked at a certain point not to bring us any more dishes that hadn't arrived, we gave the restaurant a second chance last Sunday. We arrived as scheduled at 1:30 PM. I understand the large turnout, I understand the unusual day, but they made us wait an incredibly long time for our order. The desserts arrived at the table at 5 PM! Not even at a wedding! I don't think we'll be back, even though the food is good. They should hire more kitchen staff for busy days, because waiting that long for food isn't an option.

31/05/2026: A very intimate and private venue. The fixed menu, from appetizer to dessert, is meticulously prepared. The appetizers are varied and very good, as are the three first and second courses. The staff is courteous.

12/05/2026: Terrible service, we were on a school trip, and they served us pasta with sauce and cutlet with chips, poor quality, to finish a small glass of ice cream and that's it, my son asked for a second ice cream and it wasn't given to him... I would have gladly paid the additional supplement, but on principle I refuse... Shame
