22/06/2025: My favorite place when I go to Sicily 😍 What can I say: welcoming, welcoming Dario and his family, quality food and a good selection of wines. Bar corner and equally welcoming outdoor areas surrounded by greenery. Generally making meat, fish and sushi is risky because they say you have to do one thing and do it well. In this case, however, everything they do is always excellent, from appetizers to desserts. And finally... super value for money! Absolutely a place to try

18/07/2025: If I could give zero stars, I would! Our food was disgusting! No taste, no flavor. The pasta was inedible and the meat was undercooked. It was very hot in the restaurant, and we really had to insist to get them to turn on the air conditioning. The service isn't great, and the welcome isn't warm. This is definitely a place to avoid! We thought we'd find quality, family-style cuisine there, but no... a real disappointment!!!

The bread and breadsticks reconnect us with Sicilian bread. A tribute to Mara for her professionalism. Congratulations to the entire team. I highly recommend it.

21/06/2025: C’ero stato anni fa e ne serbavo un buon ricordo. Abbiamo preso antipasti primi e secondi, nulla di eccezionale, a parte la pasta al sugo di triglie che consiglio.

14/06/2025: Ristorante accogliente e sobrio, servizio veloce, cucina non evoluta. Abbiamo cenato al Kalos con una coppia di amici. Come antipasto abbiamo assaggiato lo sformatino di melanzane, tuma e gamberi: piatto "piatto", melanzane scomparse sotto una quantità esagerata di mollica, gamberi messi nel piatto senza senso! Come primo abbiamo ordinato le linguine all'aragosta: buoni di gusto e generose le porzioni. Per finire abbiamo diviso in quattro un pesce San Pietro: buono il gusto del pesce, un po' meno le patate con olive, capperi e pomodorino che lo accompagnavano. Abbiamo lasciato il ristorante con la sensazione di non aver mangiato male, ma di aver gustato piatti troppo casalinghi, con gli impiattamenti sbagliati: l'aragosta nascosta dalle linguine, il San Pietro sotterrato dalle patate! Servirebbe una maggiore innovazione!

20/06/2025: The terrace has beautiful views and the service is very good, but the price is excessive for the quality of the food. 77 euros for two people for one main course, one glass of wine, and one coffee per person. Totally overpriced for Sicily.

22/05/2025: I was at Easter 2025, friendly and helpful waiting staff, Menu not up to the day and price. We, like the rest of the diners, were forced to sit in an uncomfortable position and without movement and we helped the waiters to serve us.

10/07/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant on our first evening in Agrigento; we chose it based on the very positive reviews. The location is very nice; we dined outside and it was really nice. The staff was very kind and always discreet. We had two appetizers; the cod was very good, while the scampi that accompanied it were a little less so; they were overcooked. The Sardines a beccafico were good, but I would recommend using less orange sauce underneath; it made them too sweet. The Spaghetti with Sardines were phenomenal, and the ravioli were good but not unforgettable. The grillo we drank was very pleasant, and to finish, a good cannoli... The bill was about €90. We'll return if we ever get to Agrigento again.

04/06/2025: We had such a lovely experience here. The chef and his wife are people who personify excellence while being totally warm and gracious -- you will want to hang out with them. The ambiance is charming; quirky in all the best ways. The meal is impeccable from start to finis (especially the opening appetizer tray & the wonderful breads): the only problem is that there is so much food, we were too full to make much of a dent in a gorgeous seafood en croute. It is also very good value for the quality. I regret that we live in San Francisco and cannot become regulars. I would have liked to review in Michelin for the star they so deserve, but there is no option for diner feedback as of yet.

28/05/2025: Premetto che siamo di Genova in vacanza per un fine settimana allungato ed abbiamo scelto di dormire a Montallegro solo per mangiare in questo ristorante. Si tratta di un Ristorante con la “R” maiuscola. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di conoscere tutta la famiglia e ci siamo trovati come se fossimo dei clienti abitudinari quasi amici. Durante tutta la piacevole serata abbiamo fatto un percorso meraviglioso con un menù degustazione eccellente. Complimenti veramente ad Adriana per la maestria con la quale ci ha raccontato i piatti e complementi allo Chef Damiano per le idee applicate nei piatti. Che dire peccato solo che siamo lontani se no avremmo avuto modo di tornare presto. Grazie della bella serata e grazie per il vostro lavoro.

28/06/2025: I have been to this restaurant with my family and we were thrilled. The food was excellent, the location very welcoming and elegant, the staff friendly, nice and attentive to the needs of the customer. We tasted different dishes including pasta (handmade), beef tartare, fish dishes including octopus with a mashed potato, super tender and desserts. Really everything delicious, I highly recommend it!!

25/06/2025: The service is very good, as is the setting... but the food... it's very mediocre, and I'm being kind. Considering the price, you almost wonder how there are so many positive reviews. Our choice: A fried fish starter for two, a homemade pasta dish with shrimp, octopus, and a bottle of prosecco. Result: Frozen shrimp, an unpleasant odor from the shrimp dish, nonexistent presentation, potatoes in every dish (75% of the fried food), and in this fried dish, "Arancini," the first item listed in the menu description, the only good thing, but there's only one. The octopus was good, but there was (still) mashed potatoes with it and little mousselines around it, impossible to identify the taste... "Naive," we certainly are when we paid €73 for two, indeed 😂 PS: I never comment. We came on the recommendation of our host, and I'll say it again, the servers were really very nice, but this is too much.

03/06/2025: The restaurant, located in the center of Castrofilippo, has an indoor dining area and a street terrace during the summer. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The service is relatively fast. The value for money is very good. The food is delicious. A must-see when you're in this area.
